  1. This 'incredible support' they talk of, is it numbers? No, we treble them numbers wise. Is it noise? No, their own supporters were moaning how quiet the mem has been. What do they base this constantly used delusional garbage on? Has a referee said their ground was so noisy it sounded like a full Nou Camp? No, that was us against Hartlepool. Is it numbers taken to Wembley? Can't be with a whole tier empty, which we filled easily for a game far less important than a play off final. They constantly spout it but I've no idea of it's basis.

  2. rare or not, still a better thing to see than a PL shirt, at least he's keeping it local

  3. I am sure they will be fine ... just up until their last game of the season when the opposition send them down wearing their own rag shirts. I know , I am being ridiculous, something like this could never happen.

  4. Saturday could almost be d day for them. Wigan home to Crewe and wombles home to swindle. Wins for the home teams and Lincoln doing the biz at the dump and they could very easily be 6pts from safety. ?????

  5. Optimism at its finest! Try not to be too downbeat!! When the chips are down our fans prove their worth Look at the crowds we got in the conference! If we hold our own with a new spine of a team next season we will see the players respond to our backing and vocal support It’s been a dire season and one to forget, but I’ll still be there as proud as ever whatever division we are in!!

  6. Poor kid. Imagine being brought up with that lot. My 15 year old lad just laughed when he saw him, and to be fair is still laughing. Trained him well I have

  7. Didn't really understand why he was calling out Khan. Everybody knows Khan is finished at the top level as is Brook.

  8. They have already lost at home this season to Rochdale, Swindon & Wigan, drew 0-0 with Wimbledon. They are a laughing stock, I usually think they will sneak their way out of things with a dodgy penalty or sending off, but they could well go down. Hilarious, isn’t it?

  11. Nothing wrong with LJ, gave us some good times (as well as bad) but Lee and his dad were, and still are Bristol City through and through, Sunderland have got a good manager who will get them promoted I'm sure, I for one wish him all the best.

  12. Exactly this. Its called "gaslogic" you can't take seriously anything they say. Just like da famous quarters. Nothing original there, clubs like Everton were playing in quartered shirts early in the last century. Hardly original, more like way past it's sell by date, just like the stale crisps. And what about the dirge prostitute song, again nothing original there, stolen from Plymouth Argyle. A nothing club with a history of f all.

  19. He's only 24 and just had a kid, sounded to me like he was just letting out some frustration at not being able to spend much time with his newborn. I think that's understandable. I'll get on the blower to one of my Albanian builders!! Game as **** AND they accept cash!

  20. Haha fair enough. I was being a bit facetious about a fight with Khan- he'd be good on Benn's resume because of his achievements, of course. The thing is Khan's only any sort of major draw any more in his own mind. I heard him trapping on the other day about potentially fighting Brook at Old Trafford! Maybe in 2014, Amir. Agreed, so don't sit there bloody moaning about it then! There's a decent case from Fury's point of view to shake off some rust before a Joshua fight. There must be a 5'4 Hungarian or similar eager to make some cash too!

  21. Isn't that one of your biggest bugbears about Joshua though?! Benn was sat bemoaning his lot and the terrible cruelty of being away from his family to earn sacks of cash before the fight- not sure that's very media savvy Also calling out Amir Khan after the fight? He might as well have called out Emile Griffith for the relevance Khan has now haha.

  23. Jared Warner, ex-England U19 and Yorkshire, should be available but he's currently playing in the Seconds at Worcester (took 2-40). I'm not sure if David Worrall, the Australian seamer, is out of quarantine yet. If he is, he'll probably come in. Someone (possibly Jack Taylor) also needs to drop out to accommodate Kraigg Brathwaite in the top three as well.

  27. Just reading their forum reminded me how frustrating LJ is. Developing players, lovely bloke but counter that with streaky runs, endless formation changes, random team selections. He hasn't yet started calling out players and blaming everyone but himself but no doubt baffling them with his clever remarks and catchphrases. I wish him well, and hope he finds the magic formula but don't miss him one bit.

  28. It would just be so weird if they do go on a losing streak now. Streaky at 3 different clubs and over multiple seasons here but nothing really tangible to explain it, unless it's sort of become a self-fulfilling prophecy after say the first 2 at Barnsley and here. Do the players start to think 'here we go again' and are affected psychologically. I'm sure a psychologist would have a field day.....

  32. 13-8-5 in Lg1.....still a good record though. I said that when took over, playoffs was minimum expectation, and I’m pretty sure he will deliver that. Tick in the box. But I bet he had sights on autos after the good run. Still on, but bit of nerves....and playoffs, they are there to be shot at.

  33. They might as well wait until the end of the season to form an opinion IMHO. We all know he is streaky but if his streaks in L1 are 29 points in 11 games and then one in 3 that's pretty decent and will get you promoted. If on the other hand this streak runs until the end of the season then that's poor.

  35. Benn has really improved. He's got a good personality too - right mix of humble and brash. Broner would be a really good name. I think Josh Kelly could be a good fight for him too.

  36. I met him a few times years ago in a business context, nothing to do with football. You couldn't meet a nicer person, he came across as warm, friendly and genuinely engaging. Lovely fella. I think the answer to that one is that he's the only one who earned the right to those resources by taking the team from the brink of the relegation zone to the fringes of the play off places. And Cotts, who will always remain a City legend for me, was afforded comparatively rich resources to build the side comprising the best players in league 1. So fair enough I think.
