  1. ...do we have it written into his loan that he can't?
  2. It's the ' Maverick ' quote I find the most problematic.
  3. I just posted this in another thread...being different, doing it our own way or ' Maverick ' is our way. It's actually part of our values set out on Bristol Sport website Our Values Collaborative: As part of a wider group always remember our sporting partners and our community. Honest: To do the right thing – always with integrity and honesty. Ambitious: We never settle for second best. Engage, excite and entertain. Maverick: To be bold and challenge the norm. To have confidence in doing it our own way. Progressive: To be innovative in pushing for what’s possible. Breaking new ground and constantly evolving to be world class

  5. He's the right manager for FGR right now imo @Frenchay Red I see managers as being the right fit at the right time for Clubs. I won't go over well documented stuff from the past re his time here...I know I'm in a minority on that aspect. However...I said before FGR appointed him, that he was exactly the type of manager to keep them up in that Division. I hope he does.
  6. Probably didn't want a squad photo of this season with NP in charge. Hence now.
  7. Last two results against Walsall and Bradford have been impressive, as both of those teams hadn't lost in 5. Sadly Grimsby won tonight as well. Hope Cotts keeps em up.
  8. So you think Stokes and Knight will be that '10' pairing next season? If that turns out to be the case, and we play a 3421, then I'm struggling to see how Sykes will fit in. Surely not on the right of the four? And Mehmetti on the left of the four?
  9. Obviously a gentleman, holding it for his lady whilst she trys to protect her hair Mind you...some of the players ' wash bags' look very similar
  10. No chance Twine will be here next season imo.
  11. Good lad...very smart. Hope he does well and enjoys it. Gutted I can't make it this year.
  12. God help us if we win it... 30 year commemorative shirt and pitch walk to look forward to
  13. Under normal circumstances I would feel sorry for him. However...he knows what's required in the position he's taken, which includes speaking to the media and public about various matters he's not had much experience with...aside from the stuff he's good at. He's either delusional and thinks he's fully capable, or just plain thick. Or perhaps he's thought, **** it...I'll take it, regardless of consequence, as it pays well and looks good on his CV. If SL watches and listens to JL and BT he must surely cringe. If not...he's delusional as well. It's the Kings play thing...we can all go and eat cake it seems...
  14. Basically they want a trophy cabinet at the HPC to show off
  15. I feel sorry for the U18s now. All the focus is going to be on them now. Talk about unwanted pressure and making it public when not needed.
  16. Like he'd say it as it was... Meanwhile at the training ground...
  17. I've got Vyner as 64 passes per game at 85% accuracy. Dickie 63 passes 85% accuracy. Matty James 39 passes with 89% accuracy. Scott Twine for Hull was 25 passes at 81% accuracy. In his game for us approx same amount of passes but 41% accuracy...less than Max
  18. Indeed some great passes, but sadly some inept control and passes afterwards, from those that received Dickies through balls.

    Front foot

The sad thing is...Cornick is being played for his defensive contribution on the right, rather than his striking ability. Says it all imo.
  20. Imo, they've all looked at the likes of Pep, read way too many coaching manuals, and are trying to play a style of football that is high risk, with often players that aren't suitable to a system and with a lot less technical ability, mental strength and less experience. Many over complicate matters. Looks impressive amongst their peers...but not so much on the pitch when trying to gain points.
  21. The plan should have been to close shop and protect Pring after going in the lead.
  22. My biggest gripe...is ' reacting'. When are we ever pro active and make the first moves? Give the opposition something to think about. After going 2-1 up I would have immediately changed tack. Get Pring and Mehmetti off. Roberts and King on. Would have completely changed the game imo.
  23. Exactly that. They are constantly looking at info during the game and giving it to the coaching team. You can set up as much as you want to how you think a team will play against you...but if the reality during a game is different to how you thought, then you have to be adaptable and impact the game by changing. Whether that be at set pieces, formations, players. You have to be able to manage and make an impact during a game. You don't win points in the training ground.
