  1. He's got a 3.5 year contract on the highest salary he's ever had - and on this showing is ever likely to have....there is absolutely no chance of him walking.
  2. I kept thinking my stream was buffering too. But then I realised that I was sat inside the ground and that's just the speed at which Manning likes the ball to be moved around.
  3. Logic would dictate that if the full price ST number were to fall, then the kids number would also fall. I don't agree with the concept that these figures are skewed by the cheaper tickets as that's securing full priced STH's of the future, so is vitally important.
  4. His ethos does seem to be that the coaching staff win games but the players lose them. What I thought was noticeable today was the number of players sniping at each other. It's abundantly clear that the dressing room harmony that it seemed we had is well and truly gone.
  5. I'm glad you're convinced of that. As I see it right now, we're a team that struggles to create and are easy to counter. It's very easy to feel safe when in actual fact the floor is creaking below you. Many more performances like the majority of matches since he took over and we find ourselves in a relegation battle with momentum heading the wrong way. In fairness, and I don't agree with much of what WSM says, he's got a point. Possibly unfortunate editing by the media team but some of the expressions are like.....
  6. Jan Sorenson also passed away today I see. It's like a domino from that era...
  7. They do sell them like that in our club shop.... But as it's traditional with our skip we never have any stock in(g)....
  8. Now where have I heard this before......?
  9. This is wholly untrue. I asked a gashead mate whether there was any truth to the incest rumours and he categorically denied it. He should know too as apparently his uncle dad is pretty tuned in.
  10. Wouldn't that kinda include players and management? We discuss them, so why not people putting themselves forward to offer a very public opinion?
  11. I had to do this for the Southampton match as I was away with work. It was a quick call to supporters services and I had the tickets emailed to me to forward on within 5 mins. It was really very easy to do!
  12. I know they're desperate to fund the BCFC Retirement Home, but trying to sign 40 year old Jamal Campbell-Ryce is surely going a step too far!
  13. Weird assed hashtag as well. #EveryMoment
  14. They are, but they're only removing the bottom half of the pillars. They're not stupid enough to remove the whole thing, that'd be ludicrous....
  15. I don't think Cornick was booked for the pen. On Sky they seemed to think it was Williams for his protests that was booked. As for appealing bookings, this can only be done in the case of mistaken identity....I mean the ref did mistakenly identify Zak as someone who made any sort of contact with a player, but no, it can't be appealed on the basis of the refs incompetence. I think I'm right in thinking that the FA could decide to rescind the card without appeal if they decide they want to punish him for diving, but it's unlikely that would happen for an incident outside of the box. Shite position to hold, but there you go.
  16. But...but...but.... you can't keep him and Williams. The two just cannot be on the pitch at the same time.... according to some! And those "some" should just re-watch last night back and if they still believe it, then they should give up watching football altogether..
  17. That's just being facetious... There was a reason the phrase was in inverted commas, as well you know!
  18. As noted on another thread. These are our two best performances of the season and the two that least resemble "Manning-ball". The only thing we can hope is that he now recognises what works and fine-tunes that.
  19. I feel like I've won the lottery....! Such a grim part of the country whose most popular tourist attraction is the sign saying "You are now leaving Wigan"! Still, it pays the bills I guess!
  20. Watching all lonely from a Wigan hotel room I was delighted with what I saw tonight. There is an air of caution to be mindful of though, and that is that we played the same way in the first half on Saturday and the same way as we did against Watford. That, last night, was absolutely not Manning-ball and showed that our strengths lie in other tactics. My worry is that against a struggling side like QPR we revert back to MB and try and bore the opposition into submission. I just hope he finally realises that taking the game to the opposition and quick counter attacks is when we look at our best. Keep up with that style towards the end of the season and a little glimmer of hope starts to spark. In terms of players, is anyone else getting bored of saying "Joe Williams was outstanding today"? The man is possessed and needs to be signed up immediately.
  21. I have a recollection of it being sung, but my memory's so bad I don't have any timeframe on it....wouldn't have been Liam Rosenior, would it? Would seem to fit. Flip it round and we could sing it to Mickey Maynards son if he were to ever make it as a pro!
  22. He's been to loads of matches over the last few years....usually sits in the Heineken Lounge corner of the Lansdown.
  23. Just came to mind... Dublin's fair city... No link to Bristol whatsoever, simple, harmless but always used to catch on... In Dublin's fair city Where the girls are so pretty I first laid my eyes on sweet Molly Malone As she wheeled her wheelbarrow Down streets short and narrow singing , , , City!
  24. Good luck getting Taylor Gardner-Hickman to scan there! You apparently!
  25. We used to believe We used to belieeeeeve We're Bristol City We used to believe! (c)
