  1. Pring will be cup tied having played for Pompey in the cup already iirc. As for the rest, well can only see what turns up. after more Covid in the camp, some maybe fit others not so. Reckon the experimental 3-3-3-1 could be due a run out
  2. Thanks for taking time out to respond. What counter would you like to a discourse you've set up, framed amd then funnelled to be a certain way? Surely you're looking for things that fit, followed from your proof, your figures and ultimately your driven narrative, which in this case, despite protestations to the other is to label the players as being shit based on sell on worth because you've made them a statistical model based on worth. It's maddening, truly that that is how some are conditioned to see and read the game. I do lots of stats in one of my jobs, but prefer living
  3. I'm not actually looking to 'defend' anything. That bias thing as mentioned comes to the fore. Simply asked questions about a statistical set that , alas do not scrutinise well, because of the reasons mentioned. You also cant pedestal a 10million pound player because team xyz does it and thus despite being a different player for a different team then apply it to us, it's false equivalence. At a time when clubs are struggling to pay players, much lower income streams and the rest then trying to go 'my thing is we need a 10 mill plus sale to otherwise justify this policy' may as well be m
  4. Bit confused by this tbh. Was the idea here to show that the club has been wasteful? (Covid has decimated transfer fees and value) or was it to try and assign value to players in somekind of attempt to show potential, again Covid has totally wrecked the market. Under non Pandemic conditions, fees would have continued to rise and the potential for fees received would have therefore become greatly increased Also the stats do not show amortisation either, so wouldnt some of those 'losses' not actually be losses and work out as being profitable under that system? Finally league pos
  5. Hope everyone affected gets well soon, entirely right thing to do. Football surely needa suspending again now.
  6. Great for you. I'm glad that you are happy going on and on and over the same things again and again, without any difference. I'm absolutely happy for the people who dream or want promotion (However we have to earn it, it's not a divine right) I'm happy that people have different view points. However here it's in the main a collective of misery. I genuinely cant remember the last time that there was something that wasnt full of heavy drama or something pulling other posters or players or whoever down. "We've played this new youth guy. Awesome! How did he get on?" Ther
  7. Another 7 pages of rumour speculation and conspiracy, how delightful. I'd sigh and go well one year it will change, however it wont. This place is actually genuinely depressing. Same old tropes and discussiona, recycled and re positioned Hate Lansdown Hate Mike Ashton Hate Dean Holden and so on It's always our club this or our club that, when actually it's pretty much the collective moaners society, moaning about the same thing over and over and over again. Could pick a myriad of threads and the same *nudge nudge, wink wink* or juicy tidbit which solidifies about
  8. Fire Agreement. Not a bad thing Reaching In rather than reaching out is something I preach over and over again in the day jobs. It's difficult to reach out when you cant even get dressed, eat or articulate your own thoughts. Mental Health and Wellbeing is important, and a while back the Samaritans launched a Small Talk, Saves Lives Campaign, promoting this regarding trains initially, however just having a chat or checking in can make all the difference when you dont know which way is up. Let alone how to function.
  9. @phantom can we get this pinned and altered post Xmas?
  10. Another DH/MA/SL opportunity to bash thread. Why am I so unsurprised. How do we solve a problem like Bristol City? Stop creating drama around each individuals version of what the club should be where it should go and why after 20 years ish theSL is bad discourse should be consigned to the dustbin. If these things were that awful, ala Glaziers and united then a break away would have happened by now. It hasn't, yet here we are going through the same thing different manager each and every time we don't win 100 on the bounce. It's not discussion any more it's rep
  11. There's been loads of hammerings this season, not always fun to watch. I've genuinely honestly preferred the lower non league stuff FA CUP Rounds 1 and 2 has been fun, and that's really what's missing, fun. No one's denying that there wasnt rubbish games, seen my fair share of them at AG and all over but good god, the majority of things are dull or one sided. Only managed Saints vs Man City this weekend, after Friday's effort from us. See what Amazon bring with their Extravaganza weekend next weekend. Aside from that though
  12. I'd recall 'Total' I'm assuming he's a player.. *Tumbleweed*
  13. Fair does. I'm not concerned at the moment, mind I am happy seeing where the next evolution goes, rather than trying to 'will ourselves' into the Prem, where we will end up getting whipped.
  14. I dont mind the increase in stats, however when it's become robotic to the point of ennui, then there's a problem. Goalkick, nope, tap to someone in the area so can keep possession. In many cases it's suicidal for the team taking the kick. Pass back to the CB and spend 6 weeks side to side or playing dreadful passes dont help either. I get why, but it's dull, lacks invention and with the intensity on such stats as 'Xg' then the fun gets sucked out of it Make Goal Kicks have to be goal kicks and not passes again and that's a start It's not for me, Man City vs Man United recently is ac
