  1. I don't doubt this. I should maybe have phrased it why doesn't the head coach know this.
  2. I'm appreciating their honesty after years of RobinsTV guests (mainly Tinnion) toeing the company line and reporting on a different game to the one we're seeing. Both Naismith and Wells constantly talking about a lack of bravery to make angles and options for a pass, leading to too many long balls.... the two of them know long balls to Conway on his own against two 6'4 defenders isn't going to work, so why don't the eleven on the pitch know this?
  3. Don't they film the games for analysis reasons? More often than not we see goal highlights. For u21 on Robins TV I'd be more than happy with a single camera set up, but you'd expect they already have a better set up than that for the analysis team. I guess the expense comes in needing some kind of "director" for what gets televised.
  4. Just looking at the EFL trophy scores and most of the prem U21 teams (Spurs, Man City and Man Utd tonight) are getting beaten by league one and two teams on the regular. So when (if) we play a team consisting of mainly u21s against championships teams what result should we expect? Tinnion and JL need to wake up.
  5. Whilst also currently available - Premier League (for now) Sheffield United 220m or Championship (for now) Sheffield Wednesday 170m (and likely several others of a similar stature) - without the money sponges of rugby, basketball and everything else. I don't know the ins and outs of those clubs (I suspect both need infrastructure investment) but whilst the BS stuff was meant to set us apart it now looks very much like it has inflated the asking price and made selling/outside investment much more difficult.
  6. And Naismith. It's obviously a relief to see them back, but, before the turmoil of the last couple of days, were we expecting them back for this weekend's game, or has the removal of Rennie/change in medial/physio staff resulted in a different opinion being made on their condition?
  7. Any idea what SL is asking for the club/whole package? I've read Everton available for 500 million, 220 million for Sheffield United, and 170 million for Wednesday. There seems to be a lot of clubs for sale and none look like good business propositions. The Bristol Sport thing doesn't really add any value.... if anything it adds costs that need to be covered, (maybe some possibilities for short term gains with the residential/hotel packages in the sporting quarter). I presume the addition to the asking price for the BS add-on stuff puts us in a similar price bracket to the Sheffield teams who both have a higher stature. Lots of clubs for sale, some are more attractive, a sale isn't imminent, is it?
  8. By "right type" you mean "yes man" ? He was part of that Swindon set up as assistant to Lee Power the Chairman-Manager... Mark Cooper and Martin Ling didn't hang around Power for long... Williams was there throughout and eventually became full time manager. Looks perfect for a chairman/DoF that want to dictate the managers team selection. Neither Williams or Manning are particularly inspiring to me... how they can be considered an improvement on Pearson I find mind boggling
  9. Poor by Roberts and King in the left back area for that through ball. O'Leary should probably have done better.
  10. Nailed on penalty. Did the ref have one eye on the clock for the pause to the game in the 31st minute.... A city penalty during that wouldn't have been a good look.
  11. Cheers, works nicely. How come the Stoke feed is perfect and not 5 minutes behind?!

  13. Very good effort by the players and very good effort by the club and fans. All to be proud of. Pep and Foden acknowledging how we gave them a good game. Ally McCoist, Ian Wright, Roy Keane all complimentary on both the performance and the club as a whole, on national TV. We were always very unlikely to get a result tonight but the whole effort has showcased us in a very good way.
  14. Hull weren't even trying to win today.... horrible team full of late tackles and timewasting. Our performance wasn't bad but no help from the ref and of course we'd let in a last minute deflected goal.... that's how we roll!

  17. Because its on Sky and some international TV it wont be on RobinsTV tonight
  18. Is it just me, or have our free kicks become more dangerous when James isn't taking them?
  19. The two changes at half time were, I presume, tactical to try to get us back in the match... as has been said here many times the Watford game should be our reserves/kids and the next game is 8 days away so plenty of rest. I'd keep a team out that will have the best chance of keeping the score as low as possible.
  20. He made two changes at half time.... only one left.... how many would you like?
  21. Wright is marking Adomah. Magnússon is on the otherside up against Snodgrass. All in all we've been poor after the first five minutes. Lots of tired legs. I don't see Villa easing off on us and I don't see much by way of options to improve us from the bench.
