  1. Well he'll lose his best players here too, so that's something to look forward to.
  2. John Savident, I say, John Savident - Fred Elliott in Corrie RIP
  3. Unquestionably. Better facilities and continued second tier football show that. I think the problem for the Lansdowns is their continued inability to find the right formula. Flip flopping all over the place and getting nowhere fast. He'd leave us in a better place, but it could have been so much better if he'd have stuck to a plan.
  4. That's because Nige had loads of time on his hands, what with never being " out on the grass".... I'm joking of course.
  5. Yep he was, as I said, selective memory. Walsh, Williams and Baker made 8 appearances between then that season.
  6. Mawson, Baker, Dasilva and Weimann were all injured for the majority of the season Pearson took over. Fam and Nagy were looking for a way out and we were playing Bakinson, Taylor Moore, Tommy Rowe and Bakinson far more than we should have been. Semenyo was a raw kid and Alex Scott was nowhere near the first team. All about opinions, but your selective memory won’t convince me that we were in a better place then.
  7. He doesn't need to use his real name, everyone knows it's Penry, the mild mannered janitor...
  8. On the back of the last 2 results, this seems apt
  9. In the bogs up the lions
  10. Sad news. Proctor and Zaheer made me fall in love with cricket after going to Neville Road with my Uncles. RIP Mike
  11. Don’t knock the officials (they were ******* awful by the way, especially the Lino in front of the dolman) or you’ll have @Portland Bill climbing all over you. Of course he’ll have only “watched” it on the radio as he’s turned his back on the club

    Mbude.

I said just before I walked out on 85 minutes (yes I am in the dolman), he looked liked someone who’d won a competition to be a professional footballer for a day. Prepared to give him time but didn’t see anything to get me excited today.
  13. All this talk of 1974 reminded me that that was the year my Dad first took me to Ashton Gate. Just looked it up and it's only a few days until my anniversary..!! 26th Feb 1974 - beat Millwall 5-2 on a Tuesday afternoon. 50 bloody years.. I remember zero about it..!!
  14. This should be the kit design for next season. Like that a lot
  15. I’ve not been 100% sold on him so far, but if we can keep these levels up I’ll be more than happy. Probably the best performance and result against a top side, in the league for 5 or 6 years. As for the t wat going on about the “cult of Nige”, well I’m one of them if you want to put a label on me, but as long as City are winning, I'm as happy as he next man.
  16. Absolutely superb performance. Drives us on, calms us down. He’s got it all in his locker. Be gutted if we let him go
  17. So I'm right, they've got his dates wrong. As one of the 8, not that difficult to get the 82 bit correct.
  18. Well you’ve completely forgotten 2 of them!! We were there for 4….
