  1. God help the poor man if we ever got to the prem. The poor little lambs, a back water paper had a go at the board! Laughable really. Maybe ot is best we stay a back water club if the owner managing director and chairman feel the Bristol Post is too hot to handle. Truly laughable
  2. Sadly sums the bloke up. I've been banging for years and his public persona seems to be slipping and the fans are starting to see through him now. Unfortunately too late to do much. He has sewn this club exactly how he wants it. To such an extent you get people on here saying "well you name someone who will take us over" well we can't because Steve walks on water Lansdown has sewn the club up in such a way, the only people that could afford to buy him out would be rich foriegners. Hey ho. I guess we have to live with this rabble at the helm.
  3. SL in talking shit shocker. The excuse for the non show of board members on cotterill's appointment is truly laughable. Sums the gutless wonders up well. All backed up by perfect Steve "I'm a fan" lansdown
  4. All great, but I'd love to see what would happen if you popped in for a cuppa. You would have to of course, because they don't reply to letters or email.
  5. Ah righto. Thanks for that. I guess that is better. Less awkward for any not wishing to partake.
  6. Is it? I have heard stories from our extended family that had loved ones killed by Mandela's off shoot of the ANC. If they were at the game, what do reckon their opinion of the minutes silence would be? Apparently they were in the wrong shopping centre at the wrong time. Mr Mandela used to be cold and calculating. I am sure there are those out there that remember that side, over the forgiving side of a elderly man. I kniw this has deviated from football minutes silence per se. But not everyone will agree with it is the point I am making, so a minutes silence should not be forced on people.
  7. Hmmm you think? Not many countries, in fact none where car hire companies warn you to stay in gear at traffic lights at night because of car jackings. Only country I have been to with car jacking hot spot warning signs. Edit I forgot to mention the great whites
  8. Yep, unfortunately his ANC party are corrupt to the core and have made many black South Africans poorer than they were under apartheid, even if they are free. Unfortunately I think this can stem back to the acceptance of money from various bad sources which led to many party becoming drunk with the thought of power and money. I don't think Mandela agreed with this but I not sure he ever distanced himself from it, and to my knowledge never criticised his party for the way it was run making his fight for racial equality and rights for Black south Africans a little hollow. Unfortunately his South Africa is now more corrupt, and money grabbing at the highest level, than it ever has been. Brutality towards blacks by the government is just as bad as it has ever been, but is massively over looked. I am all for the good will towards Mandela, but I don't think his legacy will be as great as the ideals he stood for.
  9. There are lots of things he did leading up to imprisonment, and a few things he did when in power which cannot really be described as great. I am not going to dig them out but you can do the research for yourself. As a figurehead once Apartheid was banished he has done undoubted good, But there was a lot of muddy waters rippling around NM's feet. So I can see exactly why some people will not always take the great and the goods view. Probably not best discussing it the day he dies though. Best left for another time. The man was as flawed as much as anyone else, I believe he acknowledged this and said himself he should not have been put on such a high pedestal.
  10. Certainly will, he will rip the team apart, and the transition starts again,4 or 5 years of transition eh? ******* fantastic
  11. 3 match ban,great,that is a waste of a loan spell. What a numptey!
  12. Reid every time and every minute of every day for one nearing middle age she is one damn fine cracker
  13. It matters not, only Blackpool counts apparently!
  14. How can it be clouded, they were relegated, good football or not. I never disputed the football they played up there was good on the eye. And clearly financially with parachute payments they must surely be minted now. But Money doesn't buy success, you need the tactics nous and team spirit to be winners. And some of those were missing, a little more know how and he could have kept them up, they had a cracking start to the campaign which should have been enough. I don't like the bloke, that is clear, but people rattle out BS abouthim being a great manager, his record shows he is equally adept at in fact moreso of screwing over clubs and equal relegations to promotion. That doesn't say great manager that say erratic inconsistent manger to me
  15. Relegation not failure? of course it is. That is just an excuse peddled out. Notice Swansea stayed up and have improved, enabling them to up their budget. It is about being aware of tactics, which he isn't, going hell for leather is all well and good, but they lost so many points from winning positions because of bad decisions from the boss. Relegation is failure, no matter how you want to dress it up.
  16. 3 relegations, not so fine, like I say mixed bag, but negatives (such as courting other teams twice) out weigh the positives. Then add his dislike of City and City fans into the mix, and it sure is a match made in heaven!
  17. Not really, if that were the case Ward would never have been accepted, I keep seeing this argument rattled out. The point is he is anast piece of work His career is a mixed bag Took rovers from promotion certs to 7th place Relegated QPR Promoted QPR Garden leave by QPR for courting Leicester Sacked QPR Plymouth mid table Resigns from plymouth after saying he was happy there for Leicester Joins Leicester Relegates Leicester resigns Joins Blackpool, promotes Blackpool Relegates Blackpool Gets Blackpool to playoffs Resigns from Blackpool Joins Palace, gets them up, but nearly blew it Buys loads of players who he does not rate or can control then resigns. Mixed bag, far more negatives than positives. Yet people seem to want to blow sunshine out of his arse for a promotion with Blackpool and his gung ho approach to the Premier League team for 1 season.... which ended in relegation
  18. He could equally do a shite job. his record is as bad as it is good, added to the jumping ship qualities he has when stating he is happy where he is. Not only is he rightly disliked by a lot of city fans, he is disliked by many other fans for poor management and lying about his true intentions. Steer well clear
  19. Maybe Rincewind, he occasionally lucks out (Johnson) but is inept, but the shite never sticks!
  20. Not true, I am not going while the Lansdowns are in charge, and I haven't been since I made that statement. if holloway comes in, that is away games off the list as well. That is how much I feel about it. Is is everything any city supporter should despise
  21., I never gave it a thought, it isall making sense now. Vetinari living in Guernsey now?
  22. CMOT Dibbler better feed him up (Holloway) before he gets here, just to ensure we never see his like at AG
  23. 23 years ago 15 years ago 7, 3 and 2 years ago, he hasn't changed. He would like you to believe he has, unfortunately I have been on the end of it twice and witnessed it the other times. Only once was what he said warranted. So i will go with my personal experience of the guy, over the media trained version of the guy.
  24. I'd like Holloway to sleep with your hedgehog, maybe the ***** can be *****ed!
