  1. 3 goals + 1 assist and a liability defensively, what would ever do without him?
  2. FFS, Palmer and Eliasson are the stars from the last game but Paterson get's selected again, sorry I really don't get how after the past 12 months Paterson gets selected, especially with what's available and I don't care about what LJ sees in training. Paterson has barely had an average game for 12 months now, he has not been central to our form and continually selecting him does not make sense.
  3. Yes but then there were proper journo's not keyboard explorer's, Peter Godsiff and Robin Perry, todays excuse for journo's are pathetic and obviously not in the loop at BCFC in way, shape or form and probably for a good reason, the present incumbent and the one before only got told what the club wanted them to know, which is little or nothing. PS:- My interpretation would be he was bored by this tepid window, a window getting more and more tepid by the year.
  4. What a very sorry and sordid web is emerging surrounding Mckay and his working methods. No wonder Cardiff are not overly happy over his involvement. Another reason to despise agents.
  5. Yeah but you believe that Paterson is a top player.
  6. I actually meant photograph 2 not 4. Until we took the lead they looked dangerous on the break and then the midfield started to cover the defence better. Bolton fans should be proud that their team never gave up the fight for the whole 90 minutes and our fans should be proud that we stood up to a physical side. Pack is another enigma to me, he directs with the ball at his feet and he berates others after the event, but he does not appear to organise when we are not in possession, I don't think he is very good at organising the midfield defensively and that I believe is what we now need to progress further.
  7. Picture 4 players around the man with the ball, Pack should have been on the centre edge of our box directing operations, he was like a spare whotsit at prostitutes wedding where he was and Da Silva was caught ball watching. My point is as always we need somebody in midfield who can read and direct under those situations, not only the midfield players but also clearly in this case the defence as well.
  8. Can we talk about total lack of midfield protection in the lead up to the goal because they were all in attacking positions as was Da Silva? He was left hopelessly exposed.
  9. Very true but have no problem showing Saint John Cleese major/cricket piece from Fawty Towers, which is strange.
  10. I wouldn't say I have changed my mind, I remain still unconvinced but he is slowly winning me over, this run is truly impressive and several players have either come back from injury to impress or some have just improved, the last 2 games have proved that fringe/squad players can step up and maybe the scouting is hitting the mark for a change? If I was going to be ultra critical, the first 30 minutes last night to me was everything that is wrong with our midfield as a fully functioning unit, absolutely zero organisation or discipline, there was no protection for the back 4 during that time, they were gung ho constantly in front of the ball when moves broke down leaving us susceptible to the ball over the top straight down the middle, there were times when Baker and Kalas were livid, once we took the lead that organisation improved and we were comfortable, individually we have some great midfield players but we lack organisation. Work needs to be done on Diedhiou he lacks quality, composure and positioning in the opponents box, he is still remains a rough diamond imho, but his work rate cannot be questioned. Also we have several players who are better and more consistent than Paterson, in fact we have several options now. All that said I would like to see one more midfielder (maybe the young lad from Everton) and definitely a striker to at least give Diedhiou competition. But yes impressive and we need fear nobody.
  11. Pretty good all round team performance, Eliasson was a danger throughout and made one scored one, Wright never put a foot wrong for me, Morrell played his part, Palmer is just a breath of fresh air, Diedhiou well you cannot fault his commitment, but he lacks quality and composure, surprised Eisa wasn't given a run out on the hour. What impressed me was we stood up to a physical Bolton side, when minds could have been looking at the league campaign.
  12. Bollocks, Mrs Bung was telling the truth then.
  13. is that like when see I nuns in a film, they are not really nuns?
  14. If the women concerned were like any that used to inhabit the Black Prince at Llantrisant back in 90's, the 'Bristol' fans were lucky that they never got a kicking.
  15. Taking a viagra ready for an impromptu board meeting and the managers initiation with the camel.
  16. Another part of the problem for me is and it was fully evident yesterday was that Diedhiou was winning loads of flick ons in the game but those flick ons were to nobody, because Wiemann is out wide and not ahead down the middle. Again maybe that might change with a stronger midfield containing Palmer?
  17. Change of position is the key, he has largely failed playing in a wider position, most of his goals for us were him in the 6 yard box getting on the end of low driven crosses something that Diedhiou is poor at. I have questioned whether the 2 of them can play together, now perhaps the answer is that Paterson cannot link that number 10 in the way that Palmer maybe can.
  18. I agree with the main thrust of the OP, my reservations are that when Diedhiou was banned, he was scoring for fun, he hasn't scored since Diedhiou returned and that must be a worry, hopefully as mentioned the introduction of Palmer might prove to be the missing link. Then all we need is for LJ to realise that Palmer is not spelt Paterson. I thought Paterson did ok yesterday by the way, but Palmer is better.
  19. I actually agree, I was surprised when LJ subbed him, although a great team performance, I thought ODowda was wasteful today and Brownhill was nowhere near his best, but everybody certainly put in a shift and the overall performance was impressive.
  20. No irony at all as you say my comments were from ‘a couple of months ago’, pre the 12 match unbeaten run, when nobody was playing particularly well and Diedhiou was truly struggling.
  21. Not worth the energy mate, the bloke has been found out on here time and again.
  22. For me probably the best all round team performance during this current 12 game run.
  23. A result and performance to warm the cockles of yer heart on such a winters day. The performance of a super confident team, everybody put in a shift and we deserved it, wen were the better side. And Colback is a ginger ***.
  24. Not going to criticise the performance which has been full of energy. But the same old problems in the final third still persist, we either run out of ideas and slow it down, poor crossing or poor decision making, Diedhiou had a great chance when put in by Da Silva on 9 minutes but he wanted far too much time, on 12 minutes ODowda hit the first defender with his original shot and then missed the opportunity to put in either Paterson or Wiemann, also our only free kick around the area was poor. Da Silva for me best player on the pitch, Pisano is the only worry for me so far looks like a mistake waiting to happen, the defence kept them at bay well, one dodgy moment for Fielding, even Paterson got a tackle in on the edge of our box. More of the same with better decision making and delivery in the final third.
  25. The general service from Bristol sport is beyond appalling, they don't bother to read emails, I recently sent them an email about my Bristol forever account and received a bullshit reply about tickets for the Bolton FA cup match. BCTV this season has been truly appalling, lack of information and more bullshit replies to problems when contacted. I too have no idea as to whether this is available today or not.
