  1. Next up for the massed travelling blue few;

Oldham, famous for car batteries and being one of the highest bleakest football grounds in England.

Oldham are expecting a big crowd of over 5,000 (that's the whole attendance, not the away crowd!)

In the Latics squad ex City players Brian Wilson, founder of the Beach Boys and Aaron Amadi-Holloway (no relation)

1-0 to Oldham with Holloway heading home the winner :clapping:

The thing is you can't knock what City are doing at the moment but that doesn't stop me from wanting it to stop!

Currently we are light years apart and that doesn't look like changing any time soon, but things do change and in football it can happen quite quickly. A year ago Lansdown and Johnson in particular were getting some horrific stick and the prospect of us facing each other again in league competition looked odds on, a year on and it looks as far away as ever.

I'm 53 next week, and at the moment, I'd take just PLAYING you once more in my lifetime.

    edit for you Miah

    **** them.
When we hit rock bottom we stood strong and supported our club , they didn’t even fall as far as us and they turned their backs in 1982 and their club died.
They hate the fact that our hardcore support is stronger than theirs and they know that whatever a mess our club is in we’ll always stick with it and not turn our backs.
I want our owners to give us the facilities that we deserve but I don’t ever want to be like them.
Like another poster said they used to get crowds of 28,000 in the 70s and 25,000 of those disappeared when the going got tough only a few years later.
And don’t forget we beat the Busby babes 4-0 so we’ve still got the most impressive record match v Man UTD.
    FTG'

If you ever what to shut up one of the few regarding the "we never turned our backs" argument, just quote the attendance at the historic final ever match at Eastville.  3,576 incase you didn't know!

Also, and I've asked this before, why the acronym FTG?

And that would make the statement OK?

What about 'you black ****'? Is that better?

I think we have all grasped the point now, and perhaps the entire post itself could now be deleted or prehaps replaced with a paraphrased description.

Seriously, I believe the Christmas school holidays have now started, and I would hate to think of some younger forum members reading this particular post.

No, but there might be some of a sensitive nature on here!

  5. One of the younger blue few on asschat says he has noticed the age demographics of the crowd at the Memorial Ground. He says he's surrounded by old gits or young kids being forced along by old gits, not many teenagers or young adults.

Now one of the things you'll notice about the crowd at Ashton Gate is the age range. it's a good spread across the generations.

    Another indication of City dominance?

The city is ours as the song goes :clapping:

I think that they're probably shitting themselves more at their own position, form and finances!

Ask any gashead which he would prefer, playing in League 1 while we play in the Prem, or being in League 2 with us down there with them, and they will choose the later every time. They pray for our failure more than their own success, sad bar stewards :gasmask:

  7. Next in line (a day early as the Mrs. is dragging me Christmas shopping tomorrow! )

Gillingham away, owned by our friend Paul Scally, who kindly sent us Tiny Penis free of charge.

Gillingham is a small town in Dorset for any of the few who are travelling, easy trip, should be thousands locked out.

In the Gills squad should be our old mate Scott Wagstaff.

Waggy has restyled himself as a tramp in honour of R*vers greatest ever homeless player

  8. At a Christmas social last night attended by a few who claim to have insider knowledge of Bristol football, I heard two rumours which even if only slightly true would make VERY worrying reading to the blue few;

1 , They don't own the Colony training ground site, it's on lease and haven't paid the rent for 3 months, ground workers are about to be ordered off site.

2, They have had to take out a short term loan to pay the players.

    :gasmask:

Henbury Gas, we know you read this thread on a daily basis, what have you heard?

amazingly I'm sometimes outnumbered, but not Friday, loudest rendition of stand up if you hate the gas I've ever heard, it was brilliant to see all the sags realise they were suddenly heavily outnumbered.

Get em to try the Pill tradition of swimming to the Lamplighters, Shirehampton.
