  2. It's somewhat refreshing to see they continually make a mess of everything that they are involved with

  4. Bristol city boys are treated differently. No fees , mini buses, kit on time/ more kit. I just think they should be treated equally as the girls have earned the right to be there aswell. Seems strange to me when the owner is worth billions but still charges the academy's parents so that the womens team is funded.

  5. But it's cost effective (cheap) they keep local businesses going (Go Outdoors, B&Q), and they're far quicker to install (put up) than a new permanent stand/building is. Also when they have to move, they can pack it up and go. We mock Wally and the deluded/unwashed few, but they're ahead of the times really. If the pitch(es) are ever flooded, then once again- they just pack it all up and go up the road. It's genius really when you think about it. ?

  6. Listening to the radio today, apparently a lot of their income comes from renting out the pitch to the public and other teams. A new grass pitch up to standard will cost them hundreds of thousands and they'll lose the income from the artificial pitch. Is it worth it ?

  7. Some good news to report for once. Wife (aka BigBitch) saw Specialist yesterday and they managed to remove all of the cancer. No further treatment required. Happy days

  8. Intrigue got the better of me and I looked it up! When they got taken over a few years back they looked at the prospect of installing one, but never did, so hats off to the groundsman for making that look so good.

  16. So loyal they can't even fill their ground to attendance even when covid didn't happen. But they are always the victim "we didn't get a capacity crowd because the balloon fiesta is on" (yeah for good reason because Balloon fiesta and city playing at home would be a nightmare) "England are playing at the same time so obviously people will watch that" or like the little brother who will always try and one up you like the rovers fan who went on the Man City forum to say that no one liked us and that rovers were liked more by other teams.

  17. Just had a nice weekend in Torquay, which was all good until the last song on the last night and the entertainer asked if there were any requests. Yes cried a few window lickers from down the back, play "goodnight Irene". They then continued to sing the horrible dirge for a couple of minutes. I stopped one as he passed and reminded him that this famous song was stolen from Plymouth at around the last time they had any real success, in the fifties. He replied, "we're more loyal that City fans, even City fans say that". I corrected him saying that the word you wanted was dillusional, not loyal. He left the hotel this morning sporting his best gas T shirt. What the **** do they have to be so proud about that makes them tell the world who they are? It must be in their nature to thrive on adversity and, being a crap little club that shyte on everyone connected with them, unless they praise their famous quarters, must suit their persona. Absolute mess of a club with the highest proportion of deluded fans one could ever want to meet.

  18. There's gonna be a lot of multi colour tarps, used by leading clubs to cover seats in the Covid crisis, going spare. Expect a bit of Premiership flavour at the gas in future.

  21. They didn't plan any office space for support staff as they were going to pitch up a couple if tents for the support staff then move them back to tent city when they were playing matches.

  22. When we were kids living in Hartcliffe Leeds were drawn against Sutton in the cup (1970), we managed to convince friends it was Bishop Sutton up over the fields near the lakes ?

  23. Regarding their training patch, the story is in this post article: https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/bristol-rovers-modify-plans-quarters-5301986.amp If you make it to somewhere near the bottom of the text it's apparent that the proposed design didn't meet FA requirements to host multiple youth games simultaneously. They also forgot to build any office space in the original building design for support staff.

  24. How ironic.... Makes a change from stealing stadiums I suppose. The squatters living up to their name both as a club and as a fan base. The Gift ?

  25. Cheers Mr B. I'm honestly dreading hearing back as to what she plans to do. It is so sad because when we were together, she could stand in the middle of trafalgar Square and yell "the sky is made of ice cream and jelly" and I've have stood by her. Now I'm hugely skeptical of everything she says so once it is in writing and she's signed the documentation, then it'll be a huge relief. I know she'll come after it because she is a lying failure, but it'll be such a huge satisfying feeling if she doesn't. I don't mind being wrong on this. ?

  29. "Sunderland are no longer a big club" Wow, just how can someone or something make such a sweeping statement. Especially coming from a moron who's team finished bottom of the same league. How do they judge a "big club"? Is it by how many tents they have? Or how many grounds they've squatted in? Or have they won the Watney Cup. Just where do they get these cretinous window lickers from?

  30. Times rich list today claims Lansdown is worth £1.35 billion. He hasn't invested in the womens game and charges parents of the girls academy a fee to play and kit, even though they have trialed and earned there right to play. Proper disgrace for equality imo , He might not even know but he should do.

  32. Warren kept coming out and saying nothing is signed , fair enough. Why not expand on that by saying we’re awaiting a legal decision on fury v wilder and nothing will be agreed until that’s resolved. Warren, Arum & Fury don’t come out of this well

  33. I dont blame Wilder for this at all. He's clearly getting what hes contractually entitled too. I blame Team Fury for not getting this fight out the way. There last fight was 15 months ago!! They could have fought eachother 3 times in that time!

  34. I wanted to make some sort of post on here, as today I lost my father. Without him, I wouldn't be a robin. The excitement you got when he got you the newest top ready for the new season. Shielding me on those cold and rainy days at the gate. Celebrating and cheering on the way home on the radio at the results of the other teams. Simply chatting about and watching football on the telly. And all the other things in between. Thank you, and I'll love you always.
