  1. Rumour has it they’ve been offered a striker, this is my very favourite suggestion...

  6. Can't even use those now, they keep losing their matches.

  7. More chance of getting Daniel Sturrage than the better known Daniel Sturridge, I suppose

  8. I think it is highly likely the clubs involved here have done this specifically to highlight the stupidity of the current arrangement at a level where some teams don’t get crowds of 1000 anyway.

  9. Yet the Premier league show every game at different times so you can sit in a pub all day Saturday and Sunday watching every game, makes no sense ? Even changed the 8:15 KO times so they didn’t miss the end

  10. Really?! I didn't know that. Have you been ? Was it a full house ? I'd be right up watching their final game on Sunday. 4 teams going for 3 play off places.

  12. We're laughing but it's not like they suggested Daniel Sturridge. Daniel Sturrage is currently playing in the 8th tier of the Isle of Wight League. It's worth the Gas giving it a go, he might want to take a step down.

  13. Maguire was suggesting losses of £27m! Bellingham’s transfer will be in next year’s accounts. You would’ve thought that 19/20s numbers ought to result in points deduction...shouldn’t it?

  14. The larger sports bars would be ok Allstars have the social distancing down to a tee, could easily have a game shown on multiple screens around a venue

  15. And that would be the biggest problem imo. With the reduced amount of people in pubs it probably wouldn't be viable - they are nearly full anyway given the current (necesary) restrictions. The days of being packed in to watch England in the Sports Bar or pub raking in the money are long gone and not to return anytime soon.

  16. Yep, it’s a difficult balance. How much would a genuine iFollow (if even available) or Sky commercial sub cost?

  17. Nice watch for him maybe. Probably paying for it with monthly instalments. The sort of watch Steve Lansdown would give to his gardener as a thank you gift for keeping the flowerbeds tidy.

  18. Went to my first live football since February lastnight, went and watched Bridgwater Town v Buckland athletic , was so good to see live football again, Thought I would post here so people knew what it's like no to go live, when u get there u have to put your name and phone number in a book, then use had watch before paying at the turnstile, where u got you cup of tea was no sitting down and different door in and out, in the stands it was 1 seat in use then 2 taped off, Point is all this could be easy enough done down the gate , and probably to an even safer level as there would be lots of people to control things, Anyway Bridgwater won an entertaining game 1-0 think I will be going a few more times to get my live football fix before this government lts me back in the gate,

  20. Really? Didn’t know that. It’s definitely happening. I guess the club can’t be seen to do it though. Well that flies in the face of “we’re socialising too much, stop it” so it’s just all nonsense at this point from the government. In theory, tables of 6 and no chatting to anyone outside of your 6 - well I’m pretty sure at that level most people in the clubhouse will know each other so that won’t happen ? Meanwhile, those playing outside of the pyramid aren’t even allowed to use changing rooms. Seems sensible with the cold weather approaching, making everyone get changed outside in the wet and cold

  21. What's crazy about that ? No different to watching it in a pub. Surprised City haven't done it in the Sports Bar. Would certainly create a nice bit of revenue. As long as rules of social distancing are met i.e. table service, no more than 6 etc then it's all good. I'd certainly go.

  25. It worked in Sweden as there is still a social contract that the Government is there for the people, which is what retains trust, and why they have done what was required. Pretty much the same in Germany. It’s not the case here because quite rightly many feel that Johnson & co don’t really give a stuff about them as long as they are alright, plus Cummings et al are allowed to “interpret the rules” however they see fit, but we have to follow them and get blamed for spreading the virus by breaking them. One thing that annoys people more than anything is hypocrisy, and this lot are full of it!
