You`re forgetting the fact that they didn`t move down from London two years ago to have this foisted on them.2 points

The football club and the stadium are separate companies but one is a subsidiary of the other. The Rugby, flyers and Bristol sport are peers in the hierarchy and are all "owned" by Pula. The Football club is registered with the FA so profits from the stadium as a subsidiary count towards FFP, Pula isn't registered so profits made by Pula (not that it makes sense to have profits in a holding company) don't count towards FFP. Basically for the same reason as if the rugby makes a profit that doesn't count towards our FFP but the rugby club pays rent to the stadium and that does count towards FFP.2 points

Not tried that one, but was persuaded by a mate to try Owee diner. ******* grease overload. Give it a miss unless you have a massive hangover and / or are totally mullered2 points

I reckon grabbing a few pints & watching the wrecking ball knocking down Braby's etc will be a darn sight better than the football. All positives for me.2 points

I haven't looked at the plans yet but imo a shame if the aspiration for a railway station has been dropped. Many of us in the wider city who have to rely on public transport to get to games would have found a station very useful. It would have created a more sustainable development as well.2 points

Zero affordable housing being provided as part of the sporting quarter plans, based on financial viability. That's a pretty poor look.2 points
-
Although working from home has proved doable, once full restrictions are lifted, office based workers will start returning to offices en masse although with many negotiating 1/2 days working from home.2 points
-
There are no plans for this, it has been mentioned numerous times by SL that the ground is plenty big enough for us & the proximity of houses on Ashton Rd makes this logistically impossible. SL doesn’t own any of them, either…2 points

They are superior to smart TV's as you can download non approved apps and modded apps. Just make sure you get a decent VPN if you want to be creative!2 points

Are the club going to launch baby wear this year? Why is our merchandise so poor in options compared to other clubs ?1 point

I realise a lot of jobs are also impossible to do from home, mine certainly was but I think the railway was planned mostly for the office type jobs that are (were) prevalent in central Bristol where the train stopped not sure it will be financially viable without the commuters that were expected to use it, maybe things will slowly revert back to how they were me I'm not so sure if the railway lines will ever be as busy going forward as they were, personally I think HS2 will turn out to be the biggest white elephant since the Brabazon airliner.1 point

Out of interest when the development starts, how much is it gonna affect the match day experience, parking, etc?1 point

Went to Root at Wapping Wharf at the weekend. Mainly vegatarian small plates (tapas style), with a couple of meet/fish dishes, but don't let that put you offf - superb food and nice location/views. Agree about Pasture and Little French - very good. And 7 Lucky Gods for the Korean Chicken alone!1 point

I believe this is the issue with an AG station. As much as a station there would be feasible if/when the line opens up for commuter trains, the applicants (SL) were advised the station would have to be shut on football/rugby games due to over capacity…..bonkers! SL can’t really do anything. All he can do is push the council/network rail to invest/support a larger station there which we may or may not get in 5/10/15/20 years1 point

Steak house that hasnt been mentioned is the ox on corn Street. Havent been post lock down easing. But a couple of times previous and its always been top draw. Casamia for very special occasion. Check out the Cinnamon in keynsham. Very good if you have and friends or relatives that are vegan/vegi/intolerance to some foods and like a good curry. Dont panic they also do meat.1 point

I think the one guy who has made an objection has a strong case about the parking issues. The anti car lobby ensure that car parking is under provided for new buildings, but it won’t stop flat owners wanting to own and park cars.1 point

With the IPTV service i use they have a built in VPN option. I've very rarely used a VPN only when there has been a block from the "big" broadband providers.1 point

My guess would be it's not gonna happen until we're playing/have played premier league football. There's not much point in expanding/redeveloping the Atyeo unless we're increasing the stadium capacity to around 30k. And there's not much point in increasing the stadium capacity to around 30k unless we're pretty consistent in being a top end Championship/bottom end Premier League club. Especially as it seems to be a real pain trying to buy the houses behind the Atyeo. Maybe in a few years time the effects of the sporting quarter and Pearson's swanky football will have increased attendances enough to justify it though ?1 point

Interesting it's a joint application made by Bristol Sport and Esteban Investments Ltd. The three directors of the latter are Jon Lansdown, Martin Griffiths and Gavin Marshall.1 point

Ebony Salmon came off the bench for her Racing Louisville debut last night and scored within a minute. Good luck to her, would have been easy to stay in this country but she's left her comfort zone and fair play. ETA - my apologies. In my excitement, I didn't check to see if anyone else has posted. Still, the goal is good enough to be posted twice IMO. ?1 point

I agree. But as far as I’m concerned we finished top after playing a season of rugby, so we won the league. We won’t have a trophy or the title of Champions, but we are. Everyone knows the format at the start and it’s very harsh when it pans out like today. But as you say if we couldn’t see out the game after being so far ahead then we got what we deserved. So anyway, I predictvwe will finish fourth next year and go on to be crowned as Champions and will be parading a trophy. It won’t feel right but neither does it feel right at the moment.1 point

I got no issue with the rules as everyone knows them from the beginning but they are daft in my opinion, but as said, i can take or leave rugby these days.1 point

I like rugby but not as big a fan as some of you lot I have to admit i really struggle to take it seriously when the team finishing top of the table don’t get crowned as champions1 point

The redevelopment must be good news for the Flyers eh @Davefevs - hopefully they'll do a "bundled" season ticket (as they did with Bristol for a couple of years) and give City or Bris ST Holders a nice discount on a Flyers ST. Can imagine weekends where we have Bristol play on a Friday night, City 3pm ko on a Saturday followed by a Flyers tip-off (is that the right phrase?) later in the evening.1 point

High rise is no different to anything. It can go wrong. Some of the new “apartments” in the Bedminster Green plans are shockingly small. Like REALLY small.1 point

Mayor Marvin Rees has famously stated his intention for Bristol to build high, and I wholeheartedly support him on that. Modern age Manchester looks fantastic, and we're about 20 years behind them as it stands. Hopefully between them Steve L and Marvin R might finally drag our dated city into the 21st century.1 point

Already been told the Dolman has a short (in context) lifetime left of needing to replaced within 20 years or so, expect you'd be right but wouldn't be surprised for the Atyeo to get a make over and fully connected up, away fans could be stuck in a top tier of a new Dolman and a lower tier all for City fans plus upper Lansdown.1 point
