  1. Strange how so many people are outraged at Giggs and yet were equally outraged at the CPS for charging Caroline Flack when there was overwhelming evidence against her for domestic assault. That’s not aimed at this forum by the way, just an observation from the media etc.

  2. It didn't. It came second. And I hate myself for knowing that,

  3. Remember when they had ‘never played in the bottom division’? Now they are going to be relegated into it for the 3rd time. Tinpot

  4. Saw their bus earlier, Peter Carol 'Bristol Rovers FC.' On the Portway, under the Bridge, I was heading towards the Glorious High Performance Stadium, it was going towards Shire. I tried to gesture to their Drive that Portsmuff was thataway and that he and they were heading in the wrong direction, but I think he probably thought I was indicating the he and they were a/are manual manipulator/s. And anyhow, I thought, no, they're going the right way, they're going down League Two. And they know the way there. They might not know where the goal is, but they know where L2 is.

  6. Thanks for the hospitality! At least we've finally been put out of our misery - this season seems to have gone on forever. I've suffered every game, and will watch the final 3 - it's what we do, isn't it?

  7. Yes. Looking forward to the draft next week. I absolutely love the draft. I’m a Bengal and so all the talk re our pick at No.5 is whether we take the generational Tackle Penei Sewell, or the talented receiver who Burrow threw to at college Ja’Marr Chase. Judging from Bengal forums and Twitter the fan base is really split. For me, I’ll be delighted with either of them, but I can’t see us turning down Sewell. The arguments against Sewell have been that we have a need at both positions and the OT draft class is much deeper than the WR class and we can still get a very good OT in round 2. Can’t wait.

  8. Oooh. Was it 2 years after we were 'born' and somehow immediately became the bigger club?

  9. Looks like the last League game with over 12k was 1985. They had 12,957 , which is impressive as they averaged 5,258. http://european-football-statistics.co.uk/attnclub/league/brir.htm

  10. I looked at records back to August 2012.....no trace of one over 12,000. The nearest they got was 11,750 in April 2017.....against Millwall

  11. A shame Brathwaite couldn't stick around until stumps, but otherwise not a bad day for Glos. A draw is still favourite as neither side seems to be able to get runs at any decent rate. I am sure Geoff Boycott would have loved that second wicket stand of Hampshire's.

  13. Be interesting to see what his defence is. He can hardly say he was being 'friendly' as I thought he'd never managed a friendly during his international playing days.

  15. The Bears need a major overhaul (a bit like a certain football club not too many miles away) I can only imagine what idiotic trade up they have lined up for the 10th best quarter back when we have two already! It will be worth staying up for though ? Date for for your diary - full schedule released on May 12th should get further info on the UK games at the same time.

  16. Abell didn't quite make it but yes the scorecard confirms he was not out. The umpire was looking more or less the right way.

  18. At the moment a draw seems likely because we have restricted them to less than 3 an over, let's hope they don't accelerate tomorrow. More "unforeseen" ramifications of Brexit by the way, Van Buuren suddenly becomes an overseas player after 5 years! https://www.gloscricket.co.uk/news/statement-on-graeme-van-buuren/

  21. They do put the Tit in Titanic..... I have to admit I don't find these funny in the slightest. To be honest I find them disrespectful and in very poor taste indeed. Don't get me wrong, Hitler was an evil son of a bitch, but even he doesn't deserve to be labelled a Gashead!!!!

  23. I agree that an argument could be put forward that we have somewhat under-achieved over the decades but to say we “have never been in the prem” is very disrespectful to the exploits of our heroes from 1906 to 1911 - they were champions of the championship and runners up in the premier league - and then the more modern day guys like Cheesley, Gow, Ritchie, Garland, Hunter, Royle, Whitehead, Merrick, Sweeney, Gillies, Collier, Rodgers, Mann, Fear, Mabbutt etc etc etc - they had their moments in the spotlight - and they took on and beat Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal, Spurs etc - I don’t care when it was - it was in the top division in England ... “never in the prem” ? Tut tut, perhaps you should wake up and small the coffee...

  25. So where would we be without his money? Don't see a queue waiting to give away 10 million every year to cover losses. Or perhaps we could get a nice fake sheik instead and have a lovely ground and stunning squad like the gas

  27. I read OTIB every day. I read the latest on this thread every day. I read it at around 5:30pm yesterday evening then went out. Of course, I kept abreast of the scores and was well aware of the perfect storm swirling over the swamp. At around midnight, I looked at OTIB to see 15 unread pages on the newly renamed thread and it was past 1:30am before I reached the end. I'd like to thank each one of you utter bastards for keeping me awake so late and providing me with so many laughs!

  34. Browns have done good work on the secondary. Arguably the best squad in the Afc north. Mac Jones is the interesting one. How good is he and will SF take him?

  36. I wouldn't but abuse takes many forms and is not easily spotted to begin with and it is so easy to get sucked into such a relationship, I've watched many videos on YouTube about narcissistic abuse: gaslighting, verbal and emotional, psychological abuse etc., so easily mistaken for love and affection. I know people who would tell others to leave abusive relationships but stay in theirs, the only thing keeping them together is the fear of being lonely or not finding someone else.
