  1. Good game this. It’s almost possible to enjoy it whatever, given we have not much to play for.
  2. Really good dogged play by Cornick and then calmly lays it on a plate for Bell. Great play.
  3. 2-2 in the Huddersfield game. Still not a bad point for them - think they're nearing safety.
  4. They’re not finished yet, but results in the National League tonight mean Yeovil slip into the relegation places and they’re in dreadful form. Wasn’t so long ago they were a division above us, and competing against us regularly. Could be having local derbies against Taunton and Bath next year. Although, some might say that’s their natural level for most of their history. Spare also a thought for Scunthorpe Utd who definitely do look finished and relegated to the NL North. Another side who we competed with not so very long ago - beating us to the 2007 League 1 title.
  5. Really thought we’d have had another crack at the championships play offs in the last 15 years…
  6. Wednesday in danger of bottling it despite having looked nailed on for ages. Just a wobble? Barnsley absolutely flying they - and Ipswich to be fair - they must be starting to think they can do it.
  7. Wouldn’t fancy trying to get out of it ourselves! Strangely I think Barnsley might sneak up in the autos with Sheff W, and annoyingly could see Derby scraping through the playoffs.
  8. Well, that’s Wigan all but relegated unfortunately. Are we still expecting a Reading points deduction?
  9. Feeling quite relieved that our form was so good since the new year because it’s unravelling a bit again isn’t it. Injuries have killed this season’s end. Oh well. Let’s try to finish with more points than last season.
  10. I'd also buy issue 1 if there was a reprint
  11. I guess depends which direction you come in to be fair. Anyway, I sort of meant compared to the Madjeski, DW Stadium etc. it certainly feels way more rooted in a proper area of the city.
  12. Football clubs belong at the heart of communities, and I think cities/towns lose something when new stadiums – no matter how impressive – are built in glorified industrial estates out of the centre. There's over one hundred years of history at AG, the pubs, the same terraced streets... give me that any day over somewhere with better parking facilities.
  13. Reading losing… am I right in thinking a 9 point deduction is likely? In which case, they’re in the relegation zone on goal difference.
  14. Love this forum. We were definitely relegated on Boxing Day, looking good for the play offs a week ago, and now apparently that was the worst performance some people have ever seen - and we didn’t even lose.
  15. Silver lining if we get beat tonight is pulls Cardiff back into the relegation mix a bit.
  16. Frustrating that we’re playing Tues/Sat/Wed/Sat from here. No chance for recovery, especially if injuries too. Wouldn’t be surprised if we go on a bit of a slump from here for a few games.
  17. Not watched, but sounds as if we’re just completely knackered? Always thought the Man City game was great news for Cardiff.
  18. Season over with those injuries but in truth the play offs were never likely. Full credit to the team for our run since Boxing Day. Completely removed any relegation fears really. Annoying that the run ends at Cardiff but hey Ho. Good chance to pick up more points this week.
  19. I suppose the quirk of a long unbeaten run is that with every passing game I expect us more and more to lose - because, due one. Been proved wrong so far - COYR!
  20. Can’t help but think last night was perfect prep for Cardiff. For the benefit of Cardiff, that is. I can’t help feel a bit ‘after the Lord Mayor’s show’, plus with the unbeaten run ending, and being run ragged for most of the 90 mins… I’ll be very impressed with the team if we beat Cardiff.
  21. 100% Man City. If we beat them and reach the QFs it probably outstrips or nearly outstrips the Man U game. If we beat Cardiff, we’ll have forgotten about it by mid-March? We’re not going down, we’re 95% certain not to go up. The cup is the last proper excitement I’d say (beyond enjoying our good form more generally).
  22. Not ideal but that we’re able to substitute on Kalas in his place is impressive.
