  1. Exactly, the same people wouldn’t be happy if the stewards didn’t let them in until 10 mins after kick off. I know some people have at times needs to be somewhere else after the match but to do it on a regular basis is a bit odd.
  2. Not quite sure how you say nothing? You can’t force players to come here, quite a few see Bristol as an outpost as opposed to Manchester etc or obviously London. Put yourself in this position - in your workplace, when you feel you’re working hard as you can and others are brought in way over the existing wage structure (and your pay) then loads of staff will get upset and they suddenly may not put as much effort in as the company would like. What would you do, quietly accept it for the ‘team’ or find a better paid job yourself? Most companies have a wage structure
  3. Parents, be warned! Hundreds of kids have been sent to mime school over the last couple of years and nothing has been heard from them since.
  4. Last thing you’d want when your ass in on the line is a cock up..........
  5. Looking at the Millwall v Everton game I’m surprised how patchy the pitch looks, I know it’s raining pretty heavily but it doesn’t just look just like puddles to me - or should I go to Specsavers??
  6. We saw Aidy Boothroyd (England U21 manager) arrive in the car park tonight. Maybe he told Lee he wanted to see both his LB’s on the pitch tonight to assess them .

He’d be a sucker to do that! i don’t even use my vacuum now, it’s just collecting dust these days.
  8. As good as the real ale is in the ground itself these days (Butcombe, but out of plastic glasses) this bar is only 5 minutes from the ground. It’s a brewery with a bar, so no excuse for bad beer or lack off, what more could you want? https://www.bristolbeerfactory.co.uk/the-taproom/
  9. OK...... What I implied was why don’t they have them fitted?
  10. Do these smaller aircraft not have the emergency beacons which emit their location?
  11. Even the local BBC website are having a go at the poor old Sags, headline news on the app is them being beaten by the mighty Barnet. This replay match actually took place on Wednesday 21st November? Maybe I’m caught in some sort of Groundhog Day void? I bet any time now City will go on an 11 game unbeaten run, even winning our away game at Forest... 12. I’ve made my own in the past, just do a screenshot, paste it into a Word document, enlarge it to A4 size and print it off then laminate and cut around the face profile, add a few elastic bands and you’re in business.
  13. There are some nice - award winning I believe, apartments/flats in the developments near the Barley Mow - behind Temple Meads and right on Bristol to Bath cycle track (are you real ale person ‘cause if you are it’s brilliant for that) in St Phillips, the postcode for the area is BS2 0LF https://www.bristolbeerfactory.co.uk/barley-mow
  14. Sad as it was to lose a fellow Red, unless you contacted the club directly - and got a response to say his passing will be acknowledged, I don’t accept the club can be slated for being insensitive. I don’t know anyone who buys the Evil Post, let alone look at their hideous website and it’s not compulsory to track all threads on all social media so sadly we can only ask this is a lesson for anyone else in the future who expects ‘respect’, you have to get some buy in from the club to ensure you get the expected assistance. Apologies if this sounds a bit corporate but sometimes you h

I wonder what Mad Mick thought of Webster today? He was there watching the game with Robbie Fowler (I think). I guess they were most likely scouting for someone, no idea who they’ve got links to.
  16. Frank Lamards Derby - and his amazing fart pants (Google it...) need to start imploding sooner rather than later to drag them down a bit. As much as I dislike Leeds I’d be happy if they were no longer in the Championship - up or down.
  17. I don’t think Palmer will start, LJ will let him see our style from the bench then at half time he’ll tweak the system and bring him on where he’ll be an instant hit by scoring on his debut!
  18. It’s the way of the world these days, if it wasn’t SL it’s be someone from China or somewhere and we really don’t want that.
  19. I did wonder myself if their kit was an issue / excuse for us not playing as well as we have done in recent games. It brings to mind the MUFC game in which they wore grey and changed at half time due to players having difficulty picking out their own players. I’m sure clubs must check players eyesight but not sure if they would check for levels of colour blindness. Well worth checking and perhaps take it into consideration when picking our own kit colours? As much as I love the purple & lime kit does it cause any issues or even make it easier for the opposition to pick us out.?
  20. Look at the OP, it’s really a dig at MA.
  21. Morecambe & Wise had a huge number of very well written and perfectly executed sketches, this is probably my favourite.
  22. Always enjoyed watching all the various shows they were in. I once made the mistake of Googling “Young Ones / Bottom” on the same search. Big mistake..
  23. So, can we accuse those who do stay away to be plastic fans? Real fans support their team through thick and thin, like lots of things in our modern lives some people want instant everything, be it a new (leased) car or a house full of tech all bought on credit they can’t really afford but want ho have to be assumed successful. If you want a team with guaranteed success pick one of the top four in the Premier League and become a real plastic fan. We all want to be entertained but the reality is we have to also stop the opposition playing which means we sometimes have to play li
  24. Because he’ll get accused of using the tombola machine. If he changes the team to match up against the opposition strengths he gets accused of changing it too much, if he doesn’t because he wants to keep continuity (& ‘identity’ !) in the team that’s also wrong. Who’d want to be a football manager!
