Good day fellow Reds. Our final home game of the season has arrived and it maybe the last time we see a few of our players at Ashton Gate in a City shirt. A crowd of 20,000 + is anticipated, which is really tremendous support. With both teams having secured Championship survival today it’s hopefully about playing without any pressure and let’s hope we can finish the season well by making it five unbeaten today. My lad is one of the mascots today and has just been to meet the players. He asked Joe Williams if he had elastic bands for hamstrings, then said it was me that told him to say it! ???? Thank God I wasn’t actually there. He’s so out of the will…… if you read this Joe, so sorry!

No thoughts for the players or their young families and how they would feel about it. I don’t really mind a few kids ending up evading stewards but 30 40 50 year old blokes doing it is a bad look.

Shows how our fanbase has grown in recent years to be honest - to be able to still pull in 20k at home after the dire season we have had is v impressive. I don’t care what anyone says we are a well supported club at this level..

I’m hoping it puts the Pearson debate to bed for now. I’m far from convinced anyone else would have done much better with what he inherited. And we’ve done it with a lot of home grown talent, which is great. An important summer coming up.

After much criticism over the past few weeks when they were struggling for form following injury lay offs, I thought they were both outstanding today. Fully fit they will form a more than decent midfield pairing next season imo.

Why are pitch invasions frowned upon nowadays? Years ago it was the done thing last game of the season regardless of how things had gone. Games gone soft! Just to add to that, don’t get the point of the lap of appreciation either.

Same as Tammy's goals kept you up - most teams outside of the Premiership benefit from loan players at some point. Why on earth would somebody wish that on a youngster who's just starting his career - for me, that's crossed the line.

For me, how you end the season often determines how you start the next. Get relegated and there’s often a hangover, finish the season unbeaten and there’s a bit of momentum. We’ve all seen our lot go through the motions at the end of the season in recent years, none more so than the dicking at Millwall last May. So give credit where credit’s due for today. Our front three complement each other well. Tighten up at the back and strengthen in certain positions and we will be upwardly mobile IMO.

Couple of gas on 606 just now saying they should be in League One “at least”, made a comment along the lines of “we’re coming for Bristol City”. I think they need to calm down a bit.

This is where I bash the Commercial Department again ( I wish the Lansdown's would read this and take note ). The whole commercial side is not fit for purpose . Yeah we've had some nice kits, but stock can be sketchy, they don't get it in early so people can buy for the summer, the stock in the shop is poor, nothing about it says we want to make money. The kit should be ready for the end of the season, last home game would be ideal. Get the whole summer to sell shirts, people could get them for holiday and the start of the season. Before now they've arrived into the season, they miss out on selling so many shirts through poor organisation.

With all the talk of Massengo, Scott & Semenyo having potential offers in the summer, I wouldn’t be surprised if Weimann actually has a heck of a lot of interest too. After Mitro & Solanke, he’s the best striker in the championship this season. There will definitely be clubs who are interested.

These two elements were what stood out for me today. We actually passed the ball with a purpose, a bit of zip to it. Far to often the passing is so slow, where as today we passed it with the belief that the recipient could handle the ball. It stops the other team from being able to get back into shape etc & pulls them about. That coupled with the much better & more fluent movement was exactly what I want to be watching from City. Energy & purpose, was great to watch. Possibly didn’t need its own topic, but it’s just nice to see so many positives! COYR

Well the first one I saw on the pitch didn't look like the brightest bulb in the packet, sorry if that's you and you're on the forum, but you looked a proper ***** (and not young btw) I said what sort of prat does something like that to my son and we both agreed probably the same sort of tool who finds it more entertaining to throw a shoe around the place than look at what's going on on the pitch (and especially seeing how good it was today)

Thanks @Jerseybean I found your report very interesting, particularly the bit on how to survive a tiger attack. I’ve often been worried walking through the park to a game as the bushes could be hiding a lurking tiger ready to attack. Thanks to you, today, I’ll have no worries as if a tiger leaps out and growls I’ll know what to do to survive. Any advice on grizzly bears?

Fun fact: we are now the 5th highest scoring side in the Championship! Our strengths are obvious, but so are our weaknesses. But lovely to think we could retain our attacking intent while tightening up defensively next season. EDIT: 6th highest, Huddersfield just scored. EDIT AGAIN: joint 5th after Andi’s goal!

Calling it now, I think 17th spot is probably about par for this squad and a far from disastrous campaign for Pearson. Also nice to finish the season with a bit of form and optimism. Really hope we can build on this over the summer rather than see it dismantled.
