I'd be signing up any decent players Rovers produce (hopefully getting them to run down their contracts) or want to sign, and loaning them out to their close rivals.

You can rest assured that under my stewardship I'd just mess with the Gas, and the City team would go to rack and ruin.

Actually, hold that thought.  I could probably do more damage by taking them over directly.

you could buy them a whole new set of clubs in the bag and bankrupt them, or at least make it very very difficult for them to maintain league status. id love to see them in the vanarama again, that was just soooo funny, punching goalkeepers etc etc. lovely bunch deserve so much worse

Does seem a little OTT he is having a great season no doubt about it, I felt he was not given a fair crack at city tbh, but as others have said not like he has tore it up since he has left us, He would need to do it again next season for me to really think he's a top player seems to me similar to when Weimann had his goal scoring season. on another note don't know about other people but i always like to see ex city players doing well (not when they play us obviously ).

i was going to say the same thing but use bobby reid instead of weimann. blackburn have got lucky this season, found a way that works and stuck by it. could happen with anyone, well, sort of.

If this is actually true Brian Tinnion needs to look in the mirror and then resign immediately. You couldn't be more amateur if you tried and is certainly not included in the expected "behaviours" of the Technical Director of a Championship Football Club. The fact there also appears to be previous in terms of letting a select one or two on X know the amount we bid for Azaz could lead someone to believe the above is exactly what is happening.

im only guessing N/O , no truth in my comment whatsoever that i know of but it wouldnt surprise me now we are taking the amateur route

I don’t really like jumping on the band wagon but really couldn’t let this go by. I tried honestly 😊  I think you’ll find there’s plenty of people who also slag Ian Gay off so do they all have an agenda? I’m not sure Ian Gay has given any info that’s ever been tried and tested.
Telling everyone the new manager was going to be someone we’d be very excited about didn’t turn out so well 😂

you have to give him some credit for finding someone that will talk to him.

at least hes not making it all up now,  tinnion might be but ian gay is only repeating what bt wants him to put out there, exactly as your point above shows👍

No one in the NL will be paying anywhere near what FGR are paying in L2 this season. If we take the recently published payments to Agents as a rough guide, only Wrexham paid more, FGR paid £260,000. Highest in the NL was Oldham at £80,000.

Just depends on how much Dale Vince wants to continue chucking money at the problem and how difficult it will be to get existing players off the payroll. There's around 30 in the 1st team squad!

hopefully there will be clauses in contracts relating to wages regarding which league they are in.

    Cancel culture at its best

Somebody makes a post that you don't like. Rather than posting a counter opinion or just agreeing to disagree and ignore the post it is necessary to hound said poster out of the forum.

Surely this is against the purpose of a forum. A place where you exchange views. For me rather than trying to force a poster to leave the forum, people who cannot accept a view that is different from theirs should leave.

just waiting for the day i get one of those, why cant people still interact on here ,its not as though they dont want to be a city supporter, more that the club are doing everything they can to turn you against it.

and as for enjoying a pasty at plymouth, i tried forest  green, they were quite nice, exeter next on the list so i might aswell try one at plymouth too,  first off tho i got better things to do with my time and money, rather than give it to the lansdowns

One thing I’ve been consistent on - in support of Liam - is that he’s not Tinnions puppet. I don’t think you make the hard nosed moves he has without pure single mindedness, and his time with us has proven he feels his way is the right way. If that includes not playing academy he sure as hell won’t do it.

I think Tinnion probably thought a young coach would be malleable. I don’t think that’s the case here.

    do you mean like.........

bt.' liam,i think you should do it like this.'

liam. (rolling around laughing) 'brian,if i do it like that, we will lose 7-0'

bt. 'how do you know that?'

liam. 'i saw you do it once'

bt struts off sulking because he knows hes lost that one

Absolutely! I’ve said in the past I do not think there has ever been a player where their signing has caused so much discontent yet they went on to become a hero for this club.

Thank god that meeting of chance took place when both Wilbs and Cotts were both on holiday!

very fond memories and such a talented bloke for a big man. i remember one game where every time joe bryan tried to run down the wing,he got taken out and bullied, wilbs swapped positions with him for ten minutes and dished out a bit of own back, legally, it was awesome then they swapped back and joe didnt get bothered again

After not having attended a game since Swansea for my own sanity, performances and results have picked up. Some on here and social media believing Manning is in fact the second coming. So against my best judgement, I decided to have another look myself.

Wow, that was dire! It confirmed everything we already knew. This new and improved Manningball was a flash in the pan. That my friends is the football you have to look forward to next season, which will come as no surprise to many.

Good luck all for next season. I shall look forward to a return to the gate in a year or two.

take no notice of any of the childish retorts that have been posted,  you have every reason to feel the way you do and plenty of people feel the same way, fair play for even going back to have some more, i cant get as far as opening the car door to go and support the idiots running the club let alone watch the reported shite being served up

    Fair enough fella.

But in a season when everyone - everyone - at City hasn't been good enough, bar Dickie, the idea of "awards" is a bit of joke, quite frankly.

I can only assume you're about 12 or alternatively happy to accept utter mediocrity ad infinitum.

Some of us aren't. That is, about 12 or happy to accept utter mediocrity.

But no worries, knock yourself out.

But as far as I'm concerned the last 9 months might as well not have occurred.

If you think we've made a step forward from where we were 12 months ago, fair enough. If you think this warrants awards and celebration, fair enough.

whilst i fully appreciate your reasoning  and agree with all of this, we still have players that have tried to keep us moving even with the last however longs ethos being thrown out the window. cant have been easy trying to play when you already know what they are telling you to do wont work.

time to shine now as the penny has finally dropped and they are reverting back to how they were set up when results did go our way more often with a bit more spice in the action, something we havent seen much of for a few months

im quite enjoying seeing who people have selected as their stand outs, and one player romping the assessment.
