I liked the idea that someone made a while ago (not on here) that they do a hard reboot and go back to the 60's with the story lines. Something different. Doubt anyone involved would go with it though.

Another amusing story of a weird cup exit for Rovers. 92/93. They were trying to get into the Anglo-Italian cup. As a kind of qualifier I guess, they had to win a group of them, West Ham and Southend. First they played West Ham and drew 2-2, Next they beat Southend 3-0. Looking pretty good so far, West Ham would need to beat a 3-0 win to qualify. West Ham beat Southend 3-0. So Rovers and West Ham are both on 4 points, their game against each other was a draw, and they had the same goals scored. Nothing to separate them. Normally at this point it would go down to discipline, and the side with less bookings and/or red cards goes through. I'm not sure if this was also tied or not, but it went to a coin toss. So were there club representatives sent to a location for it to be carried out? No, it was done over the phon, and they lost. Rovers were knocked out of their chance of European football (of a sort) by the toss of a coin which they couldn't even witness.

Given the Massive attack comments, I thought I would tell you a true story. A couple of years ago, I was recruiting for a contractor in the Bristol area and ended up taking a lovely guy called Sean on. He was a red SC holder and used to go to matches with his mate Rick. A while later after Sean got a permanent job he said he was going to see his friends band. I said 'pub band'? 'Nah, a bit bigger than that'. Turned out to be Massive attack at Filton and Sean was just their mate and they bought SCs together. All our customers now call him 'Massive' which makes him feel good. Mates from their Easton days and big City fans.

The 15ers have signed some kid from Chelsea on loan. Most of the assheads on ass-shat don’t seem very impressed that they have another youngster on their books. They are claiming that we were not very impressed when we took Tammy on loan. As usual; they have got it all wrong. I can recall nothing but excitement amongst us when the deal for Tammy was finally secured. It had taken all summer, after all !

I think they need to go look at Casino Royale (one of the best ever Bonds) and some extent Skyfall and work up why they were good films and stick to this path. Craig has been dealt some absolute garbage, particularly with Quantum of Solace.

I think it’s hard to try and play football after so much running as your body is only used to the continuous forward movement, the twists and turns are so demanding and need familiarisation again Went really well thanks! Finished in 10:51:05. Initial goal (other than just showing up, and finishing!) was 10 hours and was looking good for it but fell apart around mile 38. It was a 3.3 mile course 15 laps, so after every 3 laps I got some food in(as I’d done in training). I took a 15 minute planned break after lap 9 (29ish miles) did some massage, changed socks etc and felt great but think I went a bit too hard for a couple of laps and pushed the pace too much. Mile 38-45 was an absolute slog and a lot of walking, the pain was unbearable but I got a second wind for the last lap, adjusted my goal to 11 hours on the fly and finished strong! was a good little event, shame covid meant you didn’t really get to talk to people too much but the team running it were great, really friendly and supportive. 9 people did the full 50 out of 40ish runners and most were doing their first ultra. In a whole world of pain now though and managed a couple of hours sleep but now wide awake ?

I know "can we play you every week" is something of a cliche but they just might be on to something. Didn't make the trip over there but first half was poor, after the interval we raised our game and were deserved winners. Top of the league is good and all very well but it's like two games we've played along with others, a bit soon to be getting carried away. Some (of our) supporters are getting excited and while not to knock your own, but some of our fans will do a dance every time the fridge light comes on. We have Rochdale next, I can see three wins out of three but that's just the sort of opposition that have caused us problems before. If it seems too good to be true it usually is. We're going to leave Rovers alone for now, I'm tired of beating them ? but we really need to be getting out of this League as soon as possible and return to the second level. Yeah we're not the force of years before, but us in the third division ? Come on it's not really on is it.
