  1. Ignoring the maths, but "One Three Amigos, there's only one Three Amigos..."
  2. No. Absolutely not. Not because sacking Nige wasn't the worst managerial decision in decades, because it was. Arguably it's been superceded by the appointment of Manning. The trouble with singing this is that they will take it as sour grapes and only being sung because we liked Nige. They need to realise that it's because of how things are going NOW, under the new guy. If Nige was replaced by someone who took us to that next level then there absolutely wouldn't still be this level of anger, but he wasn't. And we can all see that we're sleepwalking to relegation in a years time. All, that is, except those with the power to do something about it. Leicester will be toxic, of that I'm sure. The "hierarchy" will be hoping that the international break gives them some breathing room so we can all remember that we beat Southampton.
  3. I bet you would....then again, he'd probably bet you would as well....
  4. I hope they take this on as well and that I'm Mannings final call of the day. What better way to beat insomnia and get a good night's sleep?
  5. You mean to tell me you don't feel rewarded?!?
  6. One of my all time favourite players. That season with Murray's goals in particular he was ridiculous. But....he's worn away all of his credibility since taking on this role. Guilty of treating the fans with no respect whatsoever and thinking he's omnipotent enough to pull the wool over our eyes with blatant falsehoods. He showed on Monday in particular how unaligned the board are with the feelings of the fans. He thinks we're so simple that we look only at results and decide if we're happy based on that. Absolute epitome of a fallen idol.
  7. I'm confused - they have had far better resources available to them.... I explicitly recall someone commiserating us on being smaller and worse than they'll ever be because they were the sixth richest club in the country...."Unlucky da shit" I believe was the phrase he used.....
  8. Just on this, what is the significance of this comment? Sykes never played under Manning at Oxford. Phants, we're used to the underwhelming, but I honestly do not remember being as bored as I am now when I'm at a match. We've been poor, we've been clueless, we've been hapless, but never boring. The last few months seem to have fostered an awful amount of apathy among the fan base with regards to the matches, the likes I've never seen before. But he persists with his methods even though it results in these kind of outcomes. Didn't they say that was the first sign of madness? (I always thought it was "Hey you, don't watch that watch this.....!") Nick, a wise man once advised to never argue with an idiot. They'll just bring you down to their level and beat you with experience...
  9. The recent increase in the volume of the Hum has been linked to 16,000 people snoring on a weekend in BS3!
  10. Did you even see the Leeds match?!? Yes, they were a class above, but we rolled over and had our tummies tickled live on TV.
  11. I think possibly the bit where he's repeated the same phrase multiple times. I had to read it twice...to be sure, to be sure....
  12. That's foinal turd, thank you very much!
  13. Momentum is a powerful force and ours is going the wrong way. I am absolutely not sitting comfortably waiting for the season to end.
  14. I'm waiting with baited breath for a point to be made........
  15. He doesn't throw the team under the bus at all. I know this because he tells us he's not doing this......usually just before throwing the team under the bus...but he's assured us he's not doing that...... Whether the change was needed or not it was absolutely not the case that the time was right for him to go. It was either too early or too late, but to sack him when they did was wrong on all levels.
  16. Don't be silly. Books are always judged by their cover apparently.....!
  17. 12 is a valid subsection of games to look at because of the three preceding matches. We were on a decent run of form and had the opportunity to capitalise on that and push on. instead he sent us up to Birmingham to defend and since that time instead of capitalising we've capitulated.
  18. I've said it before, coaches win the matches, players lose them in the world of Liam Manning. We've picked up 9 points from our last 12 league matches, scoring only 11 goals. He's averaging a point a game since taking over, having lost over half of the matches he's been in charge for. It's been declining for months and is only going one way. His win percentage is 28%. To provide some context here, Holden's was 44%!
  19. I missed that....And we had substitution windows open to us as well! ffs
  20. But it's an atypical performance. Our best performances tend to be in this type of game where we're almost on a hiding to nothing. The typical performance and set up is not what was seen tonight for much of the game from what I hear (was out for a birthday meal, so only saw the last 20). I'm basing my views on his tenure rather than one match I didn't really see. From what I did see, however, he once again showed a massive naivety in terms of game management. Cam didn't look fit and was being torn apart by Burns. We had two throw-ins about 10 yards inside their half in injury time when we should be full throttle trying to salvage something and within seconds it's down by our touchline.
  21. Look, I'm sorry Liam, but this tactic won't work(much like many of your other ones!). Yes, a large part of the blame lies further up the chain, but this doesn't change the fact the team are repeatedly given tactics that simply don't work and don't entertain. Being angry with the board doesn't absolve Captain Mainwaring from blame as well.
  22. Yes...no signs at all. I honestly don't think "regardless of how we played tactically and similarities to NPs" holds any weight in the argument as they are atypical set ups to how Manning wants to play. They are the outliers and in spite of those being our best performances of the season he doesn't keep the system that produced them. So no, I don't see those as progress to be honest. Progress would be sending out the team to play that way every week as it shows that he knows how to play to the strengths of the players involved. As it is, he doesn't seem to want that.
  23. Genuinely not seeing this. Performances have regressed, players have regressed, results have regressed and league position has regressed. I see zero signs of any sort of progress.
  24. If we beat Ipswich it'll be all down to the coaching staff. If we lose it'll be the players. Ergo - nothing will change.
