This season is that kind of season that doesn't give you a bad feeling but nothing good also. Ups and downs, we are playing good football 2 games and then horrible 5 games but at least we had a decent run in 2023. Though, nothing qualify us for a top 6 push next season ( the top 6 where this Luton finds themselves ) . Maybe the curse breaks and we have a lucky promotion next season, haha.

Good evening folks, As far as you know, I am a fan from Romania. Most of you know about me, I know a lot of things about our team but I was curious about these questions for some time. Let's put it this way, WE as a football club, developed in the last 20 years because we between 1981 and 2006 most of the time we were in the Third League (League One) or even worse. There is some improvment let's say, not by a lot but we are let's say estabilished in this league at this moment. Today we play Luton Town, a team that is let's say bigger than us in the past 40 years. They had FA Cup Final, they were in Premier League, etc. We had Hull City playing a lot in Premier League, we have this Bournemouth, Brentford in Premier League, even worse, teams like Swansea being in League Two while we were in Championship, managed to go to Premier League. Leicester, Southampton, Norwich had spells in League One and they rebuild good teams. My question is, what is happening ? I can look at Leicester, Norwich, Southampton being much richer than us. Buuuuut, how in the hell can Luton Town, Barsnley ending in top 6 while we can barely make a stupid Top half. I know Barnsley is bad now but two seasons ago they played in playoffs. Luton Town lost important players to us but they still above, this year will be the second year in a Play-Off position and they may be in the PL next seson. I saw the numbers on transfermarkt, they are considered a smaller team than us in present, even at the start of the last season, nobody gave them chances. How a team like Luton can estabilish as a top 6 team so easily ? No big transfers, no new stadium, no rich owners and stuff like that. Why do we waste so much time ? I mean when the season starts you don't even consider Luton to end top 15 but they are so easily in top 6 and playing a much better football than us, with less money. Are we out of luck ? Are we cursed ? Or is only this stupid management that needs to change at some point ? I mean.. I want to visit Bristol for some PL football this decade not in 20 years....

I mean not top 10 every season but we saw Burnley, Bournemouth, Crystal, some other teams also having succes and starting from League One at some point.

How long will take to play more often against City ? To pretend we can have a chance by being a top 10 PL team when we play them ? I am so hungry of success. I want this team in Premier League...

Horrible defending but God, Guardiola put the best team on the pitch. You guys on the stadium be glad you get to see our boys playing against De Bruyne, Foden and the rest... Is a deserved score for City, hope we can attack and score some also for the Morale.

Yea, but I am more positive now than in December. At least even this game we had some moments when we pushed for a goal, not playing only the classic " non football" long balls forever like we do when Martin is on.

Guys why are you talking about playoffs ? Be glad we stay up and we can build on this 16 remaing games to push for a better place next season. Our team has no quality for top 6 yet.

Yea... I got bad reactions like a lot of time I get on this forum. I didnt' wanted to write a negative text, but I am very concerned of our low squad depth. This season going that bad.... some succes in FA Cup doesn't make it for me even if we get into the semifinals. I won't even take a FA Cup Trophy over a promotion... I started to be a fan of this team when we pushed for promotion alongside Scunthorpe 17 years ago. The second season of me being a fan was a play-off final and half of the season in top 2. I am so f...ing hungry for some succes in the League. It was painfull for me and for all of you to dissapointed mostly every season. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I love this club and I can say that I was very happy with our succes in that League Cup run till semi-finals and playing with Man UTD and City as equals, but now is not feeling the same, we have been dissapointed for a few seasons and the future is not looking at all bright. I am very worried about our performances which are so mixed... we play like thit 5-6 games we have one good game and then again a few horrible games. Most of the players we got lately are not even playing, I don't know what bussiness are our ownders rulling, they got us in such a bad shape. Instead with the Rugby team they don't ever make mistakes, very weird. Bristol is the biggest City in England that is out of the "quality" football for 42 years already. I am the guy who says what it has to be said even when everyone remain silent. Most of the team I get a lot of hate from you guys, that is because I support my hometown team also and I also know how it is to support a "succesful" european team and trust me, when the things are not working the supporters have to shout at the board and to criticise everything, they have this team only because people like us pay for the Streams, for tickets for scarfs and stuff like that. WE ARE BRISTOL CITY. But the modern football transformed supporters into assets, as with is with the players. I am happy for our win but don't loose your heads guys ! We have a tough run to come ! Let's hope it ends well and we build on it somehow, but I must admit i am reluctant and I can't have big expectations anymore. I am sorry if I say something that you don't like, but I would love at some point to meet some of you guys on a big Premier League game at Ashton Gate.

Is this win helping us ? Playing more games instead of focusing on the League ? Or at least do you reckon will help the morale of our players ? When we were in a good run for top 6 or batting for relegation, I always preferd to be knocked out early so less injury and less games are draining the energy of our players. But I m happy to see the positive score in the same time.... I just don't care about FA Cup that much... I am worried about the League.

It is exactly what I wanted to ask. If we do a pool Im wondering how will we vote. I am afraid of this second half of the season. If they don't improve the team is all about morale because we are close... very close.

So good this World Cup break. We will be fighting for Relegation this season unfortunately. Let's hope Pearson can make it, but he doesn't seem the guy for the job either. He has worse results that he has to with this group of players. If it goes like that, we better make a switch before is not too late.

Some players showed good quality, Tanner was very good even Pring. It was a game that we couldn't win becuse the Karma wanted to not win. Everything was against us this night, and the officials also, with that CLEAR OFFSIDE goal. How can a stupid line man think if he doesn't touch that ball he is not activating the offside position.... You have to admit that playing from the back, short passes, trying to build up, moving faster across the pitch suits our players better, if we play this system we will get wins eventually. It won't change. NP is not flexible. He is full of himself. I think every opponent manager knows what to expect from our team. I am waiting for NP to bring something new to the table. We have players that can play wide as Midfielders not Complete Wing Backs. He can try to play other system...is not that great. 3 at the back with Klose... I don't know. When I see there at the back I would like agile and faster centre backs. How can a Klose cover such amount of space with his granny speed.

Thank god ! I don't know why I didn't close the tv at half time... Guys we don't have to watch game like this ? I love this team as a team but if the game is shit.. nobody forces us to watch. The idea of Nigel's is to cross everything into the box and give up on playing football but playing gambling football instead. Hoping for a lucky cross and... yeah, I don't get him, pretty bad management for this game in particular.
