  1. If anyone says they wouldn't have taken a point at 1-0 down, a man down and facing a penalty then they're a liar.

  2. Remember reading the overkill on here when he made that terrible mistake at Coventry “the worst player to ever play for us” apparently. Although he didn’t have the influence on today’s game of others I would be willing to bet that he is one of very few that are out of contract that we offer fresh terms to. There was one superb tackle on Harris second half & his availability, commitment & professionalism stands out. I do think we have real issues at right back (Hunt was poor again today & Simpson at 34 is merely a stop gap) but with Dasilva not someone you can bank on to play 30+ games I reckon TR will still be with us next season.

  3. If my calculations are correct, Janneh is the twelfth academy player to appear for us this season, plus two more on the bench. That's obviously not including Moore or Massengo, or players like Nurse, Britton, Pring and Cundy who don't seem that far away from progressing next season. I know we've had a poor season but, giving that our youth output was pretty much Ribeiro and James Wilson in the period between Lita and Bryan, that's at least some sort of achievement. When was the last time we used that many academy products in a season?

  4. Thought he was absolutely class today. Him and Massengo very impressive. Very different types of players, but they look so good together. Only one game of course but that is what Bakinson is capable of. We saw it at the start of the season. With Semenyo being very quiet today and then taken off, I thought Bakinson was the only likely player to produce that bit of magic we needed. A great strike. Love how positive he is. Looks forward. A great first time passer of the ball. Always wants the ball. Got to stick with a player of his quality.

  5. I told you it wouldn't be long So pissed off with the owner & Sheriden relegation will do us a favour when they both disappear and if we can bring your neighbors down with us that will make us both feel happy

  6. Give it a rest. This thread is for laughing at them. Plenty of others for you to be terminally miserable about City on.

  10. Well if the 2020-21 season is remembered for the integration of a raft of young talents, a much needed club restructure, the opening of the training ground and the appointment of Big Nige, then we'll probably reflect on the atrocious results as a minor inconvenience.

  11. I've just realised that Rovers fans will be hoping to be bottom of the league tonight! You just couldn’t make this stuff up! I raise a glass for the gift that just keeps on giving.

  14. There's a really odd thing in football where quite often a team that's been reduced to 10 men often play better...... So no one is in any doubt, this is not one of those times.

  15. Gas Lives Matter rally in Bristol tonight. Sags are gathering to protest against inevitable relegation, being humiliated by nasty Sh**heads and failure to locate Wally's missing billions. Authorities warning that as many as 60 people may turn up. With the usual 40,000 likely to be locked out. Wael also planning to launch fundraising appeal to save his dying club. Please give (abuse) generously.

  16. We rode our luck at times and conceded another sloppy goal from a set piece but following Lansbury's sending off we battled really well and we're rewarded with a deserved equaliser. Terrific strike from Bakinson who alongside Massengo did a sterling job in midfield. Talking of Massengo another here there and everywhere performance. He's starting to add consistency to his performances now, and if he could add a few goals he'll have me thinking about a young Gerry Gow. He certainly ain't no pushover now.

  17. Diedhou should not be in any squad from now on and then he can piss off at the end of the season.

  20. I think we are now pretty much safe. Surely now is the time to not pick anyone whose head is no longer at the club - not just those who want to leave but those who know or suspect they are not being kept on. I’d rather see Conway, Janneh or Britton (or Bell if fit) learn than Fam coast. Similarly I would rather learn what Vyner or Moore could do at right back than continue to see what Hunt is not doing.

  21. Indeed. He has ruined what was promising to be a dreadful game

  22. Right, eyes down for today. Wimbledon to beat Swindon at home Wigan to beat Crewe at home And if the s*gs lose that`ll be them in the bottom four, six points from safety with four to play. Please let it happen.

  23. First minute, first match, Paterson’s goal v Coventry. The season should have ended at that moment because it certainly didn’t get any better.

  24. Rob. I have ever so happily compiled the stats for you. Don’t forget, they’ve technically had 4 persons in charge this season, with Widdrington letting himself do it for a couple of games. Garbles. Pl 11 W3 D3 L5 F11 A19 PPG 1.09. Pisdale. Pl 15 W3 D3 L9 F13 A24 PPG 0.8. Widdles. Pl 2 W1 D0 L1 F3 A3 PPG 1.5. Barfton. Pl 14 W3 D2 L9 F13 A19 PPG 0.79. So, Barton currently has the worst points per game record. If they’d have stuck with Garner and his PPG they’d be 19th.

  28. Good talent but very very lazy, loses possession watches his teammates bust a gut for him. I fear he will be one of those players that people will wonder why he didn't go further, all the talent, but spends half the time watching the game when the rest of the team are defending. You have to be exceptional to be able to perform like that and stay in the team. Needs a real kick up the ass to realise this talent, there is only so long managers and teammates put up with players like this. All that said, good goal today and i like the way he is always looking to make forward movements and forward passes, and he can clearly control and pass that bag of wind.

  30. Thought he was dire first half. Credit to Pearson keeping him on, definitely grew into the game.

  31. He is the strangest player. Hardly puts a challenge in & at times looks like a complete passenger but his range of passing is just excellent & he is starting to chip in with goals as well. I am a big critic of his but thought it was right to keep him on today as everything good we did went through him. Really wish he would put more into tackling but on today’s evidence there is definitely something to build on.

  33. Bottom line is - for all the damage done by Ashton’s interview, Injuries and contract uncertainty - the players just are not responding to Pearson. I have no knowledge of why but ultimately the club need to decide either 1) the Manager is right and the players are wrong and, as you say, pretty much start from scratch, plus confirm Pearson now so players know they are not going to push him out through under performance. or 2) the players have potential but the manager is wrong and we need a new appointment for next season. I was very pro Pearson’s appointment and really like how he comes across in interviews but, whatever is going on behind the scene, the combination of manager and players is clearly not working at the moment. The club need to decide which horse to back.

  34. I did watch it, and that's harsh in my opinion. Of course Wednesday could and maybe should have won it. They were at home with an extra man. They were always going to have good opportunities. But I thought the boys stuck to the task well. You don't come back from a goal down with ten men away from home with a lack of fight and commitment. As good as a victory today.

  35. Didn't watch the game but seemed snatching the point was more arse than class. Is NP the messiah we think he is ? Jury's out for me TBH. Disappointed would be very much an understatement. Sad state of affairs when I find myself checking Rovers score more often than ours as I gleefully watch them heading into the abyss. Maybe there is a God after all.

  39. All the good ! Never rated him , first touch is atrocious , hold up play , vision also . Improved a bit after Christmas 2020 but nowhere near what I’d expect for £5m . Now reportedly wants £35k a week & has downed tools as of February 1st Get the **** out of the club you charlatan

  42. Surely Diedhiou has to go off and bring on someone who has pace and control to run his balls off and pressure their defence as much as poss..

  43. Interestingly, the Midlands Robin institute of cider and football studies has recently published the results of a study that have confirmed that on 10 out of 10 occasions when City have conceded a goal they've gone on to be really shit.

  46. The champagne moment was Joe Williams playing one game in the cup, having fatigue, and then never playing again. If everyone votes for it they can at least use the video of him putting an away shirt on as the City media team absolutely adore that video.
