  1. Our priorities should be: 1. Do everything possible to retain Kalas, DaSilva & Palmer. Of them Kalas is the most important but will also be the hardest to retain, we should break our current wage ceiling if needed to keep him. If we could retain Kalas (and Webster of course) then Baker can be off loaded. 2. Upgrade on Pack in central midfield. Pack has been a good servant but he just too slow, fine if given time & space but close him down and he often either gets caught in possession or plays a poor pass. A 'Barry Bannan' type, to dictate our play in CM is what we need. 3. Find a 20 goal striker. Weimann is NOT the answer, very laudable that he runs himself into the ground, but his shooting and final passing is nowhere near good enough most of the time. As much as I like Matty Taylor, he is not really good enough at Championship level either. Maybe Semenyo could become that player, but we need other options.
  2. Really? I'm not so convinced. Yes he runs himself into the ground each match, but not enough end product for me. The last two games he has gone back to looking like he could not hit a barn door with his shooting, hitting at least 6ft wide or high, and that's if he even manages to get a shot off. Often when his runs have got him in great scoring position he either wants to take an extra touch and his shot gets blocked by the defender as a result, or he abdicates shooting and tries unsuccessfully to play in a teammate instead.
  3. I reckon we will draw with Derby, which will suit M'Boro just fine.
  4. Personally hope Yeovil stay up, but it's not looking likely.
  5. Spot on. Webster and Kalas are the best CB partnership we have had since the days of Collier & Merrick. It's LJ shoe horning one of his 'trusted' favourites into the back line (BW) that has us looking vulnerable. I know someone will point out BW played at Sheff.Utd & M'boro, BUT we conceded 2 poor goals against Sheff.Utd and with a bit more luck and composed finishing M'boro could have scored 5 or 6.
  6. The Reading game and today are probably the 2 worst displays by Pack of all time, wasteful passing, repeatedly caught in possession, sooo slow. Whether this is related to lack of sleep due to new baby I don't know, but he has been dire and needs to be dropped. We simply cannot have him playing like that against Derby.
  7. Agree with you poorest game I have seen Pack play, truly woeful. Hunts crosses were poor too. However the real culprit is LJ for not starting Eliasson and picking 3 centre backs.
  8. Yep preferably in preference to Pack!
  9. If we do manage to get promoted, it would be even more imperative we replaced Pack and Hunt - they are bottom half Championship quality at best.
  10. league position has naff all to do with it, if we had better players at CM & RB than Pack & Hunt we would have won that game today - they ain't good enough if we want to progress.
  11. If as now seems likely we are still in the Championship next season and we want to progress, we simply have to find replacements for Pack and Hunt. Pack is an ok defensive midfielder, but today was a prime example of how poor his forward passing is and his lack of pace is never going to improve. Hunt has looked decent at times coming forward, but always looks susceptible defensively and today his crossing was woeful.
  12. Missed opportunity at home against lower half side AGAIN, poor LJ decision not to start Eliasson. Pack & Hunt awful.
  13. Once again great opportunity to play Fammy in and Pack overhits it... him and Hunt have been rubbish today.
  14. another Hunt cross goes for a GK...
  15. but we are not looking like scoring, don't think their keeper has had to make a serious save all match? SCRATCH THAT, Josh gets one from beauty of cross by Eliasson,.
  16. Yep, one of them needs to go off... perhaps for Palmer...
  17. Hunt's crossing has been woeful, another one straight out for a GK.
  18. yet another cack forward pass from Pack, he has been so poor today.
  19. another Hunt cross straight into their keepers arms... GET ELIASSON ON!
  20. Pack's been cack in their half, I'd be tempted to taken him off for Eliasson...
  21. wasted opportunity, as Wiemann breaks but fails to get a shot in and pass to Fammy is to far ahead of him...
  22. hmm, ref saw it the other way, Korey did have foot and studs up... fingers crossed no red card!
