Last season's injury really had an impact on him: before it, he played a lot of games for us, for his national team too, and seemed one of the stronger/fitter athletes of our team. Shame he ended up having so many problems...

So you were happy with that as a display for 90 mins of football were you or you expected us to lose did you because of Tuesday
Personally didn't expect to lose but was sure the team would have performed worse than Tuesday/previous matches, mainly because of the enormous work done in the cup and even more after seeing an almost unchanged starting XI. Add to it two injuries and things became even more complicated, against a fresh, physical side in need of points.
Play them in other circumstances and I think we would have got at least a point.

Williams and Kalas

Can we really use Tuesday as an excuse?
Most energy-draining match of the season. Definetely we can, not difficult to understand.
Not saying it was the only factor obviously, but negating it is nonsense and harsh for the team

Disappointing result, surely influenced by Tuesday's game. Like others said, the worst part is the double injury: I guess one could have been avoided (Williams out of the starting XI), the second one less so (King for Kalas would have been risky).
It won't be easy to play the next gamed without key players but let's hope we won't lose many points positions in the table...

Unlucky afternoon it seems...

Kalas injured too. Many things going wrong in this game...

I think Cardiff played better and threatened more the opposition's area, whereas we had our moments with less but clearer chances. Our play seems generally slower, partly for Cardiff defensive work but probably for fatigue too: worried about Williams injury (one of those I'd have rested).
We need Mehmeti and Scott to up their game and to freshen the team after a while to keep energies high.

Surprised to see only one change after the hard cup match, but...COYR!
-
Motivational speech by Nigel more than a realistic aim, but nothing wrong in it. Let's get points in the next games and secure safety, then we'll see what happens...
-
If our strike force were not halfed by circumstances (players injured or cup-tied), maybe we could have had more/better chances to score. Apart from this lack of options...I guess the team did a great job and asking for more would have been unfair/unrealistic.
Atmosphere was good too, and reading all the compliments by opponents, pundits/journalists and neutral fans is really nice and the team deserves it.

Shame for the third goal, but it doesn't change the level of our performance: we were in the match for 70+ minutes against one of the strongest teams of the world.
SO proud of you, lads!

Unlucky goal.
Cruel.

Weimann for Tanner?!?
Nigel is crazy.

Great performance so far. Good attacking play (despite not much end product(, energetic and solid both in midfield and defence. Not much to blame for their goal, shame about the penalty appeal (not stonewall, but could have been given).

Ready to watch the big match on DAZN Italy.
Come On You Robins!

First impression (on photo) was bad, but seeing it on the pitch I found it better.

What happened in the first minutes?
I'm asking for a friend who went to Cardiff to watch Wales v England rugby.
I was referring to Coventry-Bristol City, played in November 2021 (the day of Martin's penalty).
Anyway, I never thought I'd see Nige dancing: strange things are happening to our team...

Playoffs, here we come!

Quality, clever play and a lot of energy. He confirm to be one of our best players.
-
Great to have him back. He was solid again today, despite not having played for a long time.

or 3 points. One at Sunderland, two today. Our precious penalty was in a 3-2 defeat at Coventry so no points gained from that one.
Oups, 3 points, you're right.
In that match it didn't help us, but there was a more clear one (with possible red card for the goalkeeper) in the first minutes.
Generally speaking, many of those penalties not given happened when the result was still open or - like today - as a possible opening goal: obviously you have to score them and they don't guarantee a good result, but surely would have brought us more points (and less stress/ relegation fears).
Third penalty against Man City?!?

Good strike by Nahki, fully deserved win: well done, lads!
4 points gained thanks to penalties in 2 matches: just to remember to everyone how much refereeings can influence results/tables and why anomalies like the one we endured shouldn't be accepted passively.
Anyway, this new trend is way more likeable.

Dominant first half, but often lacking accuracy on final pass, especially cross.
New kit looks better on the pitch.
Defence v Huddersfield

A big problem.
Dasilva LB and Pring LCB seems the more logical one, considering the benefits of a back 4, but also that Wilson is not ready/tested yet (so Tanner has to play RB) and King could be preferred as a midfield sub.
