  1. Tungsten darts were a nice little earner, made in the toolroom..
  2. One of our neighbours kids who is four has been learning Spanish during the lockdown. But he still can’t say please in Spanish, which I think is poor for four.
  3. I’ve had a recurring dream where I think I’m a horse. 5 nights on the trot.
  4. Something else for the conspiracy theorists out there.... https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/books/2020/mar/05/theres-something-out-there-spread-of-disease
  5. Is the racing at Cheltenham still going ahead? I appreciate they’ve already had a few days of tens of thousands rolling around having a great time but it’s a bit odd that the ‘Sport of Kings’ gets the go ahead yet football in the same town gets cancelled.
  6. Maybe the club would be generous enough to make the Robins TV (or whatever it’s called) free to everyone during this difficult time? Those who have subscribed should get a few free months next season.
  7. Funnily enough the retired army major who gave us the lecture on Chinese espionage yesterday concluded his talk by saying we were probably doing the same thing when we created the empire.....
  8. That’s what happens when you eat bats and rats. Rather than push their agenda of extracting valuable minerals from African countries where they build roads and railways etc as a way to get covert information, they should put the effort in to producing proper food for their overpopulated country.
  9. Another COBRA meeting today and looking ominous that major sporting events and other social distancing measures will be introduced? Bad news for the Sags on social distancing - no more marrying your sisters?.
  10. I see Newcastle United have banned players from shaking hands at the training ground - something they’ve always done at the start of each session, to limit the risk of cross infection. Seems a bit extreme at first but when you consider the players are multi million pound ‘assets’ you wouldn’t want to risk losing one, let alone be the poor individual who gets infected. I’d have thought they would have made it mandatory to wash hands in sanitising gel before any contact amongst the players.
  11. Has Storm Ciara done the Fewers a favour and relocated to Tent End to the proposed site of their new stadium?
  12. What they all fail to understand about the fruit market site is it’s a real business and if they sell up to the Fewers they’ll need a new site - ready to move into on day one, from when they move out of St Phillips. So before they even agree to move they’ve got to find a site themselves, design it, get planning permission and then build it - and only then can the Fewers start to even think about cutting turf for a new home. Timescale - about 5 years end to end?
  13. Is it true that Towcester (in Northamptonshire) is twinned with Breville in France?
  14. I think there’s also something going on at Bitton train station today, that’ll hit them hard.
  15. My daughter came up to me the other day and started drawing on my upper arm with some wax type pencils. I think she was looking for a shoulder to crayon.
  16. My mate who has a stutter was telling me about his Nana. By the time he was finished we were all signing Hey Jude
  17. How many tickles does it take to make an octopus laugh? Tentacles
  18. Outside the YMCA today and I saw a teenage lad stroking some feathers. I said, Young man, there's no need to feel down.....
  19. From what I’ve read it was delayed as the player wanted more time with his old teammates and I’ve seen no mention of another pilot, same pilot- same aircraft just delayed departure?
  20. Parents, be warned! Hundreds of kids have been sent to mime school over the last couple of years and nothing has been heard from them since.
  21. OK...... What I implied was why don’t they have them fitted?
  22. Do these smaller aircraft not have the emergency beacons which emit their location?
  23. Even the local BBC website are having a go at the poor old Sags, headline news on the app is them being beaten by the mighty Barnet. This replay match actually took place on Wednesday 21st November? Maybe I’m caught in some sort of Groundhog Day void? I bet any time now City will go on an 11 game unbeaten run, even winning our away game at Forest... Bristol Rovers 1-2 Barnet: Non-league Bees shock League One opponents http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46203825
  24. Always enjoyed watching all the various shows they were in. I once made the mistake of Googling “Young Ones / Bottom” on the same search. Big mistake..
  25. Isn’t there a Thomas Ware scrapyard on Feeder Rd, maybe a connection?
