  1. So much for the "Respectfulness and Acknowledgement" eh? Got you a lot of likes though

  2. Quite funny to hear the BBC Notts commentators endlessly talking about what a poor game it was and I was thinking this is one of the more interesting city games I've watched recently. We really have become accustomed to a terrible standard of football.

  3. We have the players. We dont have the manager.

  6. I've actually lost all interest now. Time to ring in some major changes in both management and playing staff. The club has the infrastructure but it seems like we've built Wembley to watch Yatton Athletic

  7. Although I go to most Rovers games, I like to read the reports as I miss most of the action looking at my phone checking to see how City are getting on ;)

  8. Feeling pretty accomplished today. I set out at the beginning of October to lose weight and get fitter and more active, and was doing really well, but fell back into the habit of eating and drinking too much, and not moving enough once lockdown kicked in. At the beginning of June I resolved to "close my rings" every day (Apple Activity terminology for 30 Mins exercise, 12 hours of standing for at least a minute, and 500 active calories per day) in June, and do at least one workout every single day in June, all while running in a daily calorie deficit. 27 x Weight Training Workouts 17 x Runs 11 x Bike Rides In total, 32 hours of workout time, covering 259 miles on foot and bike in June with an elevation gain of just under 18,000ft, or around 60% of the way to the top of Everest. Approx 25,000 calories burned through exercise. 19lbs down since October, 2 inches off the chest and 3 off the waist. Only just set up the scales to measure body fat, and don't think it's overly accurate, but it reckons I've gone from 18.6% at the beginning of June to 17.1% at the end. Observations: My knees hurt I need some new running shoes I'm a sucker for hilly runs/rides Music is essential to running motivation for me. Since I got my headphones I've done longer runs and don't mentally flag so soon.

  9. Blackburn we were terrible and we lost. Sheff Wed was bang average and we lost. Tonight we played well and we lost. All that is left is to batter Cardiff with 20 shots on target and to lose 1-0 and we will have rounded out the how to lose a football match in every which way. Personally believe that no matter what type of performance LJ gets from the players the results remain the same. When it gets like that then I think a change is in order. The most compelling thing for me over the last 3 games is that the opposition GK always seems to have an easy night, regardless of our performance. That to me suggests that the manager isn't setting the team up right to win football matches.

  10. LLLDDLLL We've scored what, 5 goals in the last 8 games? Haven't scored more than once in any of them. Have had the least shots at goal in the entire division! It's quite shocking really. What an opportunity we had with the break to regain some confidence, get people fit and mount a push for the play-offs. Wasted.

  12. Best 45 minutes of football we’ve played for a long time.

  13. Well folks, I thought I would give this a go inspite of feeling rather miffed with football. I would say we are all feeling the blues. I suspect a fair number of us over 45ers can remember the day we got a result in the cup at the City ground. I am saying this from pure memory. The most vivid part of the trip north was when we scored, someone help me out and say who - Barnard?, I was at the front of the long stand. I jumped for joy ripping a 6' gash in my new green cords. Plus a bit of blood later I recovered my sense of balance and thought for a while we were invincible. Not felt that way until we were promoted with Stevie C to be fair. Or perhaps for a smidgeon when Korey got that goal v Man U. An away win bizarrely puts us back, sort of, into the mix. I shall not wait up but look forward to reading this forum match day tomorrow post by post and feel the anticipation, the glory, the dullness.... Shall I end there?. Night all.

  14. Bit harsh Tone. I played for Yatton for 4-5 seasons before managing the 1st team for 7 years and we were better to watch than City I reckon.

  15. Why is that specifically LJs fault? Think he’s got the team set up and play right tonight, the players need to do more on the pitch. Take a risk, be more clinical.

  16. Nagy best player on the pitch by some distance

  17. At least we're still playing ,not like your numpty bottom of the range leagues that no ****** is interested in and is more trouble than it's worth to continue............basically saying "who the **** cares " ! What is it with you recently, rag week ?

