  1. Rhodes has always had good movement and anticipation, he might have a field day feeding off Eliasson's quality crosses... (when LJ plays him!)
  2. Spot on... either play Weimann as a central striker or keep him on the bench, he is a poor option for right flank. If this EN deal does not come off, then we may need to play him central up top with FD, unless Semenyo can come good for us.
  3. Totally agree, UNLESS he is being played central striker.
  4. Hmmm... we could have played Weimann up front and central alongside, or without, Fammy. Better than playing him wide right, where he really is quite poor.
  5. Did you watch the game on Sunday? If you were in his position would you chose to play... a) for the manager whose tactic is lump it up to the big guy up front and hope for sloppy seconds b) for the manager whose tactic is high press, pass & move
  6. If he watched that game, he can hardly have been encouraged by our tactically inept display.
  7. Still no option to pay monthly to watch, only to pay for annual subscription, hope monthly option becomes available before Saturday...
  8. Good assessment... only change I'd make is Weimann right midfield 3/10 (gave Hunt no cover, drifted inside all the time so provided no 'out' option on right flank, didn't press Leeds players at all), Weimann central striker (last 25 mins) 7/10, scored, chased and harried well. Lesson - play him up front or not at all!
  9. Joe.M also came across very well as a summariser on BCTV last season, he was very honest about our weaknesses and all he said made good sense. Obviously understands the game well. Hopefully he continues to do very well.
  10. So let's assume the rumours about Brownhill going to Leicester are bull, where does Massengo play? I'm hoping in place of Pack, otherwise with 2 up front if we get this mystery striker and 1 wide man, there are only 3 midfield spots for 6 centre mid players; Pack, Walsh, Brownhill, Pato, Palmer and Szmodics. It's fairly obvious LJ does not 'trust' Walsh and Pato more likely to be cameo roles if not sold, but that's still 4 players to fill 3 spots and that's not counting when Korey is back.
  11. Yes he did, which knocked the stuffing out of him. That combined with being asked to play left midfield instead of No.10 role, led to his very poor run of form. Made worse by LJ keeping on picking him despite said loss of form. I thought towards end of last season and even in cameo role yesterday, he was showing signs of getting back to his best. Rather see COD & Watkins depart if we could find anybody who wanted them!
  12. after watching us yesterday and how our mastermind manager set us up, he may have had second thoughts!
  13. I've given Pato plenty of stick before, but will be quite happy to see him stay part of the squad. On form and up for it, a good squad player to have. LJ the one to blame for picking him week in week out last season when he was out of form.
  14. Nail on head... Weimann is poor when played right flank, he constantly drifts inside so is not available on right flank for an out ball, offers no defensive cover (Hunt frequently was left 1 on 2 because of this). Even when Weimann makes a good run wide and is found (not that often), his crossing is not great. Eliasson should have been on from the start instead of Weimann, or you play Weimann up front and central where he wants to be. COD does offer more defensively and I guess LJ thought COD would be inspired by being 'in the shop window', but unfortunately he played poorly.
  15. Harsh assessment. 2nd goal was almost completely COD's fault, he should never be letting the cross come in. It was excellent movement from Bamford. 3rd goal, Moore made a good run, yes his attempted pass to DaSilva was telegraphed and hence cut out, BUT having seen him go on a forward run either Pack or Brownhill should have dropped in behind, in case the move broke down, neither did leaving Leeds a free run at us.
  16. You are right, despite price being announced for monthly (up to £14.99 from £12.50 last two seasons), no option to subscribe other than annual.... odd.
  17. Sadly expect you are more likely to be right than me and we will be 'treated' to more slow, ponderous play from Pack and endless running with no end product from Weimann.
  18. I would not pick Webster, as don't think he his head would be in right place to give a fully committed performance. I'd go 4-5-1 / 4-3-3 with: Bentley Hunt Moore Kalas DaSilva Brownhill Walsh COD Palmer Pato Fammy
  19. The timing is bad though. Can't help but think we should have taken Villa's offer of £17m+£5m add-ons and bought Ajayi when he was available at just £1.5m, he would then have had chance to gel with Kalas in the friendlies. As it is we may now panic buy, if reports of paying £7m for 29 year-old Clarke, who will have little sell on value at end of contract are to be believed.

Hope yesterday's game dlspells the myth that we need Pack in midfield because of the defensive cover he gives us! Play Walsh, at least he is always looking to move the ball quickly and can chase back and tackle when needed. Pack is too slow &.ponderous, kills any notion of swift counter attacks. Hope Cisse can get LJ to see it.
  21. Only seeing an option to subscribe for whole season at £110, although text says available either for the season or via a monthly pass at £12.50pm. There is no option to select Monthly Pass, is that just because the season not underway yet I wonder?
