  2. Saver alert.............Skybet are offering 4/1 about them staying up, so if (like me) you are into insurance bets this seems very good. As soon as I place my (sizable) bet, their fate is sealed !

  3. Wise words from the Blue Few. In fairness I've been caught with this "moody gear" once or twice - Once (in a cheapy type store) I bought some Farenheit looking aftershave, only to look more closely when I got home to realise it was actually called "Fireandheat"! I've also eaten Ken's Fried Chicken, and bought Odidas trainers (silly me)... But perhaps my most embarrassing faux pas was a couple of years ago at The Memorial Stadium, where I picked up a piece of Bristol Blue inscribed with "Doncaster United" instead of "Doncaster Rovers"! I really should know better by now...! ? C.N.U.T.S.

  6. Only some numpties like the Trotters would try to sell "hookey" sag clobber at this time, unless, of course they're nocking out moody blue and white scarves with the printed legend "WE'RE BACK! " on it !

  7. The latest gaffe from Quarter mass at the pits , their , and I use the word loosely, ‘plans’ for the new training ground didn’t take into account the ‘ support ‘ staff and thereby need to be amended. They forgot that people other than the people they employ to shame themselves professionally on the football pitch need to be housed in what is , nevertheless, a training complex . Only at the Gas .

  12. But they've got 5 games left. 5 wins gives them 15 more points, taking them to a grand total of 71 points* for the season. Upper mid-table finish in my book. *courtesy of Gashmatics

  15. Exactly this. Its called "gaslogic" you can't take seriously anything they say. Just like da famous quarters. Nothing original there, clubs like Everton were playing in quartered shirts early in the last century. Hardly original, more like way past it's sell by date, just like the stale crisps. And what about the dirge prostitute song, again nothing original there, stolen from Plymouth Argyle. A nothing club with a history of f all.

  26. George Bartlett scored a Century when we beat Glos last year; today would prove timely if he can repeat it. In other news; Essex now 77/8! I am pleased Durham appear to be improving this season after the deal they were dealt by the powers that rule English cricket. Sorry George ?. Does anybody know why the stream appears to be only showing from behind the wicketkeeper, rather than behing the bowler's arm?

  29. They are holding a ballot for members to attend the County Championship fixture against Hampshire, T20 against Essex, Surrey, Kent and Glamorgan. But capacity is capped at 2,000, supporters are also spaced out around the ground and have to stay in their specified seat, Somerset also mentioned that if it rained people would have to stay in there seats (or leave the ground) as people would not be allowed to congregate in the shop / cafe / museum The first full capacity game is Hampshire in the T20 on Friday 25th June, after that all home games are on sale as pre-covid

  33. If Wigan and the Wombles win on Saturday and the Sags lose then they'll be 6 points from safety with 4 games to play. They'd need 2 wins just to close back up to safety. It really could be all over in all but name come 17:00 this Saturday.

  39. I used to work under an umbrella company so had my own registered business for a while. One of my colleagues, that wasn't the best engineer but a good laugh, registered his business as 'Deja vu engineering' as he always had to go back. Great fella he was, bloody hopeless engineer though.

  42. This 'incredible support' they talk of, is it numbers? No, we treble them numbers wise. Is it noise? No, their own supporters were moaning how quiet the mem has been. What do they base this constantly used delusional garbage on? Has a referee said their ground was so noisy it sounded like a full Nou Camp? No, that was us against Hartlepool. Is it numbers taken to Wembley? Can't be with a whole tier empty, which we filled easily for a game far less important than a play off final. They constantly spout it but I've no idea of it's basis.

  45. I rarely post on here anymore and usually just come on here to kill time and have a flick through some of the topics that sound interesting or if there’s anything big (transfers etc) happening at the club, but I had to do forgotten password to comment on this. I went to sixth form with Stan for two years and then he was goalkeeper for the team we formed in the suburban league for the first couple of seasons before he went to uni and made the odd cameo appearance when he could after that so we know each other pretty well despite not talking much for the last couple of years. All I can say is that in every episode I’ve heard he’s 100% being himself and in my eyes has done incredibly well to grow the podcast into what it is, from the guests he can attract, to the sponsorship from Mansion and obviously the time and effort he puts into it. He’s in his mid-twenties so obviously the younger viewers are probably going to ‘get’ the quirky humour a lot more and therefore as a whole maybe enjoy the podcast more in general. I’m sure there are older listeners that do still enjoy it because it’s well-prepared and despite the humour there is still a lot of real debate about important subjects around the club. Because podcasts like this the host will always have his own opinion if people don’t align with Stan’s a lot of the time they probably won’t enjoy the podcast, but overall I think he does a very good job putting it all together and the majority of people that listen to it and obviously regular listeners do enjoy it. Like other people have mentioned there’s other podcasts out there with a different feel and probably a bit of a different target audience so there’s something for everyone. I mean if Arsenal Fan TV can be successful then Christ I’m pretty sure there’s hope for all of our fan content.

  46. You could say that! Covered City on GWR from 83-94 [station changed to all music] and also did Clubcall as a freelancer in the late 80's and through the 90's until they took on full time regional editor [Jed Pitman], did matchday PA @ Ashton Gate 93-99 [after Phil Tottle, before Sam Mason!], did a bit for Canal+ commentating on Serie A. One of our early Episodes detailed my City "credentials" : https://www.podbean.com/eu/pb-pbxdd-e14726

  48. To be fair this was a particularly poor OSIB episode and not demonstrable of the quality normally put out. @Shtanley and @petehinton do a brilliant job with it and normally get the balance of views, the feeling of the supporters and the amount of humour about right. Don’t let this one put you off, listen to the one before which was superb or some of the Cider Withs which are excellent.

  49. Let’s see you do better then. The boys have produced some cracking shows and their ‘Ciders with’ series have been great listens.
