  1. Done. Was indeed a welcome break...
  2. Red Rum

    Lee Johnson

    Not everyone is fan...
  3. What really stands out to me (other than being the best team on form in the whole of Europe!), is that we’re pretty much the lowest goal scorers there. Don’t get me wrong, I couldn’t be happier with things the way they are, but just imagine if we had the current squad now plus a 20+ goals a season striker... scary!!
  4. Ironically I saw Nicky Morgan (the MP) presenting at an industry event in London a few months ago - if there’s anything that would put you off pleasuring yourself...
  5. It’s hello, hello - taken from an old loyalist song sung by Rangers.
  6. What kind of team would give up a three goal half time lead...
  7. The one thing I have learnt over the past few years with Johnson at the healm is expect the unexpected. I’ve also learnt not to nail my colours to the mast in terms of being in the Johnson in or out camp as my feelings on this do genuinely change (hence not really posting on here so much any more). Where I have struggled is the complete lack of consistency during the course of a season, whether this has been down to injuries, poor signings, players not putting in an effort, unfathomable team selection, formation and tactics etc (you’ll notice some of these can be directly linked to Johnson - others not so much). What this has resulted in for me is a complete emotional rollercoaster during the course of a season - ranging from pure fury to general apathy to excitement and delight. Fortunately I’m trending towards the latter at the moment but have also felt the previous emotions in abundance this season and last (I must say the feeling of apathy is a newer one to me in my years of watching City). Anyway, things are looking good for now so am happy to run with that until the next inevitable twist!
  8. Hands down my favourite album of the year (likewise Brutalism was in 2017). Have seen them live a couple of times - once earlier in the year in London and more recently in Bristol. Two of the best gigs I’ve been to in recent memory. Awesome live band! I hadn’t realised until I saw them in Bristol that Danny Nedelko, other than being from a family of immigrants, is also the lead singer of fellow Bristol Band Heavy Lungs (who supported in Bristol and also sounded very good).
  9. It won’t work on the app on a laptop - only an iPad/tablet or phone. He’ll need to use the Sky Sports app rather than Sky Go - live sport can be viewed on here if you have access to Sky Go though.
  10. I do this most weeks. It’s now £1.20 but still worth it. Don’t make the mistake that I did and park there for Sat games during December and January - they lock the gates early during these months and you won’t be able to get out without the council coming to unlock them (for a £20 charge).
  11. Remind me of what got Fulham out of the lower leagues in the not too distant past!!
  12. Says on the Sky website that the midweek games will be shown on the Sky Sports app. Just downloaded this on my MacBook where I already have Sky Go and it appears to be working (as in letting me watch the current sky sports channels) without having to use an extra Sky Go log in.
  13. Idles and Shame are my two favourite new Bands. Saw Idles live in London a few weeks ago and have tickets for Shame in Bristol later in the year (Idles are also playing in Bristol in Oct). Such a good time to see Idles - they’re definitely a band on the up. So good to see this live (compared to the numerous bands that have been around for years making money by rehashing old albums). Real passion from the band and the crowd!
  14. Completely agree re Steve Lamacq’s show for the drive home - great variety of music and his favourite current band is Bristol based Idles (something I share with him). Ironic in the context of the original post as he co-hosted the evening session with Jo Wiley on Radio 1 - definitely essential listening for me in the early to mid nineties!
