  1. Apparently Northampton refused to cook Wael his lucky pre-match lasagne, so he got deliveroo to deliver... and the tweet is a hilarious take on this. One of the replies complained about it and because they @'d deliveroo, deliveroo apologised, officially as if it was a genuine customer complaint. And here's another... Don't you just love template responses? They always seem so genuine and sincere.
  2. Their official twitter feed is extracting their urine....
  3. ... and Steve Bruce blamed the pitch. https://www.bristolworld.com/sport/football/bristol-city/west-bromwich-albion-manager-criticises-bristol-citys-playing-surface-after-baggies-3618738
  4. Add to this the fact that Barnsley play Reading, Swansea and Posh, Reading play Barnsley, Hull and Cardiff, Cardiff play Swansea Reading, Hull, Birmingham and Derby, Hull play Cardiff, Swansea, Reading and us, Derby play us and Cardiff, Birmingham play Swansea and Cardiff, Posh play us , Barnsley and Swansea and Swansea play Posh, Birmingham, Cardiff, Hull and Barnsley, there are probably no permutations by which we go down, mathematically.
  5. It was a mis-hit shot ,Rob, don't listen to what he tells you.
  6. Interestingly I thought that the lyric to Alex Scott's song was "like Ryan Giggs," it turns out it was "it's frightening", Section 82 must learn to enunciate.
  7. Despite points deductions etc we are still comfortable and probably already safe. 35 points is probably enough to be safe this season. Our form is poor but in 2022 only a point worse than Derby and 5 points better than Reading, 10 points better than Peterborough and 3 points better than Barnsley (despite their more recent form). It would be nice to catch West Brom, but we will probably finish 19th. FORM 2022
  8. It is not relevant, just make sure that you start and end your journey at Parson Street.
  9. The Geoff Merrick interview is the best the media department have ever done. So much respect for this man. Such a hard bitch.
  10. 30 was old back then. I remember a past it Kevin Keagan playing for England in the World Cup Spain 1982 he was only 31 but long past his best.
  11. ? Eight men forced it seems To save our football team To tear their contracts up So we could go on ?
  12. What time are they finishing @Never to the dark side? I need to be on the first available train to Temple Meads in the morning after (Thurs 10th Feb), usually the 6:10am or thereabouts?
  13. Wimps! https://www.theguardian.com/football/2010/jan/10/fa-cup-1963-freeze-abandonments
  14. I still have the unused car sticker version of this badge in a box somewhere/ It has travelled with me everywhere for all of those years . Every time I move house I rediscover it and am reminded of those dark days. ?Now FORTY years on ,we're still going strong? Although some irritating oiks are still singing THIRTY
  15. Yes it is an excellent point. But the point that I was making, in my original post, was that for all the arm waving about it, the truth is it makes no difference at all to our position this season which is that we are neither up nor down. To parody Boris Johnson's Kermit the Frog analogy, half way up the table is a place where we sit, there isn't really any place quite like it. We're not at the bottom. We're not at the top. So this is the place where this season stops. And , to put yet another way, this season has ceased to be. 'E's expired and gone to meet 'is maker! 'E's a stiff! Bereft of life, 'e rests in peace! If games finished on 90 minutes 'e'd still be pushing up the daisies! 'Is metabolic processes are now 'istory! 'E's off the twig! 'E's kicked the bucket, 'e's shuffled off 'is mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisible!! THIS IS AN EX-SEASON!!
  16. And then home to play with your tin soldiers! My first ever gig 1979 Colston* Hall. 12 years old. Mosh pit (well as close to it as I dared). Fun times. *apologies if anyone was offended by the mention of the name or the implications that it was alright back then, if I had gone to another venue and thrown this one in the harbour I would have done,
  17. I was just thinking the other day how you never see anyone climb up onto the roof of the stand like you used to at almost every game. It was definitely inflamable material, full of flags and emblems, barbed wire love, you'd just go or it, fly the flag. The memories fade away, but back then it was roots, radicals, rockers and reggae, a brilliant wasted life, at the edge. Nowadays its like an alternative Ulster, just bits of kids with their suspect devices. Listen, it doesn't make it alright, but here we are nowhere, Gotta getaway. We're nobody's heroes. All the best.
  18. I remember it well, I was behind the goal, 20 years of skin and bones. There was a huge commotion and I looked over to my left as someone shouted "Don't look Ethel" but it was too late.
  19. I hope the coat is warm, you will be a long time out in the cold with that effort (but I won't knock you for trying) Semenyo - we have a song Scott - we have a song Kalas - we don't have a song, and defenders usually need to say "No" to someone before they get one.
  20. So what we are saying is that football does not matter???!!!
  21. Blow job goes massively wrong as perpetrator misses the target.
