  1. He did al lot of commentary on City videos back in the 90's https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukJM82BAnO4
  2. I'm (just) about old enough to remember when the team from the div above from included in the playoffs. I might be wrong but they scrapped it because 1) they wanted to move the final to Wembley - and it's a bit odd lifting a trophy for staying up and 2) The relegated clubs fans usually went mental when they were relegated - Sheff Utd against us and famously Chelsea against Boro.
  3. Bang on. I'd love us to be under the radar till we hit 100 points and 100 goals.
  4. Reckon I was in the same pub! Met Police were complete ends that day. Kettling, provoking, covered numbers - all the old tricks.
  5. Having met and worked for both - if you've think Steve Lansdown has a tight grip on the pursestrings - Hargreaves would have a death grip.
  6. Clarks Pie Arena? The Beaner Memorial Thunderdome? The Barley Mow Rectangular Stadium?
  7. The season before being sold to Reading he was fantastic. Unplayable.
  8. Yep....didnt see this coming! Cant write off Houston yet though. Great side.
  9. Gotta be massive favs to win it all now. What a side. Nats have great starting pitching which gives them a sniff but gonna be tough for them.
  10. We overachieved since the all star break and it finally showed against an excellent Nats side. Lots of hope for next year tho.
  11. An Amazing interview - but it felt like he was breaking up talking about the AG8. His sentiments are 100% correct.
  12. Molina is the man. That is all.
  13. Despite having no logical reason to dislike the Yanks - I'm also in the ABY camp. Yeah Houston looking like a beast of a side - they'll need that pitching to get through the ALCS tho. Can't see the NL sides having a sniff this year!
  14. There's normally a few waifs and strays on here who have an interest. Anyone watching this year? Strongest sides look to be in the AL with, baring a big turnaround, things look set for a cracker showdown between the Evil Empire and Houston in the ALCS, with the winner being World Series favs.. NL looks trickier to predict. My mob - the Cardinals have a sniff against a good Braves side, but I'd still put us as underdogs. Washington have a chance against a quality Dodgers team - but its Washington - so they'll probably balls it up. Any thoughts?

There was a story on here a few years ago about some city fans running into them in Spain about the time they were in Europe. Gave it the full "it could have been you" treatment (which - at the time -although annoying - you could understand) Then they went all Billy Big Balls, did a Charlton and sacked the (hateful nause) that got them up. They have the whiff of League One about them. What a shame. I quite like Nick Hancock too.
  16. What you said. The Wire especially. It's a long old slog but by god it gets good.
  17. Inspiral Carpets/Stolen from Man Utd but I still think it works: This is how it feels to be Rovers, This is how it feels to be small, This is how it feels when your club means nothing at all, Nothing at all Nothing at all...
  18. Boycie Bradshaw does not look happy............
  19. Having seen the video (how much did the s*n sling at M'bargo to get that CCTV BTW) I'd be very worried if were Stokes. Cricketing wise, we are ****ed without him but he has a serious case to answer at the ECB.
  20. Not if you lived here you wouldn't. The last series was an utter disgrace, completely humiliating. I called 5-0 after watching them in the nets before day 2 in Adelaide. KP was taking throw downs and not a single English player was talking to him. I'm not saying we'd have won that series. Mitchell Johnson was bowling like a man posssesed - I had the dubious pleasure of watching all of his wickets from behind the arm - some of the best bowling I've ever seen live https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YzhzQiW4rtY but It was obvious some
