  1. Me too. I am starting to feel the same if a few of my colleagues and I decide to bugger off and self isolate millions ain't getting paid!
  2. I doubt it. I would think either side of that divide are equally as thick all for their own selfish reasons. Selfishness is the common denominator not political leanings from my experience
  3. Agreed. I'd go so far as to say seizure of bought goods if it gets too stupid. People just don't seem to be getting it. I just really wonder how ******* thick some people are in this country.
  4. Army will be out soon you can guarantee it. People are just not listening. They need it imposed on them if the cannot act sensibly
  5. I think if it was covered there would be very little paid out as the insurance companies would be bankrupt overnight.. more unemployment!
  6. The issue is covid19 is not named on the policy as it didn't exist at the time, so it is not covered. That is one of the issues I have heard reported
  7. First london hospital has hit critical capacity! It has begun
  8. If they get some footage of the young dying from it maybe they will get the message, as they certainly have been in Italy. Play it all over mainstream media and social media. It maybe hard to look at but sometimes you have to stop shielding people from the nasty shit that happens in this world. I know what is coming out in the media is not completely true. My italian work colleague has lost 2 20 something cousins to this with No underlying health issues.. but you dont hear about that in the media.
  9. It already has.. and they are thinking about releasing 3000 inmates not thought to be a danger to the public because of it
  10. It the things like tv heating lighting all the other gadgets at home which suddenly get turned on during the day which now get switched on. Lots off offices will still be open , many people now with laptops that will take themhome to use.. the power consumption is going to change massively
  11. Our world is going to change immeasurably. If most people have to work at home that is a lot more houses using power. Will our power grid cope? It's running at nearly max as it is. The repercussions could be huge, far worse than supermarkets being short of goods.
  12. Sorry that wasn't aimed at you it was aimed at the picture and caption on it
  13. Bullshit. Overtaking a hummer on left. That if true is in America not the m25 . The crap people scaremongering with. I have no doubt the military's going to be involved at some point.. but not driving yank hummers on the wrong side of the road
  14. Yep, that was my thinking, but I am getting angry thinking about those idiots so decided to say nowt rather than go off on a rant
  15. I suspect that will also be fluid, if it gets so bad it could be that people are handed out cards that allow them to go shopping on certain days and it has to be shown to police/army on request. Hopefully it never comes to that, but the wy this is escalating, it is a possibility. Exactly
  16. I wouldn't take anything off the table the way thing s are going, and at a quick rate. There have already been 3 or 4 actions which a month ago wouldn'tever in a month of Sundays thought would ever happen!
  17. Good luck to people Working fro...... staying at home looking after kids and trying to keep them in the house! I don't envy any parents out there trying to to entertain a kid who is getting bored in the house, especially if we end up in lockdown
  18. And don't forget, that is confirmed, if more is needed the chancellor will authorise it Italy are coming out of near bankruptcy still,it is low considering the state they are in, unfortunately the horse bolted for Italy, and they are playing a awful game of catch up
  19. Oh without doubt. Many types and all can be under the heading contractors. Each one very much open to market conditions. Some people may not have any other choice but to work in this type of role, a lot do, be it for more money or working for yourself. Something to think about if the choice is in your remote. That said if you are not under an umbrella company some of these contractors will be seen as a business in their own right so will hopefully be getting some help
  20. Well that is good news for not only restaurants but gig economy employees for the likes of just eat uber eats etc..
  21. Depends what temp staff are I guess. Like seasonal staff. Its shit but with those type of roles you a very vulnerable. Hell if you haven't been in a permy role for more than 2 years you really have no rights.. unless you there is a bullying case involved. It's the world we live now. Bad times
  22. Well they got rid of contractors with immediate effect.. unfortunately that is the life of a contractor. Make hay while the sun is shining
