  1. It’s this exact type of bullshit and bluster that is the reason people actively celebrate their downfalls rather than not giving a shit. They speak a special type of language up at Chernobyl and as others have said two or three wins on the spin next season and it will be back to “pissing leagues” on their way up to the Prem. Even by their previous attempts at mathematics “one million strong” is so stupid that I would take the bastards crayons off him for a fortnight.

  2. Here’s the league table when Super Joey took over. He’s taken them from 2 points above the relegation zone to 10 points below it. A miraculous 12 point swing in 16 games. Glorious. “But it wasn’t me guv” ?

  4. Well hopefully it could very well be a long time before they "experience such a downfall", for a start they've got to get back to L1! "We are one million strong". We know that they're prone to exaggeration but this is a whole new level of delusion.

  5. Yeah because everything they have done this season (and the last five years!) suggests they will easily build a squad capable of promotion from league 2 to the championship for less money in transfer fees than people pay for a kit-kat.

  7. Update. Yesterday was an all round good day. Rovers relegated and then Swindon relegated. Between their games, I received an email from the courts advising that my divorce petition has been accepted so the ball has started rolling now. Had a Thatchers Gold last night to celebrate. First cider I've had in a very long time. Tried to stay off the alcohol but felt it was worth it last night.

  10. What type of crayon chewing window licker posts such absolute non sense?!? It is their refusal to ever accept the truth which makes them the utter laughing stock they truly are and in doing so rubbing the noses of a Crawley or a Harrogate on any other of the teams in League Two in not showing any respect to these teams. A couple of wins and the sags are marching into the play offs, or they're bigger than Norwich or that they are a well supported team yet they can't even manage to sell out a 12,000 seater outdated rugby ground.

  11. Totally agree - I’ve posted on here many times that Bristol City fans just don’t do ‘toxic’ - we just don’t. I was in the away end at Maine Road when Man City wanted Peter Swales out of their club - good grief, the atmosphere that day was pure evil - Moss Side’s finest all turned out that day to vent their anger and frustration and it was frighteningly ‘toxic’ - light years away from the odd mumble and grumble towards the bench that you may witness at Ashton Gate. Newcastle fans do ‘toxic’ well too - eg when they wanted Pardew out - and there are countless further examples of fans of other clubs creating ‘toxic’ atmospheres around their clubs - but Bristol City fans don’t come close to that - our owners, board members, managers, players and staff get a relatively relaxed and comfortable time when they are involved with our club - they don’t get a hard time - they just get a fantastic City in which to live and work - unless you choose to live in Guernsey ... ??

  12. I was watching the live stream from just before the fall of the 7th wicket - then three went down for no runs and I thought it was all over. Credit due to both Shaw and Goodman, however, the latter playing in only his second match and, to be fair, rarely looking in any danger, although he took 40 balls I think it was before he got off the mark.

  13. Oh ye of little faith. Magnificent rearguard action, especially grom Shaw and Goodman.

  17. Not sure why we need to bookmark it - Just in case you only checked the last posting date and the (misleading) thread title, the thread you linked was actually started in summer 2020 so was almost entirely about the season just finishing - apart from the final post in the thread. Yet again, an example of some gasheads being over-confident ("announce promotion", "hellooooo", "the gas are staying up!"", "we got our stadium" etc), though admittedly many on that thread point out their poor record garner had at the tail end of the 2019-2020 season and their lack of recruitment in midfield and up front. Isn't this just ANOTHER example of the gas showing poor numeracy dating back to 2020? in this case in relation to years of football seasons. Or has one of the Mods on their North Korean mentality forum just renamed it for the coming season and i have been wooshed? In which case they really do never learn.

  22. Reading the Gerry Gow book today, listening to the further demise of the Gas, it brought tears to hear what a great man he was off the field but how he, as a true Red from 17/18 yrs old would have done the same as Tins here; taking sport to what it should be - competitive, fun, hard but caring, acknowledging winners & losers etc. The early chapters also remind me how similar the club was then to today; one great owner derided by some deluded fans (they used to write in to the B.Eve Post complaining about spending money on youth, the ground etc; whereas now they jump to keyboards) managers always disliked by a minority of 'fans' (even Alan Dicks was under pressure most seasons, castigated for taking risks in bringing in midfielders; - Gow/Massengo etc), supporters who always thought we should be in a higher place. If Tins met a ex Rovers player who was a decent guy off the field, I'm sure both would be respectful but right now, today, we can forget about the Luton game, forget about ESL, EPL, UEFA, Euros in 48 days time, FFP, Carling Cup, etc etc ..... and just rejoice in the fact the gas are having yet another horrible day and thinking of things to do next year other than joining their terrible forum to complain about wealthy, successful neighbours Top man Tins and to all on here who rejoice in their abject failure

  24. Wally has been in charge of the Sags for 5 years (Feb 2016). When he bought the circus they were in the 4th tier with an awful ground and after five years of hard work and investment they are now.... In the 4th tier with an awful ground. Looks like all of that hard work, second only to Spurs in terms of ground improvement, has really paid off.

  29. My Mock Draft Top 10 1. Jaguars: Tevor Lawrence- Easy 2. Jets: Zac Wilson- Seems to be their choice, personally I think he's the fourth best of the five with poor results against good college teams 3. 49ers: Mac Jones- Lowest risk QB other than Lawrence. He'll have a decent career, but won't be anything special. 4. Atlanta: Kyle Pitts- Best non-QB, as moving on from Ryan will be expensive, and risky. 5. Bengals: Penai Souel?- Massacred the name, but a beast of a man to protect Burrows. 6. Miami: Jamar Chase- Best avaliable weapon to aid Tua. 7. Lions: Devonte Smith- Again a name massacre.Tricky one as they need everything, but right now they have no receiving talent for Goff. 8. Panthers: Christian Darrishaw- Take a punt on Darnold, best protect him well. 9. Broncos: Justin Fields- More game ready than Lance. They seem keen to move on from Lock. 10. Patriots: Trey Lance- Patriots need a QB, and Trey has a high ceiling but low floor. Learn off Newton for a year, then start him.

  37. Yep, Sewell is without doubt the sensible pick. There’s varying arguments that say we’ve improved the OL with Reiff coming in at RT in free agency, and hopefully Jonah staying healthy at LT. But it’s stilI the sensible pick. As for Parsons, yes he looks like he’ll be a star, though I have read about ‘off the field issues’ with him. I’ve seen a lot of mocks with Detroit taking a receiver. So as you say, if we don’t take Chase you’ll have your pick between Chase, Smith & Waddle. Seems Lawrence and Wilson are nailed on as 1 and 2. Just intriguing what San Francisco have traded up to 3 for. Strong rumours of it being for Mac Jones, but lots of other teams aren’t that high on him and see Fields or Lance as the better QB. I can see Jones to SF and then a scramble for trades for Fields. Chicago certainly seems the most obvious although I’ve seen some mocks suggesting New England trading up!! The Falcons at 4 might get some great offers, as I don’t think they’re interested in taking Ryan’s replacement this year. Denver will be hoping one of these drops to them at 9. Should do. But it’ll be 5th choice most likely. Gonna be an interesting night.

  38. Just reading their forum reminded me how frustrating LJ is. Developing players, lovely bloke but counter that with streaky runs, endless formation changes, random team selections. He hasn't yet started calling out players and blaming everyone but himself but no doubt baffling them with his clever remarks and catchphrases. I wish him well, and hope he finds the magic formula but don't miss him one bit.
