  1. I'll cherish that ONE win for years
  2. Left Devon in glorious sunshine not believing all this snow and rain talk. Now approaching WSM it's all gone dark, oh dear!
  3. Why can't Somerset have two England players that do different things? We've had Buttler and Keiswetter, Leach and Bess and now Leach and Bashir all clashing which means one has to go, at least on loan.
  4. Same. And I think it suits our players more than a summer tournament where we seem to turn up with more end of season exhaustion than any other nation. We were a tad unlucky not to progress further in the last one.
  5. It’s an ignore from me. I won’t go down the booing route as I’ve witnessed what an inspirational boost it can give a player. Stan Collymore for instance
  6. A quick count for me comes out as 22 old grounds in England, nearly all of those I’ve visited their new replacements, including West Ham, Leicester and Southampton this season. Also a couple in France, Toulouse & Nice both old and new. A number of complete refurbishments too, Charlton, Bournemouth, Marseille, Plymouth, us to name a few.
  7. Thanks for the offer. Unfortunately I’ve now got to pop into work first thing so will be on the next train or drive. Fingers crossed we have a good day. COYR
  8. YouTube has the subscribe button, if you click that then that channel or YouTuber will always be under subscriptions. Just clicking the like button doesn’t do much for you I don’t think, except YouTube will promote similar videos/channels on your Home Screen.
  9. It feels like our Devon fanbase is growing every year. I might be on the same train, especially now you’ve mentioned Natch!
  10. If Bristol City are in charge of the announcement don’t expect to hear anything until the Tuesday before
  11. The good - 2-4 win The bad - too bad to mention And the ugly - all the squatters in blue and white quarters
  12. There are a lot of Stokies not happy with Schumacher and even some calling for the return of Pulis, which is pretty much what they always do when they’ve lost a few. They certainly are in a relegation fight, they should get out of it but it might well go down to that last game of the season. Haven’t made my mind up whether to go yet, it might be a game too edgy for me and my Stoke supporting wife.
  13. Which isn’t close to being relegated. With the amount of clubs beneath us I’m very confident we’re not in a relegation fight. I think it was the season before last we had a similar thread that carried on way into April. When the season finished it turned out we had enough points by late February to stay up. Of course Stoke away is a very happy hunting ground recently, 5 wins on the trot is it? I’ve a feeling it will end this season with Stoke surviving and us making big gains on last season with a solid 13th place.
  14. A great left foot for sure but I could never offer legendary status to a professional footballer who wouldn’t/couldn’t pass a ball 5 yards with his right foot.
  15. I was at that game and seem to remember it wasn’t a complete surprise when they turned up but can’t quite remember why. I’ve a vague memory of some City fans going to Millwall in the summer and spraying some message on the back of a stand or something like that. Things certainly got worse before they got better, the tit for tat seemed to go on for years.
  16. I must have been stood no more than 10 meters from that police van when it went over, also remember the city fans in a boat on the harbour. Sadly I missed the Nolan sisters
  17. Yes Torquay and Yeovil are full time and I think Worthing and Maidstone are pretty much full time. Eastbourne were considering it but are third bottom so that’s not going well. I was at that Torquay game too, great memories. In fact Torquay were the first league team I saw whilst on holiday when they played Saturday evenings. I still go at least once a year now.
  18. I did see a post from a Plymouth supporters club asking for fans to attend Torquay matches when possible to offer support. Torquay have fallen so far plus there’s room for more than the two league clubs Devon currently has. As for our situation, same city rivalries are a quite different and you could argue there’s not room for two clubs in the city, so………….
  19. Interesting but difficult times ahead. I’m working on Saturday but might buy a ticket for the match anyway. It really would be grim if they drop even further……or worse!
  20. That they’ll be unable to fulfill their fixtures
  21. Is that right? Fans I’ve spoken to are expecting a 10 point deduction, leaving them just above the relegation zone.
  22. Agree, I’m surprised that considering his age, past health problems and the fact he rarely has a plan b, that after missing out so closely in the playoffs a few years ago that he didn’t quit then. Though Torquay themselves must take some blame for giving him a contract that long that they couldn’t afford if promotion didn’t happen. Really hope they survive this without dropping too much, they still average over 2000 stuck in mid table in the sixth tier, so there’s an appetite for football in the town.
  23. As Ron is one of our own, I wonder if we can expect a player profile on SSN every week?
  24. Back in stock, not sure what’s going on
