  1. That's next weeks team talk sorted then, @Silvio Dante!
  2. With a second verse of Thank you Micky Bell, Thank you Micky Bell, Thanks for Sammy, Thanks for Sammy, Thank you Micky Bell
  3. If anyone's votes in the next election are swayed by the approach taken by any party with this situation then I really just give up on humanity! They do say it's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.......
  4. The running of the football club. I realise it's not convenient for you, but wages do form a big part of that and so have to be included!
  5. Dropping our best player of the last 12 months (who's still with us anyway) or shifting him out of position is absolute madness. Either Naismith or Cam will drop into the centre for Friday. If it's Naismith then I'd better start topping up my blood pressure meds now! Am I getting confuddled in my old age or has Tins suggested that CB could well be Prings ultimate position? If so, then him, with Roberts slotting in at LB would make more sense from a defensive point of view.
  6. I'm not sure of the relevance of this comment (I appreciate you weren't the only one to make it) - the men can afford to donate theirs to charity so I'm not sure what they do with their earnings has to do with what the women are paid. So you decided you wouldn't let someone else influence what you watched....by allowing someone else to influence what you didn't watch?!? Riggggghhhhhht....! I do have a wry smile when people bandy around the term "politically correct" like it's a bad thing. There's a difference between political correctness and political correctness gone mad. The latter is when something is pushed with no regard to mitigating factors. The former is just the right thing to do. This discussion, if carried out on the basis of "women shouldn't be paid less than men, so there", as it seems to be in some quarters, is indeed political correctness gone mad. The simple mitigating fact here is economics. To pay women in the WSL the equivalent of men in the EPL would cripple the sport and bring it to a grinding halt just as it's gaining momentum. As someone else has said, in 30 years time you would expect the gap to narrow somewhat. But it needs to be allowed to grow organically.
  7. It's probably more to do with the fact that fans in this country are bloody idiots who can't be trusted to not just lob them in any old direction. As for the display today, it looked ok on Robins TV, but unfortunately didn't see the gentleman's image raised. I presume members of his family are on here hence the cloak and dagger approach otherwise that approach wouldn't make sense. In which case, to those friends/family my heart goes out to you. Watching someone pass from this vile disease is cruelty of the highest order and you have my heartfelt sympathy.
  8. Is it ok that I don't understand what the display means......?
  9. From what I can see I think the first kit to have a badge on it was 1900-1903, which could narrow it down further. I couldn't see a squad picture in any timescale that matched it though.... Lots of big bushy Magnum PI moustaches there, so this timescale would also fit with turn of the century.
  10. Could always ask Alan Curbishley...he'd probably know..... In all seriousness I do love these old photos and to be fair old photos in general. Fascinating to see the changing look of everyday things, whether it be clothes, football supporters, teams, grounds, transport etc.
  11. ? Not that I can see. They've not been in the bottom tier since the 60's
  12. Quite some feat considering Nige has only had 2 full seasons and Holden was only in charge for half a season.... You can blame Transfermarkt all you like but these are things that you should just know if you want to use them as points to pillory the club.
  13. I had in mind the Luke Freeman sending off against Brentford in our first game back in the Championship.... With the exception that Luke didn't actually connect!
  14. They were very well crafted and taken goals last night. We moved the ball around with ease after we went 2-1 up. Arguably our opener was against the run of play, and we could have found ourselves trailing had it not been for some woeful finishing from them. Each goal you can pick out a really good moment in each of the moves. Movement off the ball for the opener, the dribble and cross for the second. The turn for the third. The steal and the touch around the keeper for the fourth and the chip from Wells into Naismith for the fifth. Sadly their goal was a mess from our point of view. Tanner completely losing his man and then Max getting caught flat footed with a tame header. Nice to see we are capable of still playing some nice stuff even without Scott in the engine room.

I think this is doing a disservice to the fan base. It took a few months to get people onside but I think that many, many more recognise the massive improvement in him now. 1 season. If he'd been sold last summer there wouldn't have been many tears shed. I'm so pleased to see him continue last season's form into this. Long may it continue. One mistake today, but the recovery tackle after was superb and showed just how much confidence he's playing with now. 18 months ago his head would've dropped and he wouldn't have made the tackle.
  16. Hey, leave him alone....he only had it pointed out to him a dozen or so times after using the "fact" initially before using it again. Facts have never been RR's strong point, especially when the topic of conversation happens to have the surname Johnson.
  17. They are a growing fanbase.... They're getting their sisters pregnant all the time up that way......
  18. The response from Wally just goes to prove he doesn't actually give two shits!

  20. Both things are not possible. One or the other.
  21. On the backs of the shirts....
  22. The comments on the club statement on Twitter are absolutely golden. I genuinely don't think there is another club in the land better than Rovers....in terms of playing the victims. I mean, wow! They really drank the kool-aid when Wally Al-Qaeda bought the club, didn't they?
