The gold standard of comedy relegations is where your fanbase has already celebrated staying up and have hung up banners to that effect, then you play an opponent wearing your away kit on the last day and from a combination of results that your shit-for-brains fans haven't foreseen you suddenly aren't staying up any more. Cue horse punching, tears, incoherent ranting etc. It's almost worth giving them hope - only to see it smashed like that.16 points

Funny isn't it, Swindle don't even register in my consciousness, unless we are playing them (a la promotion season).I don't care whether they go down or not..............the gash, on the other hand....... !13 points

Anyone else want to see the G*s finish rock bottom of L2 on the last day of next season?12 points

That's sounds awful. In fact, even worse than living through 2 divorces and the Maggie Thatcher years.7 points

Sagchat at it`s finest: A comment appears from a poster on there says he`s signed up since they appointed Barton as he is interested in following his career and makes some points about hoping he can get them back up next season. The next post reads `**** off 100% ted ******* troll` The next post to that: `he`s an Everton fan mate` Second poster `he could still be a Ted troll` Their levels of paranoia (and stupidity) know no bounds.7 points

Let's just hope it's a double relegation for them and they're back to playing non league football again. The sooner Rovers disappear for good the better!6 points

Give it a rest. This thread is for laughing at them. Plenty of others for you to be terminally miserable about City on.5 points

Amazingly if you look on Twitter there are still Swansea fans moaning about the one we got against them at home in October when Conor Roberts lost his footing & tripped Semenyo. This coming from a side with a diver like Andre Ayew up front..4 points

This just sounds too far fetched. This could never happen.... ....oh wait ?4 points

I bet it was pictures of the Colony centre of excrement that finally sealed the deal. What self respecting manager could fail to be impressed by a tent in a field near Almondsbury?4 points

Just popped on here to see if there’s much going on... anything I should know about? eg; if there were to be a crushing away win, I’d probably like to be told about it. Or maybe even if there were a tiny budgeted club with a 100% championship record, you know, that sort of thing.3 points

I'd love FGR to go up. FGR being the best Rovers in the west would be amazing.3 points

Well done Lando Norris on his podium finish, and driver of the day. Good to see someone Bristol born excelling at their chosen sport.2 points

I also think it is unfair that the penalty kick was first introduced in 1891. Our club was formed in 1894 so there are quite a few clubs out there who have had three years extra practice.2 points

I'm no type condoning any sort of violence but at least those were worthwhile reasons to demonstrate!2 points

That's not fair on your local constabulary, police horses & dogs as you know they always take relegation badly?2 points

True but would rather visit them . Instead of Carlisle Harrogate Town and Bradford.2 points

I just want them down ASAP. The longer it goes on, there is more chance of them wriggling out of it (unlikely, admittedly).2 points

There could be some enjoyment from this season yet if we get a Gas and Swindon double relegation! ?2 points

The Saggers and Swindle look out of it, got to gain a point a game on others to be safe and looking at both their runs in I doubt that’s doable. What a shame...2 points

Aye, we effectively relegated the bastards in one of the most febrile AG atmospheres I’ve been privileged to be a part of in April ‘93. If memory serves Tinman scored and Ian Alexander got sent off. Tremendous night.2 points

Rob. I have ever so happily compiled the stats for you. Don’t forget, they’ve technically had 4 persons in charge this season, with Widdrington letting himself do it for a couple of games. Garbles. Pl 11 W3 D3 L5 F11 A19 PPG 1.09. Pisdale. Pl 15 W3 D3 L9 F13 A24 PPG 0.8. Widdles. Pl 2 W1 D0 L1 F3 A3 PPG 1.5. Barfton. Pl 14 W3 D2 L9 F13 A19 PPG 0.79. So, Barton currently has the worst points per game record. If they’d have stuck with Garner and his PPG they’d be 19th.2 points

Yeah there's no way they are going to manage it. I think Wimbledon are safe now and so they'll need to catch Wigan (and hope Northampton & Rochdale don't win!), which looks beyond any possibility. Wigan's final games: Shrewsbury, Burton, Hull and Swindon Gash's final games: MK Dons, Portsmouth, Crewe and Blackpool Wigan will not be playing anybody that needs points, Hull will be up by then, Swindon will be down. Whereas Portsmouth and Blackpool are both pushing for play off spots. The 15ers might get a shock win against one of them, but there's no way they'll beat both.1 point

.....and they were so excited when Norman Stanley Barton arrived ? Funny thing is, for a club whose fans hilariously claim that everyone admires them, I’ve seen quite a lot of people on Social Media saying they hope Rovers get relegated as it would serve them right for employing Barton. For decades they’ve bumbled along with most people unaware of their existence but it’s not just us, Barnet and Wycombe fans who think they’re massive ****ts these days. Well done Graham, well done Garner, well done ‘Tis’ and well done Wally. Excellent work ?1 point

Eh? They average 21,000 as well do they? JCH was sold because he wanted to move, he wasn't sold so we could survive, given that shortly after he was sold Wael cleared our £20m debts? Although outside the top 4 or 5 Premiership clubs most sell their players when they seek a move. Liverpool may even loose Salah this summer. As far as the OP, the reason the 82er's are now the bigger club is down to Lansdown's money, it's not as if they've grown bigger due to far better support. 21,000 IS 'far better support' than 6,000 isn't it? 350% by my maths. Enjoy league 2 loser!1 point
