  4. Things get ‘ intimate ‘ at our neighbours. Quote from coach and shirt designer Ben Sherman ; ’ We've said all along we want a tighter squad this season, we want less numbers but a tight night group and we want them all pulling together‘ Courtesy of the BP.

  8. The issue with masks is that they do restrict gas flow to some degree when filtering the air that you breath. For the vast majority of people with no breathing issues this is not a problem at rest or during mild exercise as the tidal volumes that you breathe and the rate will be relatively low. With increasing amounts of exercise, it becomes more problematic, as you breathe more deeply and quicker. However even with moderate exercise, it’s the sensation of feeling a bit breathless exacerbated by the filtering effect of the mask slowing the flow somewhat rather than any appreciable change in either oxygen or carbon dioxide that kicks in first. That’s likely why those with existing problems with flow of air into their lungs, e.g. those with asthma or COPD, may find it worse with a mask, especially if they are doing any form of activity. Having tested staff wearing the much more occlusive FFP3 masks, we know that in “normal usage” that body oxygen and carbon dioxide levels are not affected. As for the return to grounds to watch games, I still think that even if this does restart, numbers will be very limited for some time (probably until we have an effective vaccine), which could mean that this coming season is pretty much a write off as well. As for when we might see full grounds again, no one really knows.

  15. Must be a structure in place by now as they’re starting to play there in 12 months according to Wael last year. All the fittings and electrical work takes a long time as we know. Then the car park, tours to let fans see the new stadium in their droves for season tickets, media storm as the massive club finally get their new stadium and everyone nationally agrees they’re so much better than them gurt teds. Obviously they are already building it and can extend so the surge for tickets means they will have to do that before opening. Obviously, Waels’ mate, Will Smith will be opening it backed up by Carlton dancing to ‘Its not unusual’ in his own inimitable style while Bristols first £10M player laps up the adulation and leads a chorus of ‘we’re coming for you’ from the adoring hordes.... Aah, better scrub that, they’ve done naff all and don’t actually own it! Surprised? Me neither. OTIB

  16. Only a year to go and they'll have the stadium built and moved in - according to Wally Chatting to someone who has an interest in the Fruit Market a couple of weeks ago and he reckons it'll take at least two years for them to find a new place and move in from the time an offer is accepted - only when all businesses have moved out and found land/premises can demolition and building the stadium begin. They would be looking at around five years from time of offer acceptance to having a stadium ready. The costs, considering the complexities of finding land and build costs for the outgoing businesses would be astronomical and have multi-millions tied up for years while the businesses move. Still, its all very simple according to Wally - two years from last August and they're in. They'll be camping out for a few years yet.

  17. You answered that question in your first sentence...totally and utterly deluded, they think they’re some massive club who everyone loves and admires. In reality no one gives a shit about them and that includes most people who live in Bristol.
