  1. I’ve been pretty much on the fence with LJ, never been anti Johnson mainly because he’s done a half decent job but putting Afobe on the left, I mean you’ve been injured pretty much all season, you work your balls off to get fit, get your first start and get chucked out there when you’re an out and out striker, I’d be savage. Taken us as far as he can, which to be fair, apart from his old mans play-off final has been some of our highest positions over the last 40 years. That said, time for someone else to have a bash, he’s reached his ceiling I feel.
  2. Completely agree, Weds usually have a bit of a bar crawl during the afternoon early evening before heading to the top of The Park, love the view from up there. Thursday, a chilled day taking in sights and sounds before usually heading to the Stonebridge for the Baggy Monday’s set before partying into the early hours at where ever the journey takes us! Tomorrow would’ve been my last day at work
  3. The opening of the Co-op was great last year. Early morning stroll to get some bacon and sausages, back to the tent for a bacon & sausage sarnie with a can of haze. Also great for getting a couple of bags of ice for the cool box... chilled cans of Gold bloody lovely.
  4. No at all interested in the return of football, season has been suspended too long, so has lost all its momentum for me. After watching bits of last nights games it confirmed it for me, just a watered down version, hardly a hard tackle put in and with the lack of atmosphere, found it dire to be honest. Proved beyond doubt that the game is nothing without the fans. Rather Glastonbury was going ahead than the football re-starting to be perfectly honest.
  5. He left them as champions by 12 points.. Do you also think Giggs and Scholes are overrated?
  6. Interesting take. Widely reported that the only advice Sir Alex gave was to keep the coaching/background staff which Moyes then went and dismantled for his yes men. Also turned down signings Sir Alex had lined up, one being Thiago who ended up at Bayern, to sign Fellaini... but yeah Sir Alex masterminded the downfall of United.
  7. Completely agree with you, a season for me is all about the momentum of a season, the highs & lows and hoping you have something to play for at the end. This season stopped so long ago it would feel like a promotional mini tour, almost like a pre-season but without the fans, just think it would be sterile.
  8. One of a few articles I’ve read in the link below https://www.si.com/mlb/2020/04/10/sports-arent-coming-back-soon It just doesn’t seem workable to me. Like I said I’m hope I’m wrong, I’m missing football and sport in general as much as the next person.
  9. Football behind closed doors is pie in the sky fantasy stuff. It’s been dismissed by plenty of specialists The logistics of it all makes it unworkable. I’d be surprised if we see any football in the next 6 months. Hope I’m wrong but I just don’t see it being safe to do so.
  10. Interesting read here, it’s a bit doomsday and about the more dominant American sporting seasons NBA, NFL & NHL, but I think the point stands about the effort to play games behind closed doors. https://www.si.com/mlb/2020/04/10/sports-arent-coming-back-soon
  11. Personally, it doesn’t sit comfortably with me using tax payers money, when in all likelihood we’ll sign a player for for between 5-10 million in the summer. It’s not like the club will go under and there is still a chance games will played.
  12. Strange, I couldn’t care less if it’s finished or not. I think a football season is all about momentum, hopefully leading to the excitement of promotion or play-offs. Even if you’re in a relegation fight, the ups and downs leading to staying up are exciting. This season has, for me anyway, lost all momentum. It’s like it’s never happened.
  13. Thanks for the reply, Maybe something will be done in today’s update. Stay safe everyone
  14. Bit of advice please fellow reds, I really don’t want to be in work and I would classify mine as non-essential. Unfortunately my employer doesn’t see it the same and is asking us to continue working, we are all PAYE so he/wewould be entitled to the 80% wage help if we were sent home or at least I think he is. My question is, do I need him to send us home before we are entitled to it? The way I see it is unless we’re sent home we can’t claim it. Hope you’re all well, stay safe!
  15. Exactly how I feel about Glasto. It’s my favourite 5 days of the year. The stress of everyday life once you get through those gates just disappears in that hazy Glasto bubble, where you don’t give a toss what’s happening outside of that fence.
