  1. We do seem to bend extremely easily to the demands of A&S Polices. Why on earth are other clubs able to facilitate "splitting" a stand with nothing more than a row seats between opposing fans, however we need to keep 100m apart?
  2. Totally agree. This behaviour 99% of time only comes when hiding behind police or barrier! Stay off watching Football Factory!
  3. The arrogance and contempt certain sections of our fan base has towards other supporters shows no bounds! "I want to sit somewhere else, so people who already sit there can move for me!" The only workable option in my view is to split the Atyeo and have home fans in the corner next to the Dolman with the minimum amount of tickets made available to away fans.
  4. I'll come onto the converting the back few rows, any thoughts to those that may already sit there that may not wish to stand?
  5. Just to be clear, your view is, because it's an away game sub-human behaviour is acceptable?
  6. Do you know the funny thing is, Nige would still probably get in there starting 11 at Centre Half.
  7. He hasn't shown me anything to warrant game time to date, yes he's direct but little to no product to show for it. The one thing a lot of people seem to forget or maybe ignore. Is the work rate and attitude on and at the training ground, his demeanour in interviews on Robins TV has been a little dour, I don't think I've seen an image of him smiling, I anticipate the lack of game time isn't going to have changed that. For me, he's miles off the pace but hopefully he'll have a light bulb moment and something will change for him.
  8. He is indeed, just "thumbing" through the notes on the account. Though Pula isn't charging a fortune for lending to a Football club it's still 2% above "Barclays Base Rate" which looks to be BofE base rate of 5.25%.
  9. I'm a little confused, why do you think Bristol City Holdings Limited as going concern is worth £140m?
  10. I totally get your point, however the plans and subsequent planning applications have been years in the making. There has been ample opportunities to increase and voice concern. The position of the business within an industrial estate and timing of "legal action" makes me feel uneasy about the motive. I am not trying to sensationalise, just merely pointing out that a long term supplier/sponsor would wish to voice its concerns in such a manner.
  11. My punt is they are a former supplier of Bristol Sport with beef over losing a contract. There site is at the bottom of an industrial estate flanked by David Lloyd and a Car Auction. Seems all very fishy to me!
  12. To be honest, since signing Tomas for a reported £8m, coupled with a health salary of between £20k/£30k he just didn't represent value for money. No doubting his talents but struggled to be fit for long enough periods. Nige has highlighted the large disparity in wages from early on in his tenure which was contributing to an unhealthy dressing room. Maybe the reported offer of £7k represented what we were willing to offer for that risk. I wish Tomas all the best, top pro, just unlucky with injuries.
  13. A man after my own heart, sadly your ethos is in the minority from my experience. I have a 10 year old who I removed from the football environment 3 years ago, my wife and I have him partaking in numerous other sports that we think will aide his development and a person. I started coaching 5 years ago with the intention of not necessarily coaching junior football but to provide our communities future adults with structure, discipline and values which will help them into adulthood. Wow, how naive was I, some of the kids desperately need guidance, however what shocked me the most it wasn't the kids needed it most, but some of the parents. Sadly from a group of 35 kids I witnessed more than 10 kids parents provide regular foul mouths towards officials, myself and fellow volunteers, micro coaching and encouragement of unnecessary aggression towards opponents. No wonder we have a broken society that has little respect for one and other.
  14. Be careful what you wish for my friend! Ask fans of West Brom, Reading, Wigan if they'd like Mr Lansdown as an owner. I do not wish to be an American circus, chants of "U. S. A" from Birmingham fans last week nearly made me puke. Yes he's made mistakes along the way he'd be the first to admit it. The way FFP restricts clubs not in receipt of Premier League parachute payments. It doesn't allow someone like Steve or anyone else for that matter to spend there own money as they wish.
  15. I had to read that twice, I read missus first time round and was scratching my head as to what had I missed.
  16. In 30 years I've had my car stolen from Winterstoke Road, opposite The Robins when we could park on the road. Window broke for a glovebox rummage on Raleigh Road and another window broke for someone to have a look through the boot on Bath Street.
  17. To date I don't see the hype. At the moment I don't see much more than a more expensive version of Junior Bent. Gladly be proved wrong.
  18. If needed is there not an opportunity to split the Atyeo Stand with Preston selling just over 1000 tickets?
  19. I'd spotted that one, not a chance, I'd place Preston above them too.
  20. Away at Mansfield some 20 years ago, 4-2 down with 5 to play and win it somehow 5-4.
  21. No big surprise in all honesty, new owner has been looking for the opportunity since taking over.
  22. Garbage, he wouldn't be playing if we'd kept Ronnie Sinclair or Keith Waugh!
  23. I very much doubt it'll have an impact. I'll be surprised if we have 7/8k for the game.
  24. I saw this guy walking down Duckmoor Road, may just be a coincidence.
