  1. Is he under 40? Does he look a little bit like Eddie Howe if you squint? Will he be a ‘yes man’ and put up with interference from the owners? Afraid it’s a NO from the Lansdowns.
  2. Well the same bookies that had us at 250/1 to go down this time last week (Skybet) now have us at 66/1. So what now?
  3. No, he won’t get the sack because that would make it look like they made a mistake…and they will never admit to that. They’d rather we went down then admit they got it wrong. Haha, aren’t we so lucky to have them eh? All the money they’ve spunked up the wall only to ditch the first proper manager we’ve had for years just because he was a bit ill and wouldn’t grovel at their feet.
  4. You don’t think its possible then? That’s fine, just come out and say it.
  5. Don’t mean to be a big ol worrypants and bring everyone down but 3 games ago we were 15 points clear of the bottom 3.
  6. If we stay up (yes, it’s an ‘if’ for all the cocky ******* who think our season is over and we’re safe) then I’m seriously concerned about next season. These idiots in charge will never admit they’ve made a mistake so we better hope that something changes because these last 3 performances against teams below us have been a disgrace.
  7. Hull had been relegated from a better position than we were in at the time Holden got sacked. We were absolutely heading in one direction, which fortunately was stalled for a while with the wins at Boro and Swansea. Two matches we would’ve got zero from the way things were going with Holden. Pearsons real achievement was keeping us in the Championship the following season when you consider the finances. The fact we never really looked in danger either is remarkable. With Pearson in charge we may not have quite had enough to finish in the top 6 but I also wasn’t worried about relegation. Next season could be interesting, let’s hope it’s for the right reasons eh? Not sure I’m too confident at the moment.
  8. Our support is excellent, end of. For a club that’s done nothing in its history, that is lower mid table at best every season, the fact that our attendances have actually increased in the last 5 years is phenomenal. Imagine if we were any good on the pitch?
  9. Well, not for another few weeks at least.
  10. “More importantly most of the people who support Rovers do so through love, family tradition or supporting the team that plays in their community..” How the **** is that any different to us? We don’t have bigger crowds because our fans are toilet trained and manage not to shit all over the floor like they clearly do at the Mem, we have bigger crowds because our fans purchase 15k STs every season no matter how mediocre the previous season was. That’s called passion. They should try it sometime instead of constantly making excuses about why they can’t fill their little stadium.
  11. They are literally the only supporters I’ve ever known who voluntarily highlight how ******* shit their home support is in an attempt to make their very mediocre away support look better than it is. It really is THAT important to them
  12. Or they could’ve been getting shit* from the fans** for being 2 down which might explain why Monotone Matt decided to go over and say what he said. * louder grunting than usual. ** it’s what they do…
  13. Haha They were all expecting the fist pumps but ended up getting told off for being shit.
  14. That old chestnut, 4k in Div 4….in the early 80s. Around about the same time they were getting 4/5k in Div 3. Not to mention the fact they averaged lower than us the following season when they were still a division above. What was the attendance at their last ever game at their spiritual home? 3500? Now they think they need 16k when they can’t fill the tiny ground they have.. Deluded idiots.
  15. Yeah, ‘Bristol City Football Club’ in normal letters would look great but that’s not going to happen.
  16. Yes. He made his name at Luton but he went to Fulham before us.
  17. I know it looks like that sometimes mate but I can’t imagine any City fan ever wants us to lose, even if it proves them right. If we had some cock like Barton or Pulis in charge that might change but I know from my personal point that the decision and the risk seemed so unnecessary at the time. If we push on next season then great, we’ll all be happy.
  18. Surely you can see that this is the main gripe many people had with the decision? We were in touch with the top 6 when Pearson was sacked. Ive never been angry with Manning, I really want him to do well. My issue was with the timing and the fact that Pearson could’ve been backed more in the Summer after the sale of Scott. I can guarantee you that every City fan unhappy with the way Pearson was treated still wants Manning to succeed. No City fan wants City to lose.
  19. Very true. Reposting over and over again the picture of him upset after the shoot out. I’m mean, yeah…that’s something to be embarrassed about isn’t it? Our players actually give a shit. Maybe if Rovers players cared about the club that pays their wages they might not get done at home by Exeter, Fleetwood and Burton in the space of a few weeks?
  20. That’s the capacity of the Mem…according to Flash scores. It does however appear they’ve just made up the attendance as well (9300) as Bristol Rovers themselves posted the 7800 figure earlier. Best to just ignore Flash scores to be honest.
  21. The great thing is, this time last week they looked at Fleetwood and Burton coming up and thought “6 easy points”. Arrogant bastards. Now they want Monotone Matt out.
