That probably was a factor 😄 - SL said to Jon "you need to appoint a manager like Eddie Howe" and Jon took it literally ☹️

or he did it to the best of his ability. as for tins taking over, im more worried about mickey bell having a crack in mannings role at some point, we know hes half in already just for being an ex player, i dont think tins would risk having to sack himself if he was shit again

Don’t we have Leicester at home that day?
    means I can’t do both

its only a plan, nothing definite, but city on sky, watch in nailsworth and on to the ground after.

I get that Robbo. TP was an absolute sag agent and the football under him was dross, but the regression under manning and seeing him completely devalue our players such as Conway and to see him completely hammer a squad full of young players publicly when it’s clear to all that he’s the problem makes me dislike him so much.

its not just him tho, its the maestro of all football knowledge guiding him. no way on this earth would any manager in this league stick to one plan if their job depended on it. they all try different things to get results. he must have some sort of dont worry about results clause in his contract.

Really poor today in what was a BIG game.
Really didn’t lay a glove on a poor Sutton side.
Most interesting thing about the day was Sutton’s little youth mob having 2 nicked inside the ground and then also trying it on outside afterwards.
    I did chuckle.
But that was a poor effort today. The team looked tired.

im hoping there is a chance to get up there for good friday. its not definite yet but the wheels are in motion

I'd say so yeah, chanting, shouting, singing- we need more of it, more reasons to do so as well.

our boy goes down to exeter a few times each season, just for the fun

The season is done . It doesn’t really matter results wise . Although I am conflicted. I’d never want to lose a game . However , as we’re safe now and this a horrible question tbh. If we went on another poor run & it ended up with manning & tinnion sacked would you be happy ?
struggling to answer my own question tbh

i dont think hiring a tinpot manager would be anywhere near enough to sack tins,if the club lost  a lot of money due to his actions, that would rock the boat more

I’ll disappointed if we get obliterated today. The excuse last week was it was never going to be pretty (it certainly wasn’t Liam, give you that) so now follow up with a performance and if we get done then fair enough.

im only thinking of how they changed it up and quickly put hudds to bed last week,we know manning cant react

Yes, and look at ashton now,, its sickening but no one can say the impact hes had at ipswich hasnt been huge,,, perhaps that could have been the case here, or our owners arent as clear at what they want as theirs?

exactly,  perhaps ipswich value success more than profit. we wont ever know and probs best if we wait until the next ma discussion. apologies for bringing him up in the first place👍

I don’t believe he has sufficient power to influence the lansdowns either way, and if he didnt carry out their plan, he would have been gone next. I also believe pearson knew he wouldnt be getting a new contract, and starting making noises in the press that may hasten his departure with his contract paid in full. Tinnions role in that i dont think was particularly significant, but the recruitment of manning he will have probably been told to carry out interviews etc, clearly the club knew who he was before pearson went.

i dont see you quoting any known sources that tinnion shafted pearson apart from heresay and conjecture from people on here who dont like how it was done. I dont think it was done correctly either, but if the major decisions over the last 20 odd years have been lansdowns, all apart from this one which is tinnions, i cant believe anyone seriously believes that.

i dont think anyone could influence the lansdowns either👍 frightening to think that they actually thought along the same lines as MA though isnt it and backed him 100%.  suck up to them and get big rewards

Things are so bad we are starting to sigh nostalgically at the thought of LJ.

its bad innit 🤣🤣🤣,  ive got more good than bad come out of it all tho so not 100% peed off it all went tits.

looking forward to going to a few away games with the step son next season, we can plan the do able ones with plenty of time and not worry about missing anything down bs3. makes money and family time much easier to manage

I don’t think he’ll risk playing him personally. We have the international break so it gives him extra recovery. It’s going to be so important he’s fit for out last few games where we have nothing to play for as we strive for mid table obscurity. 🤣 Really can’t understand why we’ve loaned him. The talk is we are unlikely to be able to sign him so not sure what the sense was.

    PR stunt maybe??

it was probably a relief for him when he left given his health situation too that i hope is much better now, id love to sit with him for a beer to hear his side of it, but anyone thinking it was all tinnions doing along, nothing to do with the lansdowns, is either totally naive, or has an agenda against tinnion specifically,,, and its clear that a lot on here do, including you.

you are right of course simon 👍

my take on it is lansdowns wanted him out, tins helped  the planning committee. hasnt got the clubs best interests at heart or he would have kept his nose out of it.

as for niges  health, he is loads better last i heard and still wants everyone to get behind the team and i think that includes liam and hoggy too, just ignore the tossers above them, and lastly,i will never get to sit down and have a beer with nige,(i dont go in pubs) and to be perfectly honest, knowing the truth about what really happened might be good, id now be more interested in his past as in the story about the wild dogs and the ostrich etc

Thanks for posting, Happy memories. I think was sat in mine with it broadly not far from dugouts. Cotts very intense, focused- but you could tell he was a leader.

    Can inspire the supoorters too.

Only 3 managers we've had in the SL era who can perhaps whip up the crowd, foster the correct atmosphere, siege mentality if needed.

GJ, Cotts and NP. That's probably about it really.

that feeling is what i like most about going to footy, getting excited enough to start shouting or singing even.