  18. Last 10 games : won 1, lost 7 at the business end of the season, having been around the playoffs all season and getting in a proven striker in January. What more is needed? Times up Lee

  19. Decent performance , specially first 45, and if we'd have played like that the first two games we wouldn't be where we are. Plus points Nagy looked the the player we need, faded a little 2nd half but not too surprising Smith with Nagy looked more solid, again mainly first half. Benik looked a threat through the middle, he also looked rusty, which I think we can forgive him for. COD looked much better wide, got more involved and actually tried taking his man on. JD looked near his old self. Vyner got 90 minutes, goo long throw. Palmer's passing , get him fit and involved. Generally more movement, pace in closing down, control and passing was better. Over 90 minutes probably as good as we've been this season. Minus Points Crossing was poor and passing deteriorated. Ashley Williams? that's the last we'll see of him. Well's started poorly and drifted. Pato was the version that really annoys me Vyner continually get caught in possession and his crossing/long passing was dreadful. Generally not clinical enough in the final 3rd If you took this game on it's own, I'd be reasonably pleased. Now whether that's because I was so down after the other two games I don't know. Nagy and Smith looked very good first half, worked well and Weimann and COD busy wide with the two in the middle working together well, mainly Afobe I admit. We looked reasonably solid, carried potential threat and the tempo was good. I even thought the free kick they scored from was harsh, they did that well on a few occasions. Williams? I've seen those as a yellow, and don't forget Bailey Wright got a suspension for getting hit like that and the blokes red overturned. It shows we can play with intensity and purpose, now Cardiff is an interesting one. Lose that and Lansdown surely has a decision to make, to be honest I think he has one to make anyway. Whichever way you look at it, another opportunity wasted.

  20. Dunno why everyone's so upset, given the number of people who wanted us to lose...

  21. As someone who hasn't played football for over 20 years I would have comfortably save both efforts Lets be honest it was one of those performances where we could play for hours and never score !! I was surprised how little Wells was involved tonight - but in truth it was just typical frustrating old city yet again

  25. Better and we showed signs of being a good side at times however individual errors and moments of Madness not just Williams Korey lost his head and was kicking that guy on the floor he should have gone as well. However LJ has proved he can take us no further and time to go

  26. Moronic by Williams. Second time this season. Hope he never plays for us again.

  28. I think 8 points in our last 11 games is something that Lee has to bear a little bit of responsibility for?

  29. Anyone else just know it was going in as soon as we gave it away?

  30. Hang on a minute. That moment from Weimann wasn't LJs fault. Players need to take responsibility for their mistakes.

  31. And that....is why we will never become a top 6 team under this manager Even in the games we do ok in, we fail to capitalise Let’s hope he is gone by tomorrow or the very latest, Monday

  33. To little to late, we have already thrown away 6 points since the restart. 6 points while tinkering away with players he’s already had for nearly 40 games. Let’s face it, he still hasn’t a clue on which players, which formation, or the style of football the team will play from one game to another.

  36. I'll have a few quid with you that most members of this forum find out how we have got on within a few minutes of your own game ending , I don't mind admitting that- if we are mid table- the next result I look for is yours. I think that is all 'part of the fun'. There is a certain irony in your post in that it is on the one 1301st page of a thread about us . Enjoy the rivalry, I do :)

  37. Most of us think LJ's time is up but, pointless abuse aside, maybe ten minutes in after a bight start where we have dominated possession and had more chances than the opposition is the wrong time to bring it up. There's a fair chance we'll be losing in an hour's time so show a bit of patience.

  40. LJs most trusted (but cr@p) Wiemann and COD start again... never felt like this before but honestly hope Forest tank us 6-1 or something, in the hope that will open SLs eyes to get rid of LJ.

  43. Was living in Tamworth at the time and got to say all my Brummie mates were massively impressed by our following that night. They couldn’t believe we had the side as well as the away section terrace. Up there with best atmosphere with City away. Ashby was fun too! Still remember that Mardon goal and the Walshy shuffles on the wing. Match was shown on Central TV and still have the video. Happy days.

  44. A fantastic night. I can still recall to this very day the Forest fans giving it large. When Mardon scored, it was awesome. I have to say that night we were brilliant and you had to feel for John Pender. All in all, it was brilliant.

  47. I’ll fess up! I always look to see how the Gas have got on. I started watching city in the late 80s. At that time the clubs were very evenly matched (on the pitch at least) and the rivalry was bloody fierce. Even though over the years we’ve pulled ahead of them generally, I still can’t break that mindset of having to see how they’ve done (or more commonly these days, who they’ve been done by!).

  48. You still don’t see how sad it is to be at a home game but checking our result. I genuinely don’t know who you are playing from one week to the next . You as a fan base are more concerned with us doing well than you’re own club. It’s why you’ll never do anything
