  1. Give it back to the rightful owners the Bristol Combination
  2. Funny how the said gates state the fact the ground is the memorial.
  3. What about someone stealing a ground and war memorial at that.
  4. Could not agree anymore. A great day for Bristol and one of its most famous war memorials
  5. My only glee in this is that the mem remains this day a sporting venue. Kind of makes me wonder if Karma is true. My wish is that one day the mem returns to being a ground dedicated to the rugby players of Bristol. Its hard to see Bristol returning but my hope is that Rugby somehow gets its mitts back on the ground. I see this decision not a kick in the teeth for Bristol in anyway but a result for at least today for the mem
  6. No fuss because the ground was still being used for sport.
  7. I would like to add that its your comments I find vile and not something I feel toward you personally. It is great that Bristol will get two great stadiums but not great that it is being funded by this desecration
  8. the land was given for sport in memory for the war dead. No matter how you try and butter it up its vile. I have never dissed the mem and hold Bristol Rugby as much to blame. I can not tell you how angry about it and frankly your move on comments are vile in the extreme. I hope justice is done
  9. It strikes me as funny that you can say to people to chill when you are so happy to desecrate a war memorial I am not in the least bit jealous. I am appalled and repulsed by how you are not ashamed at your clubs actions. If I went down to the city centre and started knocking down the cenotaph I would rightly be despised
  10. Rovers know it too, as they have considered plan b and c etc. A velodrome was discussed but would not bring in the finances. If that document ever gets found and I hope it does I hope there are massive repercussions one of which gives bristols rugby players and playing public a ground back.
  11. It did exist. And v is drummed into every player who pulls on a combination shirt.
  12. Loop hole where trash are claiming documental evidence was not seen or something ot worse was witheld. I wonder if that document will surface that states the land can only be used for sport. Interesting either way. I just want the ground to be kept for its intended use of sport and for rugby.
  13. I still hold hope that someone finds the deeds of the ground and it is returned to its rightful place as a war memorial for sport and for rugby players. Not jealous at all.
  14. http://www.bristolcity.vitalfootball.co.uk/stats.asp?a=347422 damning stats for me. But will be there saturday doing my bit. But will have to watch through cider googles.
  15. [quote name="Nogbad the Bad" post="1969130" In the final analysis he was damned by the team's appalling record under his management. .
  16. What we lack is leaders......leaders in the board room management and on the pitch.
  17. I dont agree Nick J but respect your opinion. And nogbadI think we did see evidence of it. I dont question his lack of personality or lack of inspiration he lacked both this by the boatload
  18. I generally agree with what you say but Sod had and has talents as a manager no but coach yes. The question is could we get anyone better and that remains to be seen. I would prefer to have done what forest did but in reverse and kept Sod as coach ( if he was willing ) and bring in a motivator and face for the camera. I didnt believe Cotts was that man or is it that man but want him to prove me wrong. Losing at the press briefing was a worry as is two compilations all be it to the leaders.
  19. Still hoping cotts will prove me wrong and be better than Sod in terms of getting points. I aint going to make any knee jerk reactions and genuinely hope he gets us out of this. I was far from a sod lover just didnt think we could get anyone better. We have a good squad and had a good squad they are still under performing and that was my concern under sod as he couldnt inspire anything. Cotts after a honeymoon period does not seem to either. I genuinely feel now its down to us to do all we can game time to lift the team and be as positive as we can. The squad is good enough but has no belief that needs to change. Consecutive managers have failed to deliver but at some point we got to stick with one. I feel right miserable right now and even after reading posts hear am gutted I could not get away from work early enough to be there tonight. Hurting but will never lose my love orvhope for my beloved Bristol City
  20. Just adding my comment before moving on. I think the board have called this wrong and am disappointed with it. For me we needed to stick with Sod as I believed he had turned the team around after ridding us of deadwood. I think this is a knee jerk reaction and can not see us getting anyone better in. That said i will get behind the next manager and team as i always do. No use sulking now decision has been made.
  21. It is my sincere wish that one of these brandishing everyone idiots gets wrongly arrested and banned from the club. Then they may indeed grow up and stop pre judging everyone from their ivory towers. It should be everyones right to be able to go to a football match without fear of getting hurt and even more so young people. People are being banned for doing nothing wrong the club in that matter have got it wrong.
  22. What is utterly embarrassing is your one eyed view on this. The situation you give indeed is one no young or innocent fan should be subjected to. However your failure to weigh up and consider things before branding everyone idiots is indeed very embarrassing. For the record what was it that frightened the six year old lad
  23. Think the main point is that the club give a chance by means of a meeting with those recieving the ban to tell their side of the story. The club in my opinion is posdibly being over zealous. My recent experience at Swindon has left me angry at heavy handed policing and has certainly made me more reflective of this whole debate. A very good mate of mine suggested that fans should attend a match wearing annonymous masks as means of making the club aware without us they are nothing I certainly think the club is severing links with the fans and don't like the way that is begining to feel. The contrasts between The Rovers statements and ours are at the opposite end of the spectrum and hate saying it but the rovers are right in this matter.
