  1. I would be amazed if he came into this blindfolded, wouldn’t you?
  2. An individual error two steps back, after the last couple of games/weeks we’ve had... yeah O.K...
  3. National Shite Day - Half Man Half Biscuit
  4. We are a bigger club in many ways, they have been more successful.
  5. Yes definitely, my two boys and I will be renewing. Been through a lot worse than this. To be honest it wouldn’t feel right only going through the good times.
  6. Seriously? Love to know how you come to that conclusion?
  7. Would you swap with any of the above now?
  8. O.K maybe a bad choice of clubs. Hull, Ipswich, Sunderland, Portsmouth. My point is clubs have good times and bad. Brentford are undoubtedly on the up but so were Hull when they beat us in the play off final. If you had said to one of their fans walking out of Wembley that day how thing would have changed, I doubt they would believe you. That’s the way football is.
  9. Fair point but I remember when we were regularly playing Port Vale, Gillingham, Walsall & Bolton etc I would imagine their fans are saying pretty similar.
  10. Pressed Submit Reply once, not sure why there were multiple posts... Eat Bisto, should help.
  11. Crikey you must have been papping yourself when we played Man Utd & Man City!! Crikey you must have been papping yourself when we played Man Utd & Man City!! Crikey you must have been papping yourself when we played Man Utd & Man City!! Crikey you must have been papping yourself when we played Man Utd & Man City!!
  12. Further more, we all have to do “work” we don’t enjoy every so often... difference being they might not enjoy the game they play for a short period of time in their lives, I am sure they will survive.
  13. Not missing the point at all, read the last paragraph of the original post (which I highlighted in my response) which you have actually answered yourself!
  14. Simple really, given the chance to play football in the style we are currently playing or sitting in the office checking hundreds of invoices, then it is not a difficult decision, even for the same money. Add on the obscene wages then the decision becomes a lot easier. Not really sure the style of play matters too much to 99% of players, if the money is there, they will sign.
  15. I would imagine some will be desperate to get back, personally can’t wait. Time will obviously tell but there has been masses of doom and gloom regarding football’s future. This time last year I was constantly reading about 20/30 English league clubs going under and disappearing for good because of COVID, and to date none have.
  16. Which would be great if they ever did deal with it. Unfortunately most of the time a large proportion of matches are taken up by time wasting. Referee’s are conned by it over and over again.
  17. Maybe next time then he should politely ask him for the ball back, I am sure that would work.
  18. At least he is showing a bit of bloody fight. Cantwell crude foul, then refuses to give the ball back and gets the same punishment as Palmer who was trying to get the game restarted. Makes sense...
  19. History suggests they will.
  20. Not really sure why people get so concerned over this? A lot may criticise some of his football decisions but as a businessman I don’t think anyone here can criticise. Looking at some other clubs and their owners, I think we are laughing. As long as he is in charge I won’t get too concerned over the club’s finances. I would leave it to SL.
  21. They will probably all be locked outside.
  22. Watched in the Hanover Arms in The Oval South London which was my local at the time. Remember leaping round the pub much to the bemusement of the other drinkers
  23. So have I, looks like they might have made separate payments for each season ticket.
