I read OTIB every day. I read the latest on this thread every day. I read it at around 5:30pm yesterday evening then went out. Of course, I kept abreast of the scores and was well aware of the perfect storm swirling over the swamp. At around midnight, I looked at OTIB to see 15 unread pages on the newly renamed thread and it was past 1:30am before I reached the end. I'd like to thank each one of you utter bastards for keeping me awake so late and providing me with so many laughs!23 points

Nope infact , I’ll add to that. I hope they get smashed every game , giving them little to hope for next season . Never forget their actions in 82 Hope they go bust17 points

Why are people blaming Pearson? These wasters have thrown every manager under the bus.16 points

Thank you to everyone for the kind messages. To make it clear, I'm somewhat healthy and in my mid 20s, so I'm not overly concerned, just bed bound!13 points

What do you do then Tone? You get a new man in, who then wants to assess the squad himself. Way I see it. Fail to give Pearson the job. Book us a slot for relegation next season. We are craving stability and a major rebuild. We have built an average league one squad over the past 3 years.8 points

sag, 1. Sink, subside or bulge downwards under weight or pressure or through lack of strength. 2. Decline to a lower level, usually temporarily * And 3. (From the Oxford online 'learner' dictionary) to hang or bend down in the middle, especially because of weight or pressure, a sagging roof. 'The tent began to sag under the weight of the rain'**. 'Her shoulders sagged in defeat' ***. "The tent began to sag because of the weight of the rain/League One" So, sag: sink, subside, decline, down.**** * "usually" ** not made up. ***I bet they did. "Goodnight," love. ****and "tent"8 points

Please can we discuss politic BLM on the appropriate threads and just comment on the appalling football on this one?7 points

I'm surprised no one has linked our hamstring problems this year to a much needed campaign to remove racism from society.7 points

For all the slagging off of Lansbury . His one touch passing & vision is what we actually need , he’s got the quality . What some people don’t get is he hasn’t got the movement around him . My dad always used to say the same about Peter cormack , he was on a different wavelength7 points

Fam I can cut some slack. He's been a good servant, top scorer 3 seasons, 50 goals. We all know he's got a move lined up and he's just playing out his time here. Wells on the other hand has looked resentful and disinterested from the moment he arrived, and has done nothing for the money he's been paid.6 points

Taking the knee has almost become a ritual rather than a symbol and I think it’s largely lost its meaning now. It’s just 9 seconds that nobody watching really pays any attention to.6 points

Here are some highlights from the Bristol Post piece last July looking forward to the current season for The Gas. They are the gift that keeps on giving - every comment is a gem!: "Gasheads have been steadily more impressed with Rovers' summer business so far, with the new signings, a new training ground and Wael Al Qadi's commitment to the club all building hopes of a positive season ahead. See how Bristol Rovers fans reacted below:" Alfie Rendall: Announce promotion. Charlie: Very good squad being built. James: EIEIEIO up the football league we go. Daniel Sheppard: Going to be boring winning every game this season. ... Real intent this year. Jay Bear Jones: So three signing in three days all quality players, what has happened to rag bag Rovers? Caz: Promotion 2021, scream it at the top of your lungs baby. Kevin Ward: Blimey, Will next season be the one we start going places?6 points

It's been so sudden at the bottom of L1. Nearly everyone's burst to life. Rochdale have won 9 points in a week and Wigan and the Dons have both earned a quarter of our total points for the season in the last week and a half! Perfect storm for Rovers who've responded by imploding. Exciting nail biting stuff for the rest of us.6 points

It's not his squad. He can't change a thing other than juggle with U23's and cope with a a crippling injury hit squad. People need to put a lid on it and get a reality check. We badly need the season to end so we can start getting rid and rebuilding.5 points

Understand being undecided on NP. But to follow it up with wanting robins when we need a real leader is a terrible shout imo . Forget results , look at how we’re losing . We are ******* leaderless from Lansdown to the players . We massively need a Pearson type manager. I said today I though we’d lose 2-1 and get bullied but not just last 30 minutes . I ******* hate these players5 points

Just look at his reaction when the team scores a goal! I'm finding it impossible to warm to him and, in the list of proven goal-scorers we've had at this level, he's bottom of the pile by a long chalk.5 points

WTF has Fammy got something in his contract which means he has to start more-or-less every game? Really do not understand why we are bothering with him, he has not looked bothered since the Boro game.5 points

Funnily enough, Tisdale got sacked for saying he couldn’t pull a rabbit out of a hat in regards to making their strikers better. Barton has gone in with the big I am despite achieving nothing as a manager, and tbh nothing as a player as well. The ego on him is unreal. He’s gonna really struggle to get another job off the back of this.5 points

I think we should take legal action against Wycombe if we don’t win.5 points

1st Half Summary: So diamonds not forever, not even for 45 minutes....NP going with his trusty (???) 4231. Lacking in quality, not helped by pitch, but it took one fine strike from Tyreeq Bakinson - perhaps coupled with good man-management from NP? Massengo tigerish again, if only he'd not slipped at the vital moment inside 5 mins. Bakinson good again, without the goal to add to marked improvement. Nagy got better in his role as the half wore on, but please, please make a tackle. Sessegnon doing well on his first start as a RB for City (other starts RWB or LB). As a team we took 30+ minutes to get Lansbury screening in front of Ikpeazu, and then we start to see Kalas win ball. In fact it was TK's won header that led to the goal, albeit after Stewart miscued his clearance. Wells frustrating, Diedhiou just so on his heels, resembling Bambi on ice. A waste of a shirt. Rowe finding it a struggle on the ball, but doing his defensive stuff well enough. Lansbury showing some bits of quality, but perhaps too keen to play first time....take a touch son. Need to improve second half, or WW will get a spell at some point.4 points

Didn’t think I’d say it but I’m starting to question Pearson still picking him. You would say he’s in for his size & strength but he’s not putting himself about . I’ve constantly said & asked fans to understand the mess he’s inherited , but I really am struggling to defend him over fam.4 points

I've been a huge proponent of NP getting the job, even if results and performance haven't been good. He's starting to concern me though. He either supremely confident in his abilities and really is using the previous/upcoming games to have a play round ready for next season. Or he's no idea what he's doing.4 points
