  1. We had a discussion last week on the forum about colourblind friendly sport. This. This is really, really not it. In fact it's possibly the best way to make a TV show about as unwelcoming to the colourblind as you can. As if this Hundred muck couldn't get any worse.

  2. What it doesn't show on those pictures is that on the inside front on the underpants is a picture of Dean Windass

  3. It would be a great position from which to launch a case against Joey B for calling him and his team "negligent"

  8. We need fewer penalties rather than more, we didn’t see these in the Senna Prost era for example apart from the politically motivated one at Suzuka in 1989 which gifted Prost the title and that incident played a part in what happened at the same circuit 12 months later, neither did we see them in the Schumacher Hill era which had controversial collisions such as Adelaide 1994 and silverstone 1995 Remember Senna’s famous quote, if you no longer go for a gap you’re no longer a racing driver Penalties should be serious transgressions rather than for hard racing which we’ve seen in the last two races. And for the rest let the drivers sort it out for themselves rather than doing the f1 equivalent of surrounding the referee. It’s in danger of making the racing as fake as drs is The collision Sunday has been coming for a while, Lewis having previously looked at the bigger picture and backed out couldn’t keep doing that and maybe Max will also learn from what happened although for that to happen Red Bulls management need to take off their rose tinted glasses where their driver is concerned which is unlikely given they were exactly the same when Sebastian was their driver who incidentally has grown as a person since leaving Red Bull even if his performances haven’t always matched

  9. So have you handed your driving licence back as I doubt you have not committed at least 4 speeding offences in the last three years. Or do you mean - if I didn't get caught it doesn't count? The 'players of professional standing position' is as a direct result of playing an FA Cup match whereas Northampton were not required to play their league matches. To me natural justice requires an intelligent nuanced approach to punishment.

  10. None in particular, more like what's your point/agenda. I won't post them but I certainly have a few theories.

  12. The feature on the BBC live text page that lets you give a thumbs up or thumbs down to each post stopped working during the game earlier. I'm sure it was a genuine technical hitch and absolutely nothing to do with the fact that almost every post was getting heavily downvoted.

  13. And here's Benny Stokes, from the locker-room end, steaming towards the creaseline for the 3rd chuck of his first five, Joey Root swings his hitboard...and MISSES! It goes past him and backstop Buttler slam-dunks the ball into the gate, sending the sticks flying. Joey's out of his area, the referee flags and, gee-whillikers, Joey-boy is sent off, with only 7 in-betweens to his name. York-Shire Pigiron are up against the wall now with 3 down to 24 in-betweens. And now a word from our sponsors. Nuts (Honestly, the sponsors are nuts)

  17. Clem Morfuni says Swindon Town fans 'have club back' as takeover nears completion - BBC Sport And it is Garner as head coach. As @Banned User says, one place above the fewers next season would be priceless!

  18. I wouldn't laugh much (honestly ?) if Garner did well in Wiltshire!

  19. 3 pages of them hysterically laughing at Swindon potentially appointing Ben Garner, and they "actually feel sympathy" for Swindon. Are they forgetting that Garner has a better win record and points per game record than their current manager, Barton?

  20. I chose to stop driving a few years ago because of disability but before that I'm afraid I was one of those irritating drivers who stuck to the speed limit! ? And for your equivalence to apply Derby would have to have shopped themselves to the EFL. Though I suspect I am missing your point. You could certainly have nuance if discretion is written into the regulations. This would tend I think to lead to (more) inconsistency in decision making. If club A is given some discretionary leeway then clubs B-Z will inevitably demand the same, justified or not. Probably dragging out the process still further. Apropos of which, sort of, Man City are still under investigation by the PL having just had an attempt to halt the process rejected by the Court of Appeal. Like Derby they tried refusing to provide evidence and put off the day of judgement. Since the investigation began City have been champions twice! Still, you have sympathy for Derby and I don't so I doubt we will agree any time soon but the debate is always interesting, thanks.

  21. Puts me in mind of a Jackass sketch involving a loo in a diy store. The scene is set, and the unwashed throngs of North Bristol have descended on the Swamp in the hope of being locked out. Many have packed into the shop tent, to get close human contact. Our intrepid hero enters stage left, after eating only McDonalds for the last 3 days. They make their way to the underwear rack and pick out an XXL size to try on. Into the changing rooms they pop and wail gently as the coarse hessian sack like material scratches their skin. Once on and fitting perfectly, they curl out a champion one into their temporary garment, remove them and calmly exit the way they came.

  23. I'm wondering about the Blackpool game as already have tickets. HMG are saying large events may need a passport arrangement but only from September. This seems crazy, bonkers, whatever word you want to insert for illogical. I can see there may be a reason now when 66% are fully jabbed. By end Sept it will probably be 85-90%. So why have all the hassle of a check starting then when the population have pretty much all got the best protection they are ever gonna get from covid? Surely more logical to require it now and stop once the vaccine rollout finishes. The only reason for announcing it seems to be to bounce young people into getting a jab. What a cowardly way to do it, causing chaos to businesses. If they want everyone to be jabbed then politicians should have the balls to mandate it rather than create chaos for businesses.

  24. So if when Perez and Leclerc battled in Austria Leclerc got suspension damage from being pushed wide then Perez should be forced to retire? How do you account for smaller damage? Verstappen pushed Hamilton over the kerbs in the chicane at Imola and Hamilton had floor damage but not enough to retire him. But as it was lap 1 it hurts every single lap of the race, so does Verstappen get a grid drop there? After all he caused it. Or perhaps an easier solution would be that no driver goes into ever race with the attitude of "I will never back out, no matter what" like Verstappen currently does. On track he is a bully and the only reason they weren't both retired from Barcelona where he dived in recklessly is that Hamilton backed out despite having track position. On Sunday the bully got beaten up, and while I hope there's no injuries for him I have no sympathy whatsoever when his own driving style has meant a big crash with someone was inevitable. Just ask Vettel or Raikkonen, who he continually crashed into a few years ago. Or Perez who he took out last season. Or Ocon who was faster and unlapping himself as he had every right to do when Verstappen crashed into him.

  26. Correct. It is possible, but incredibly unlikely, that you'll catch Covid from inhaling one viron. It is possible, but incredibly unlikely, that you'll catch Covid from inhaling 10 virons. It is quite likely you'll catch Covid if a heavily infected, unvaccinated person sneezes near you and you end up ingesting 20,000 virons. It is possibly, but less likely, that you'll catch Covid if an infected but vaccinated person sneezes near you and you pick up 500 virons. The virus is all around us now, but in those of who are double-jabbed our immune system cells are beating up the vast majority of it we encounter. Even if enough get through that we can be considered "infected" our viral loads will be a lot lower, which is why we'd be much less likely to pass the infection on.
