    To anyone who has renewed a 'physical season card'.

    Can someone please confirm whether the renewal process states or gives the option for a physical season card. (I've seen the FAQ which says to hold on to this years physical; card.)

    Thank you.

    Why:

    I went to renew two tickets and after clicking 'proceed to checkout', I only got the 'digital delivery' option (I say option, but there was nothing else to click on!). Now that was fine for me as I have a digital season card, so I renewed mine only. Then I went back and went through the process to renew my brother's physical card season ticket, but again just got the digital only option.

    Mr Barkham renewed ours. He has a physical ticket and I have digital one.
    He had a box to tick when he renewed to say he wanted a physical one again. He was confused as he was not buying two different sorts of ticket, but he ticked it and it went through.  We assume that my digital one will come through as before.

    ……. same for return no mad exit off ship normally have to pack cases the night before and porters take them from outside door then wait again for all cases to be offloaded then passengers highest paying ones first;

    Take a hold-all / small case to keep back for overnight gear for the last night once your main cases have been taken.

    I had enough time to think:

    "Surely he's offside? Oh linos kept his flag down. No surely he's a mile offside. Oh he's playing on. He's running at goal. Oh he's scored! Linos flag is still down, great goal."

    I even celebrated.

    I basically convinced myself that what I'd seen wasn't what I'd seen because the lino had kept his flag down.

    It was odd.

    That’s what happened to Owers(?) on the radio. He started commentating again in case it was a goal.

    I’m getting old but I remember when the announcement of each City player’s name would result in huge cheers.

    Was saying the same thing a while ago to my family. I was imagining the cheer in my head. I think this would be an easy thing for section 82 to get going  and I am sure the crowd would be receptive.

    Just read the evening post write up and this line stood out for me:

    ”Matty James said that’s the most controlled he’d ever felt in a game, complete dominance”

    Now, that quote to me is revealing for a few reasons;

    - He’s name dropping a senior professional and a “Pearson” player. A bit of this is to say “look the players are on side” but it is also a classic tactic when you know you’re under pressure or haven’t performed well “look x said it was good”. Any of us who have worked in offices will have seen that tactic and it’s normally the preserve of the weak

    - It’s very unlikely to be true. Matty James has played for teams who have won this league and the league above. He’s undoubtedly been in more control of games

    - It wasn’t complete dominance. That was tacked on as Liams opinion but any watcher would tell you that was never the case. Ball dominance in sections (mainly defence) granted but not complete dominance.

    Its again, an odd quote and one which is worth highlighting here.

    Agree that this quote is unlikely to be true. But it seems a dangerous thing to say as it could risk upsetting a senior player who he is trying to get onside with his methods.

  6. At parents evening in junior school, we were told our youngest was being naughty and hyper at lunch time and in the afternoon. We were stunned as we considered him well behaved. We cut out the chocolate biscuit (penguin type thing) that he had in his lunch box and he had no further trouble. From then he only had white chocolate until he was much older. I wonder how much diet affects the behaviour of some of today’s kids.

    I agree with you that but at least it's a name that would bring a bit of excitement.

    Anyway, I quoted more because of your username. I grew up in Wokingham and must have been the only City fan living there and had to endure Glory hunter Reading fans as it was in their rise in the early 90s.

    As per my name also lived in Wokingham until moving away in 2011

  8. Someone mentioned on another thread about planning for the January window. It could be difficult to attract players if they don’t know what the situation is with the manager.
    But, more importantly I wonder whether lack of communication to Nigel / Tins, regarding whether there will be any money available for any purchases, is an additional annoyance that he is having to deal with.
