I was absolutely buzzing after that game. It’s a long time since I felt that about City. I never thought I would say that.7 points

The Government has decided that Ashton gate will bee used as a super hub for vaccination against COVID 19. This was announced last week as Ashton Gate would make a fantastic venue with it's modern stadium. However in order not too upset the blue few and in interest of fair play the Government has decided that the memorial stadium will be used for vaccination against the small pox virus. A spokesman said they couldn't think of a better place as the memorial stadium is the home of a small poxy club.6 points

Actually the scheduled move in date is in 8 months time. Mr Al-Quidi’s interview with Sam Frost in the Evening Post has stimulated a massive debate on the Rovers’ fans forum with most Gasheads eagerly looking forward to the coming thaw so that work on both the stadium and training ground can continue. The consensus is that with Mr Al-Quidi and his dynamic board of directors at the helm there has never been a better time to be a supporter of BRFC. Of course we feel for other EFL clubs who are close to administration and begging for financial help but, as our midfield maestro Josh Barrett will tell you, football is all about the survival of the fattest.4 points

Always thought I might have trouble choosing which side to support in a big match when Exeter (closest and very successful team, many local born and bred players)) played against Bristol (Bristol Sport, Ashton Gate, my father’s team). The day has arrived ...and it’s easy...... Come on you Bears!3 points

Blimey the state of the two clubs, it will be getting to a point where the sub-forum will be entitled..............All Things Bristol City !2 points

STATEMENT. This really could be our year. What a defensive performance. I really can't wait to get back and watch the Rugby.....unlike the football. Which deep down is a shame. Why the hell Lansdown can't run the football like the Rugby???? Get in Bris!!!!2 points

From the snippets I saw on the BBC they gave a pretty good account of themselves. The sags on the other hand were woeful at the back. Even I could go past that defence and I have piles and a limp.2 points

If it gets any more mentions, then the skip will have to be named MOTM!2 points

I believe it always was known as The Memorial Ground. It's only those ***** who have tried to call it a stadium. The "Mem Stad" eh!?!2 points
-
The commentator just called it the 'memorial GROUND' , good lad as that is NOT a stadium by any stretch.2 points

ball landed in a skip according to the radio? I thought that was everytime it lands at the Mem...2 points

Not just you @Super, I haven't given a F for months. I did get a ticket for PNE, but more to enable meeting my normal match-going crowd that caring about what might happen on the pitch. Close the whole thing down, I wouldn't give a toss.2 points

Personally it is the only thing I have in my life outside of working at the moment Before this season I couldn't care less about anything outside Bristol City, but I have taken an interest in other teams all around the country and god forbid found myself watching the Premier League games recently too My one frustration about football is how some players carry on with life as if there is nothing going on I appreciate that this is selfish but I would personally really struggle without having sport on TV at the moment.2 points

Didn’t see it today but I’m guessing the goal against Tamworth? Which was, in fairness, a ******* superb finish.1 point

I'm well into my 50's, overweight and with dodgy knees, however I reckon I've still got more pace than half the Sag defence... Love it...?1 point

Not seen much of them, but now seem to have got into the Prem primadonna way of wandering around, far cry from the high intensity high press team that went up and done well last season.1 point

Maybe so. Headline in today's Bristol Live: "Demolition of infamous Bristol eyesore finally underway."1 point

I'm watching it on my streaming service. My lad said 'where's that shithole' before realising it was the mem and my Mrs started singing Irene to wind me up. I hope she doesn't get too cold in the garden! All Blades as far as I can see, lovely header for the goal as well. Hoof it at Ayunga (sp?) seems to be their tactic, he's a big unit to be fair.1 point

Blimey @BigTone, I've only just read this. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Sir. I'm another that lost a parent some time ago now but there still isn't one day I don't remember the happier times. My sincere best wishes to you and your family and I hope you are allowed to travel once your wife is on the road to recovery and you make it in time.1 point

Marathon training started this week, although I've already gone off plan (1st week doesn't matter!) I'm doing 37 miles in total this week and somehow have to build to 50 mile weeks. Not sure my right knee can withstand that, particularly with my lack of stretching and strengthening...1 point

Does anyone really care about football at the moment? Really does feel irrelevant at the moment and has for a while. Maybe its just me i dunno!?1 point

At the moment there are no plans to vaccinate everybody in the country (well not for quite a while) the idea is to vaccinate the people most a risk first, that should be done in the next 8 weeks, there are more vaccines coming on stream very soon so I think your estimate of Christmas is very pessimistic to say the least though I don't think we will be going back to the gate this season I will be surprised if fans are not there by the start of next season.1 point

Great post. One thing I'd like to add to this, everyone, it's great to tell people you are always there to lend an ear and talk but please, please make sure if you know anyone who is struggling, has struggled in the past or you have any concerns, pick up the phone and give them a call. I see a lot of people who say "I'm there for you, call me if you need" but a lot of people facing dark times won't do that. They will be too worried they'll be judged, won't want to bother you or are so down they can't even face the effort of picking up the phone. Give your friends a call. Give people you know are on their own a call. Take 5 minutes of your time just to check in and say "Hi mate, how are things?" That could really make the difference to someone's day.1 point
