  1. I think to move on we need to replace Williams and James,we are going no where with these two apart from staying mid table which jl doesn't think is enough,I would put naismith in front of back 4 who are solid enough and hopefully to add mcrorie . dickie & vyner can both carry out into midfield when needed as can Atkinson when available so naismith is not the only option. Naismith if fit of course is always looking for a killer pass where James is safety first (not a fault but not progressive either, )I think we have movement available with Sykes tgh Knight Bell conway etc but it gets stuck with the steady James (,my opinion) where as naismith is more forward thinking and would instantly be looking to play forward rather than sideways.i would bring james or Williams on to save a game not win it. I would leave it to LM to organise in front of back 4 and naismith but think we have the players to be front foot from there.
  2. I would replace James with naismith, naismith is a forward passer looking for openings James is a safety first negative passer neither has pace both can sit in front of defence but for me a big difference in end product. Maybe. Oleary Tanner vyner dickie pring naismith Sykes Knight mehmeti ( bell) Wells conway With subs to hold out or push on Tgh James Williams cornick Hmm not easy to pick .I probably change opinion after every game
  3. No he seems like he knows what he wants and usually those types are not yes men.
  4. This is his biggest opportunity to do something in his management career so far, Decent championship side with good fan base I think a good squad with a few additions in Jan he must be over the moon to have this chance I am quietly excited.
  5. Absolutely right 3 spread out hadn't worked conway no good on his own in the middle ,basically he is just being battered by giant centre half's on his own and its is usually 2 .he is not an aerial ball winner he needs a partner to work gaps with on the floor like Wells don't know why we persevere with it..
  6. Agree let's be honest we are unfortunately a decent championship side only, with again a decent chance of taking off. Good strong fan base and currently a decent top 10 squad injuries aside.Bristol is one of the best places to be in uk outside of London if I was Frank lampard I would be thinking I need to do something soon to prove I can cut it as a manager and somewhere like bristol city is a perfect opportunity, He would bring a lot of interest to our club and I think I would enjoy the ride as long as it lasted. We don't really expect to be in the prem soon and I don't think he would get us relegated so why not.i think he is a tracksuit manager and that might make a difference nige wasn't. That's not knocking nige just making a change.I think he is a decent shout.
  7. I think Curtis is a good guy to have left,it
  8. Yep being treated as less than an academy player can't understand why he is not getting 15 mins to try something he was bought for.
  9. That's why Nige bought him cos he is unpredictable a maverick surely worth a chance
  10. Can't think of any reason why he can't get on at all as an attacking change even when it's not working up front strange
  11. Yes Nige bought him as a maverick and tonight we needed a maverick to open them up,surely he was worth a run out we are struggling for creating so Mehmet must wonder how he is going to get a chance
  12. Ipswich always have a 10 yard pass due to movement we seem only to have a 30 yd pass it's all about movement.
  13. Well for me that was a relaxed calm comfortable interview where he enjoyed talking ,no hint of frustration or irritation it seemed to me like he felt his comments at the weekend were heard and somewhat listened too by people higher-up.maybe he feels his points were taken on board but not expecting anything so feels comfortable in himself for what he said, he knows he can do no more with what is available and people higher up can't really argue that.injuries have cursed us for a few seasons and with a smaller squad and big players out what can he do.I believe a fully fit squad and off field team Nige has assembled is a top 10 squad and luck with injuries a top 6 squad. In good hands with Nige.
  14. I like him but that reads to me that football is not his priority in life which is ok, but for me that doesn't work. We need a manager who is very hungry for success now and in the future. If he is now thinking of his age and meeting his bucket list he is not right for us.i watched him in his seat on Saturday on TV and he was relaxed and quiet like he was daydreaming. He has done well over an awkward period here but I didn't like how that piece came across at all. We need a hungry ambitious manager not someone who has done most things in football and is thinking of things he doesn't want to miss out on .or it me reading it wrong.
  15. Sorry robbo lobbing a ball in from a throw in is hoping for a lucky knock on not something that has been worked out its a useful tool but it ends up down to luck.and long may we keep getting a lucky knock on .
  16. I remember way back a hard as nails if it moves kick it fullback Alec brings. Briggs

    Ronaldo

I would also presume he broke his contract by refusing to play 3mins at the end of the game which has always been done to use time up but he refused so that should be enough.
