  1. What is it with the obligatory shot of FIFA President Gianni Infantino sat in the stands as the match starts? Is it written into his contract that the TV companies must show him at least once during each game?
He may well be President but it seems to be a bit  a rse licking to me.

    Great ain't it!

Head of refs, Collina, said we asked the 4th officials to keep track of lost time in Russia and it sort of worked, we have asked them to be more accurate this time around" roughly translated.

Think it's great, been a long time advocate of taking timekeeping away from refs as would stop the sheff utd's of this world with their antics.

Hope it finds its way into domestic football

It is a good idea and hopefully a step in the right direction to minimise time wasting and only need time added for genuine injuries etc.

If lots of time is added on for our home games it might cause a problem for people in time restricted car parking areas which people will need to allow for!

    a) Forget Martin he is slow beyond believe and we play Warnock ball when he is on the field.

    b) Understand that our squad is thin and if we want to win any match we have to play our best team. If we wanted out of this cup why not play the entire 21's because at least they would play as a team. and would not risk players needed to avoid relegation.

This is about it in a nutshell.

Hopefully we won’t see Martin start again except in an emergency.
Last night we made 8 changes to the starting line up which tells me the club doesn’t want the distraction of any cup games to impede our fight for survival to avoid relegation, which is annoying but understandable especially if senior players got injured.

If a entire U21 team was put out it probably would have played better as a unit but a lot of fans would not have turned up or demanded to pay U21 prices and the club didn’t want that either?

  4. That ‘ref’ got worse as the game progressed. Sheffield Utd players realised he didn’t have a grip on the game and just kept pushing it until it inevitably got out of control.
The referees assessor at the match should have an input and explain why it was allowed to deteriorate before any ‘evidence’ against the teams is presented.

The reality is for someone to have made a complaint, this must go far beyond what is considered to be normal swearing at a football stadium.

    Exactly this.
The OP has been put on the naughty step and he’s still so angry he has to try and find like minded people on here.

We all let a few swear words out at football but this must have been excessive and - this is the real issue, I’m guessing IF the OP was spoken to directly by the person who complained he would have been right in their face with even more bad language.
Were that to happen where would the disabled person go to get away from this selfish uncaring plonker?

People who aren’t disabled can move seats reasonably easy but the people in that section have to put up with it and in the end will probably stop going to matches because of it.

  6. Excellent article which could do with being ‘pinned’ on this Forum!

A really good insight into his style of management and acknowledgement that different parts of the club are now - finally, all aligned.

It won’t happen fast enough for some supporters (Players of games such as Football Manager), but hopefully the majority have a little more patience until we really start driving forward.

  7. Sadly I didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought I would have done. Lots of talk about problems finding a venue etc and lots of repeated shots of the graffiti covered corner of Hebron Rd(?) but I thought it was lacking depth for a programme that was an hour long? The info on Fry’s and Wills was good and no doubt great for local residents to have that done but I’m not sure I’ll watch the next episode.

Like I said in the week when people were saying about how poor they thought the crowd was , to actually get to and then park at Ashton gate is like getting up for work on a Monday morning, this council seem to do everything possible to make the experience of getting to Ashton gate as hard as possible , if ( big if ) city ever get to the premier league you watch the council start licking arse to try to jump the n the band wagon . Our council makes me sick , faceless hypocrites

It is annoying but do feel free to stand for Councillor at the next election and make parking free for all City fans.

As an aside, one thing that drives me mad is when after a meal the waiters/waitresses seem to disappear and it often takes ages to get the bill. I understand that their priority is to sort out orders from people who are about to eat, but it really irks me.

Another thing many many eating places could do which would make me feel more welcome is, after taking full plates of food to a table - don’t just walk back empty handed!
Invariably there are usually empty glasses if not plates on other tables that need collecting and returning back for washing. Why walk back empty handed, it needs to be collected sometime?
