  3. We can all agree 2020 has been a year like no other any of us have experienced before, and with that has brought many added pressures to people at a time of year where suicide rates increase. Please, if you feel alone or are struggling, try to talk to someone. Life might not always feel like living and you may feel like you are at rock bottom, but the world is a much better place with you in it. Personally this site really helps me, I have really low and negative days but keeping in touch with the Bristol City family is a massive thing. If anyone ever feels alone, please reach out. You can message me, or one of the many other supportive posters on here, or even talk to someone. I won't divulge personal information but I can't thank those people enough that have picked up when I've been struggling and taken the time to message me. We come from all backgrounds, beliefs, age groups and football teams etc, but I believe everyone on here would look out for a friend in need. A few of the Bristol City social media accounts shared the below today. Hopefully it'll also appear on the official website too.

  4. Grouty is going to be director of football, in the same way that he was responsible for swimming pool maintenance in Slade.

  6. Indeed. Partnership of 166 between Darren Stevens and Miguel Cummins: Darren Stevens 160 Miguel Cummins 1 Extras 5 Stevens' contribution of 96.38% in the partnership is the highest in a 100+ run stand in first-class cricket.

  9. Haha, idiots. You imagine they are probably well aware that we had a reduced capacity but only write these things to make themselves feel better. The following season Ashton Gate was, on average, the most ‘full’ stadium in the Football League. Yes our capacity was reduced to around 15k but we still filled the ground despite being in the bottom 3 for the first 6 months of the season and only guaranteed survival with 2 games to go. Thats called support and loyalty Sagheads, you should try it sometime.

  10. I see the unwashed are trying to convince themselves that the Gate, at 27,000 is too big for us as we only averaged 12,500 when we were promoted from League 1. What you're forgetting, cesspit dwellers is that 12,500 was the CAPACITY as we were rebuilding (look 'rebuilding' up eh) and we COULDN'T GET ANY MORE IN! Then again, 12,500 in gash speak is probably more than 27,000 anyway. Thick barstards!

  11. Anyone would think this was an open top bus tour to celebrate something. But clearly not, as there are no fans to be seen anywhere. Either they have no fans whatsoever, or the few fans they have don't care or are too embarrased to celebrate such a crap achievement. I can imagine Wael boasting "Put your money away lads, I'll get this.......... twenty two cheap-day returns to Horfield please. Oh yes, and the out-of-date crisps are also my treat !"

  12. I appreciate that standards at The Evil are at an all-time low, but I've just seen an alert that there's a very heavy police presence overseeing the eviction of a bunch of squatting travellers at Eastville. Reportage 35 years behind the times, by my reckoning.

  13. I like the story of when Stephen Hawking threw a party complete with pyramids of champagne for time travelers, and didn't release any invites until after the party. When no one turned up he concluded that it means time travel (to the past) would never be achieved. Or in his words "what a shame".

  15. You are quite right - I went on their forum a few years ago, I made it clear I was a City fan and I referenced my dear old Dad and Grandad who were both staunch Rovers fans - I had a decent debate with a couple of posters before the inevitable **** posted “He’s a shithead - block him” - and then I was kicked off their pathetic little forum forever. I had just engaged in polite conversation with their forum contributors- I didn’t use any inappropriate language and I didn’t do anything that could be said to be against the rules of their forum - I remember even praising their club and supporters at one point - but gasheads being gasheads and roverzzzz’ fans having zero tolerance for any alternative views, it was perhaps inevitable I’d be kicked off of a forum that wanted to talk about football in Bristol. The amount of sleep I lost over the gasheads’ unbelievable intolerance towards the views of others? Zero ... but they really should re-examine their claims about being everyone’s favourite second team, about how the whole world is envious of their huge fanbase and away support, about how everyone hates City but loves da gas, about how the football world recognises their ‘unique’ quarters - despite clubs like Everton wearing quarters so, so long before da gas, and how they claim to be bigger than clubs like Norwich, PNE, Fulham, Charlton, Brentford, Millwall, Wigan, Luton, Barnsley, Blackburn, QPR, etc etc and they also claimed their away support rivalled that of Liverpool, Wolves, Sunderland and West Ham ... it’s just incredible - but it keeps me warm at night ...????

  16. Not to mention those ******* gas pricks stole their ground & ripped down all memorabilia from the walls and chucked it all in a skip . They actively tried to kill the club like they did with us in 82. what goes around comes around you vile bastards
