  1. Knowing our luck they’d land awkwardly and break both ankles.
  2. Wow. Only stretchered off at 11pm. Over 90 mins on pitch. I’ve been with someone placed on a neck board, and it takes some time to do it carefully, but that seems to be a long time.
  3. Apparent neck injury in 87th min. Ambulance called. Best wishes, Nicky. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bostonstandard.co.uk/sport/football/boston-uniteds-match-darlington-abandoned-following-injury-3031828%3famp
  4. Saw some report in the USA over the last day or so saying that there had been no confirmed case of “on-field” transmission since pro sports had returned. By that, I assume they mean that no player from the opposing side has contracted it after playing against a team where someone then tests positive. Example being Bristol v Wasps in rugby - think 18 Wasps staff and players had it, but none of the Bristol team picked it up following the playoff semis, presumably because Bristol didn’t get anywhere near them for most of the night.
  5. Exactly what I’d hoped Chris Brunt would be...
  6. Seems to nearly always be good for a costly mistake each game, but that’s what you get from young players. Wouldn’t be playing ahead of a back three of Kalas, Baker & Mawson.
  7. Just unfortunate that when he does, he’s usually out for a few weeks afterwards.
  8. Been a problem for a while. No leaders, no one prepared to put a tackle in. Think we tried to rectify this by signing Williams, but he’s not been able to play. There’s no one in our team who can grab the game by the scruff of the neck and get going. A midfield of Bakinson, Williams and Walsh may be interesting. God knows how long we’ll have to wait for that though.
  9. Could not believe when he said that. Pretty much where we wanted to be - 3-1 down at home. Well, if that’s the expectation, then we may as well give up now.
  10. Be interesting to check back in here after the Cardiff game. Can see this one being a heavy defeat. Huddersfield won’t be easy and Cardiff will be a tough game. Could easily be 7 games without a win at that point.
  11. Apologies on the 7 subs bit. I’m sure the red button commentary said only 6 named on the bench due to the injury crisis; I switched off Twitter notifications to avoid spoilers and didn’t double check.
  12. Look at some of his recent signings: Williams - injured on arrival. Long spells of injury over the last couple of years. Mawson - injured. Long spells of injuries previously. Sessegnon - injured. Don’t know his previously availability record. Kalas - long spells of injury ever since he’s been here. JD- same. Long periods injured and unavailable. Afobe - missed the whole season basically, having had two previous knee injuries. Even if you go back a bit, we’ve had Duric and Pisano who were both gambles in terms of fitness. This has become a real pattern of
  13. Not sure if no (timeline) news is good news here or not...
  14. Sorry if I’ve missed it somewhere, but I’ve not heard the outcome of his scan which I think was being done yesterday. Has there been any update?
  15. Over a season, there will always be two or three mistakes. Moore should have just lumped it, or Bentley shouldn’t have passed it to him. However, passing out from the back generally gives a much higher chance of possession and allows us to keep our shape much more. It’s a much better way of starting play, even if it loses a goal or two over the course of 46 games.
  16. Used to have an option when you pressed record on the “main game” on the planner, all the others would come up to choose. Not checked it tonight, as I don’t want to leave now I’m watching in case it breaks
  17. Had totally missed this thread, so had no idea it was on until the BCFC Supporters Page on Twitter mentioned it. Listened to the first half hour on radio, unexpected bonus to be able to actually watch the rest of the game. COYR
  18. Oh for god’s sake. Why do we pay for this again?
  19. International break. Not much going on in the transfer window. We’ve won a few games. Give it a couple of weeks
  20. They’ve moved on to doing Rovers. Asking for suggestions now. I’ve suggested Steve Phillips and Matty Taylor. Wouldn’t it be awful if a lot of “Rovers” fans went and suggested similar players?
  21. Mainly because he was either hiding behind someone or was just five yards away from them.
  22. Ah, think I’m signed up with an old email, been on here so long! Probably why I don’t get reminders.
  23. Hope the mods don't mind and apologies for invading the football forum with a non-football post. Just wanted to send a reminder or inform people that you can pay the princely sum of £5 per year to be a site supporter and help keep this incredible forum going. It's one of those things that I've done, then forgotten to renew when the year has ended and hadn't noticed until I'd been unable to load a picture. If you can afford if, pay your fivers and get a purple name on the forum lists! COYP! To do it, click on your name in the top right and go to Manage Subscriptions. I know
  24. And Boro sacked Woodgate, Watford, Huddersfield changed managers. There’s been a few changes. Lockdown won’t make too much difference if someone’s underperforming. Expect Lamouchi will be gone before the end of the international break.
  25. His name’s Ion, Ivan was an anglicisation of it. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ion_Testemițanu
